Hello, Anons! After hours of realty research I just feel confused and hopeless. My partner and I are looking into buying our first home! Yippee! Only, we have no idea where to start. Should I hire a realtor? What will they require from us if we do hire one? What about houses that have been foreclosed on? I've seen a dozen that I wouldn't mind living in, but I don't understand how one goes about owning it.
I came here to get any advice or hear about any experiences from first time buyers.
>>17506107
Foreclosures sound nice but you generally need to have the money up front. It's not something you can really finance. In most cases st least. It might be different where you are though. But a good agent can help with questions like that. And it doesn't cost anything to use an agent anyway. They'll be paid a commission front the purchase price once you buy something. So I'd so go for the agent.
>>17506121
Oh, gotcha. Yeah, we definitely don't have the money to buy a house up front, haha. I suppose I'll start looking into a viable agent then. Thank you!
Get pre-approved for a mortgage... get a realtor... tell her/him what you want in a house.. go house hunting.
It should be a fun experience.. and there really isn't much to do to get the ball rolling.
Hi anons. I'm having a sudden problem with my dick that I hope isn't super serious.
I'm 19, second year at uni, and I was jacking off in my dorm bathroom like usual, jelqing a bit and stretching. For the rest of the day, I couldn't get a boner. I assumed I'd overworked it or something and just slept it off.
Today, wake up with morning wood at about 80% blood level. But after that, and for the rest of the time, I still can't get hard AT ALL. I mean physical stimulation won't achieve anything either.
Do you guys think I injured it or something? What kind of doctor should I speak to if you guys think it's serious? I'm starting to freak out.
>>17506077
Are you under a lot of new stress lately? Have you recently started or stopper a medication?
Play with your nipples.
>>17506087
I mean, university just started and all. I'm battling some insomnia with the changes.
Thanks for responding, by the way.
Hey /adv/
First post on here but bear with me
As college started recently i found out that one of my crushes from high school is going to the same college as me she never dated anyone but as soon as some one mentioned her everyone would go crazy over her I've been wondering on how to ask her out without being some weird creep.
Please help me I haven't talk to girls that much other than for projects in the past.
Pic related *Me*
>>17506067
Work out, have fun, don't stalk high school crushes, that's pathetic. If you wanted her, you've already bided your time enough. Also, learn to flirt.
>>17506067
Did you interact with her at all in highschool?
If so you can use that to talk to her, and if not you can be like "hey we went to the same hs and now we're at the same uni"
>>17506115
>n
Nope never really talked to anyone other than a few close friends
is 30 minutes too far to drive to work?
>>17506056
Well, if it pays well so it can make up for the money required for gas then no.
If not, I would look for a closer opening.
>>17506056
It depends on the job, the pay, and how much gas your car uses. It might not be worth it. But that being said, alot of people have been longer commutes. Mine is 45 minutes. Even longer if I use pubic transportation.
>>17506062
Oops. Public transportation. Not pubic. My pubic region does not need special transport. It just kind of . . . Follows me.
What do you guys think about Astrological Signs and the validity of it? Is it complete bullshit? Did any of you guys read up on the various compatible signs? Was there some truth to these compatibility charts?
Have you done your own tests to see if you indeed aren't compatible with a specific sign because if your sign? I've read many descriptions on my sign and they seem to describe me very accurately.
That pic is shit desu.
Also Scorpio is the best :^)
>>17506057
Can confirm.
Scorpio is best
>>17506043
of course it's complete bullshit, is that even a question?
only middle-aged soccer moms believe in this shit.
I saved up some money and got myself a used camera but I can't confront my dad about it.
Usually I ask dad about spending my money but I didn't this time because he doesn't want me buying things while I'm going trough uni (he doesn't want anything distracting me).
I have no idea what he's gonna do if I tell him upfront and I don't think I'll have enough courage to do so but I don't wanna keep hiding it from him because I mainly bought it for taking photos of friends and family.
You bought it used, just lie about the price.
>>17506041
Your good friend lent it to you.
>>17506041
Is your date paying for your school and stuff? If not it's really none of his business unless you are a minor. Of course you're not since minors aren't allowed here and would never post :-P
My roommate's dog is very sad and not eating because he's out of town for a few days and they're very attached. She normally eats dry food, but right now, all I can get her to chow down on are treats and cheese.
I'd like to get her some more palatable wet dog food to either just straight up give her, or mix in with her dry food, but I know next to nothing about dog nutrition. What is a good wet food?
I just don't want her to go 4-5 days without eating.
>>17506039
She'll eat when she gets hungry enough.
Changing dog foods can make her sick if you change suddenly without gradually switching.
I would recommend just letting her be. Don't give her too many treats. She'll eventually eat. S dog is not going to starve itself to death if food is available.
>>17506044
I should that if you do want to go forward with changing the food that any brand should be okay. They are designed to have the proper balance of nutrition a dog needs.
>>17506044
3 days is concerning for a dog to only eat half a bowl of food, though.
I'll hold out for a little more advice, but will take this to heart. I'm super concerned because I leave town tomorrow for a week, and we're leaving everything up to our fucking retard of a roommate.

