I really want to get a Betta. I currently have a 10 gallon tank, just the acrylic tank itself no extras. What type of filter, heater, deco, substrate etc should I buy?

There you go. You've got everything you need.

Betta fish are easy to take care of. At the minimum all you need is a vase and some water.

Filter, heater, deco, & substrate are all optional and can be bought as desired.

Does anyone know what kind of a plant that is? It grows next to one of my cacti but it doesn't look like the cactus and I've never planted anything else in that pot.

So something has happened to my friend's birds and she can't figure out why. I can't find anything online about it and I was wondering if you guys could shed some light on this.

My friend's ring-neck parrot ate her cockatiel. They were living together for months and had gotten along fine until suddenly one ate the other. The cockatiel is an adult while the parrot was very very young, supposedly. Their cage is clean and they both had food.

My guess is that the ringneck hit puberty and snapped, getting territorial with the cockatiel and then killed it. I don't know the exact age of it however, nor its birthday. That's just a random shot in the dark though. I don't know much about birds.

Any ideas?

holy shit
Now birds seem even more scary
>>
was it the right type of food? I don't know the nutritional needs of parrots but I've seen clips of cows eating birds and apparently they did that because they lacked calcium.
>>
>>2262803
behavioral issue of this kind is never going to be due to diet.

i would think it's a territory thing. Well, now you know you can never have another bird around that parrot...

What silly concern?, look at that tortured turtle, forced to carry that bucket for human amusement, and standing there doing nothing, that thing is hell I tell you, worked as a human sign for a day and it's the shittiest, more humillating job someone could have.

God, that introduction is revolting. She's writing like a 12 year old girl. At least if you're a part of the scientific community, be a bit more professional when you talk about it.

Hey /an/imals, I'm looking for a news story or related videos about groups of urban monkeys stealing / doing damage /acting agressive in which dogs were brought in to scare them off, the dogs were subsequently smacked around by the monkeys when they barked at and possibly "tamed" to some degree to the monkeys. Remember the story from a few years ago but can't find anything. Could i get a little help?

I was thinking about animal classifications for something off-topic to the board and trying to figure out what major groups there were. After a bunch of research, I've gotten stopped at this roadblock: what the fuck are these (circled in the picture)
They're other branches of life but it seems like they're completely separate from what appears to be "everything that lives".

we have a fluffy hen. now she has had babies, two are starting to grow feathers but the rest look like theyre going to stay fluffy into adulthood too. we rent out on a farm so these things are semi feral and i dont know too much about them but i imagine inbreeding is rampant. so whats the story with fluffy adult chickens. an unusual mutation?

Imagine how weird this would be for the dog. Your owner puts food in front of you, but there's also an object that's on fire in the middle of your food.

Good luck with that.
Think of zoo enclosures where its 12 foot concrete walls that they can't climb.
Plus bears don't like to be around other bears, so it would be a separate enclosure for each.
Bear would be miserable.
>>
>>2261570
What lol, I didnt mean if I could do it I was talking cost, and youre wrong. There are actual bear sanctuaries already sooooo idk what you mean by, huge concrete walls.
