Contrary to popular belief, apparently chameleons don't change color based on their surroundings, but in order to communicate and express 'emotion'.

inb4 some shitbird appears and declares that lizards can't feel emotion, I know, I just didn't know how else to phrase it.

OP, you shouldn't do anything to cause your cham to change colour. You will notice differences between sleep colour and awake colour, lazy calm colour and pissed the fuck off colour. Just wait and check in and watch. And keep the handling to a minimum, they hate it.

Well if you embarrass or anger your sister's comedian, he/she might get red. Comedians are used to telling jokes infront of others do you may have to try very hard.