first time posting on this board so bear with me
some time ago, this one girl added me on facebook and I accepted her seeing she's from my city and knows some of my friends. she's a qt3.14, really loves cinema & art. Since I do too, I figured I might as well use her to get some movie recommendations. We like a lot of the same music, movies, tv shows etc. I don't know, I never met her in person but damn I can't stop thinking about her.
anyway here's the deal
I want to ask her out without looking like just another facebook creep.
How the fuck do I do that?
I also fear she might know about some of the shit I did before, as she's friends with my ex.
>>17505977
Fuck you!
>>17506004
holy shit this is the best advice I've gotten in years. thanks anon!
>>17506004
No, but seriously, don't think about asking her out yet. Just say Hi first and say how you guys got similar interests and want to get to know her. Get the dating part after she sends you back a smiley face or two.
As for the ex and other peeps, FUCK THEM! its only between you and her. They dont own you or her
>Have date in three hours
>First date in years, because I was with a girl until like 3-4 months ago
>Almost nervous enough about it to cancel on the grill
What do? Its just a coffee date, at some weird euro style cafe, but I'm insanely nervous about it.
Any advice/tips? How do I keep from pussying out?
A coffee date is pretty lowkey because compared to getting dinner (which could be like, 2 hrs) it can go pretty fast. So, it'll probably be over before you know it.
I think this is a comparable situation to getting into a cold pool; don't pussy out and just jump in and you'll adjust quickly
The girl's probably just as nervous as you are, remember
>>17505933
>How do I keep from pussying out?
Stop making it out to be the end of the world if you don't click. Worst case scenario: you'll make a total fool of yourself and you'll never see her again. I guess you could also die (source: Final Destination).
>>17505933
Admit your nervousness up front - she almost certainly feels it too - by making a joke of it. "Aren't first dates awful? It's like a job interview when you're not sure what the job is" or the like.
I was utterly and completely incompetent socially in high school, but since I got into college, I've been doing better, to the point where I'll actually ask friends if they want to hang out instead of waiting and hoping they invite me. Unfortunately, if I'm not the one making the invitation, I rarely see friends.
So, what I want to know is how often should I ask someone to hang out if they aren't ever reciprocating the invitations? It's normally just getting lunch on campus, if that helps. And does that frequency go up if they have texted me in the past without me having to text first?
pic unrelated, of course
bump again
In a similar sitch but I find it means your friends are just lazy.
There's nothing wrong with inviting them a lot, if they legit aren't into it they'll let you know, otherwise keep up your rep as the contact-maker.
>>17505893
as often as you feel comfortable. sit back adn think abotu how much you invested versus how much you expect back.
there are some things to keep in mind. like hwo some people simply arent planners. all their lives tehy get invite dto do stuff, so they just wait to get invited again. i have a friend like that. if i dont reach out, we dont hang out.
and its not taht were not close, cuz im his best friend of three years, the guy he wants to meet his girlfriend to give the 'okay' on her and the person he calls as soon as he loses his job, or gets a job, or is just bored.
but im the one who has to make all the plans, and even then i have to insist he picks a time cuz if i say 'which night are you free?' he just says 'ill let you know?'.
its frustrating and we talked it out and he just doesnt plan well. he likes me and his gf cuz we both just manage him for him.
but in other cases, people really just dont like you. i had another friend of two years who woudl only ever invite me to group sitautions. i thought we'd bonded but he is a very surface person. he foudn out about my brain damage and stopped checking in. then acts surprised we dont hang out anymore when he didnt bother to send a 'are you feeling any better?' after four months.
I am 18 and in a few years i plan to break off from society and live in the forests/wander the earth. I don't really know anything about survival/hunting etc... I have thought of saving to get a nice telt and other equipment. What would be the best approach to learn how to survive indefinetly in the wilds?
lol grow up

Aren't sexual thoughts/attractions towards women inherently disgusting?
No.
>>17505858
Yes, unless she has a feminine penis
Why would that be the case...?
What are some good ways to piss people off without doing illegal things or using racism or sexism?
>>17505823
Do not underestimate how powerful the truth, when presented nicely and politely, can be OP.
>>17505823
"You are not helpless".
That phrase needs to be tailored to the person you intend to use it on. But if you can figure out how to do that for a given person, it is GUARANTEED to piss them off.
>>17505823
>"Calm yourself"
>pranks
>acting dismissive
>to a woman, anything suggesting she's not unique or special: "I like that dress, I see they're pretty common nowadays"
Long story short: I think I might be pregnant. I don't know for sure though. I'm not too young or would have people angry or disappointed in me, but I'm disappointed in myself. Been with this guy for 2 years now. Should I just accept this? I can afford a child, but I didn't think it would be happening this soon.
Accept it. Getting pregnant when your health and financial circumstances allow it with a man around is a blessing.
>>17505761
Depends. If he wants nothing to do with you and the child, are you able to support the child alone?
>>17505764
I could no problem. I just don't know if I'm mentally ready for a kid.
