Just do it. I'm in the Army, have been for about 3 years now. It's stupid, but it's stupid easy too. You can go to college while you're in the military as well, so you don't have to wait to continue your education (aside from the whole 1 year on post before you can start using your education benefits, but that's too much information for just questioning joining the military).

Look man, my life wasn't too horrible before I joined. Warehouse job, poor, okay fitness. I will say, however, that joining the Airforce would've given me a better quality of life as a single service member. If you have no wife/husband, no kids, no nothing, I'd suggest going Airforce. It's a lot entirely different treatment, like night and day
