>>2260083
Why/how did you take a photo of the underside? Is that the only picture you have?
It actually flipped onto its back when we noticed it a moved away, it was the only good photo we got before it hurried awy
>>2260083
Bump cause i'll love to identify an australian spider but I need time, cause you cunts have way to many and you used and underside picture.
Imagine being the last living creature of your species, singing for a mate that will never come..

I don't need to imagine to have this feel

So sad. A fate many birds have suffered.

Inverts-that-arent-shrimp Edition, Mk. III
>The tadpole shrimp (genus Triops) inhabits freshwater, ephemeral ponds in western North America through Central America and into South America. In the U.S., Triops are found in desert habitats. They live in small pools that accumulate after flash floods in the summer. Since these pools are rather short-lived, the Triops consequently have short lifespans, completing their life cycles in a mere 20-40 days!
>Fertilized Triops eggs are called "cysts" or "resting eggs," and can be dried for several years to decades before being hatching when rehydrated. In this cyst form, Triops can withstand extremes of heat and cold.

Discuss anything aquarium related here, including inhabitants, decor and issues.
Google is your friend.
Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.
Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture:
-tank size
-parameters
-any and all inhabitants + how long you've had them

What should I feed my nerite snail other than aquarium algae? Should I get more of them? I only have 1 in my 20 gallon planted tank.

Wow those sure are neat looking. Would definitely get some if they lived longer.

My cat Rambo did this all of the time and never once backed down. Once a dog charged him and he clawed right in the nose. Sometimes all he had to do was stare them down and they would runaway. He was kinda and loving around other cats and people. Sadly the one thing our brave little warrior couldn't beat was a car. We had to put him down and have him buried. I still go to his grave around the back.
Do you have any stories about badass domestic felines /an/.
I also had a cat that would stand up to dogs many times his size.
The one thing he couldn't beat was cancer. I have his ashes in a box on my shelf.
He was a good cat.
>>2256626
Why was your cat outside?
>>2256657
because they're shit, obvs
>running a muck
How many of you guys have triops living with your fish in aquariums? They're extremely good bottom feeders and eat almost anything so they'll clean leftovers and shit really well. They're prehistoric looking so they're cooler than ghost shrimp and they have armor protecting them from the asshole fish in the aquarium.
They're cheap too!
>>2255836
First time I saw one was on a clickbait article, about cryptids.
Cool looking for sure.
>>2255905
Yeah they are. And for some reason other than kids, most people don't treat them like they would ghost shrimp in their community tank. Triops are seen more as a kids first aquatic pet than an interesting and helpful member of the aquarium.
What's your favourite Homo (apart from H. sapiens, of course)?
My favorite homo is OP
Homo superior
Should Pitbulls be exterminated?
in my country and state you needed a license to keep pits and other fighting breeds before 2016
you needed to do a test, a psychological test, no criminal records, a special insurance
your house and yard got inspected
dogs needed to wear a blue collar and leash and a muzzle after an age of 6 months
now in 2016 you are allowed to keep every breed without restrictions because there are only good dogs and bad owners
>>2251325
Nah, but their negro owners should be, yes.
>>2251325
Look how these sub dogs are having fun mauling that guy, waving their tails, and they try to play with the police men before going back to mauling the guy despite their owner trying to stop them

First for tarantulas are fucking boring and there is no good reason to keep them because they don't do shit. Prove me wrong.
>>2241663
Tarantulas are friendly, you are just bitter.

>sits in cave/net all day and night

Meh.
(This was a thinly veiled attempt to get someone to suggest me some more active tarantula species that I'll see regularly.

First post here.
I wanted to know why normies are so afraid of snakes?
When i see a snake I don't sense danger or threat
Normies lose their minds and flip their shit
Wtf i don't get it even a small snake can do this to normies
>>2261453
Two reasons
1)they can't tell the difference between a venomous and non-venomous snake
2)"eww they're icky!"
I love snakes but a few of the venomous ones strike a fear chord in my heart. They look fucking awesome but scary at same time kinda like large salt water crocs.
As for normal non venomous snake bros its probably how much snakes=evil is drilled into peoples head along with christian imagery
It probably has a genetic basis.
I was reading an article about how blue marmorkrebs are "impossible" due to the offspring being clones of the mother. Couldn't genetic mutations cause changes to phenotype the same way they do in sexually reproducing species, just at a slower rate?
>>2261422
Sure.
Yes, ultimately, mutation is the source of all genetic variation.
>>2261422
looks blue to me!
My cat has all but refused to drink from a watering bowl.
The only water he drinks is from my bathtub after a shower (if there is water on the floor, which is gross cause it has soup/dirt/whatever in it); or water streaming out of my sink faucet.
I'm not home all day long so I can't be there any time he wants to drink and when I'm sleeping at night he almost never wakes me up so if he's thirsty at night, I never know.
I want to get him a water fountain; but they all seem pretty expensive, and I can't tell which one is best. I'm not hurting for cash, but I don't want to be spending 40-50 bucks on something I don't even know will work or that my little dude might not even drink from.
Anyone have one of these things for their pet? Do they use it? Is there a best one?
Thanks /an/

>which is gross cause it has soup [...] in it
You may want to reconsider your showering methods.
But in all seriousness you should be able to return it if it doesn't work out, right?
