This is a "conversation" I had yesterday with a friend who I think has been treating me as too much of an orbiter
I assumed that she was trying to tell me to go to the library with a one word message. Her not giving any additional information at all kinda set me off and made me stay put, I felt like she was acting like I was her bitchslave and could be called upon with a single word without any context.
Was I in the wrong for responding how I did (asking those questions and staying in my comfy balcony spot)? How should I proceed from here?
I walked by her like 3 hours later and all she did was turn her head.

I agree but this (insinuating that being only a bit of an orbiter is preferable) isn't the crux of my point and isn't what I'm saying. I would probably say things like "portraying me as too much of a villain" even though I wouldn't like being portrayed as a villain at all and wouldn't be implying that kinda being portrayed as a villain is okay. I think it looks fine. If you shave your arms you have to keep doing it every couple days and it makes your hair look weird if you don't do it enough. Pic related, I normally shave my arms but stopped for a week to try grow the hair back.

It's been so long since I've visited this board. I need help at something I didn't do in my life. I'm going to make it as clear and short as possible.

I'm letting him to my house where he can drink till he passes out, thus leading to a clustershit of mess the day after and he thinks I'm obliged to be with him in any fight, give money for his cigs and beers when he doesn't have any or I should take him as my role model.
Now, I have two main issues. I live with my schoolmate and he's a little bit dumb about this situation, he also wants to cut some ties off with him but...I think he cowards out when it comes to talking? I don't know, he completely changes. Another thing is, like I said, this guy started to take everything personally. I fear of a "sharp" outcome after this situation

So, I need help /adv/. How can I unfriend him, without inducing such tense situations?

I got into an argument with my bf about his cousin (25?) who was living with us for about half a year to work locally. He moved back and i was told he would be coming back "soon". Every time I asked my bf when he was coming back he would just get annoyed/angry and say "i dont know". So this being the third time I had asked over a month or two, he exploded, pretty unexpectedly. He kept asking why it matters, why it was important to me, what difference does it make.
When he told me his cousin was moving in, I suggested we should all sit down and have a talk to work out living together. Later, he told me he talked to his cousin about it all. I never knew what this meant exactly. His cousin never really cleaned up after himself, mainly in the kitchen. Worked nights, stayed in his room most of time. He largely ignored me and would act annoyed when i would try to talk him so i figured i should just stop trying. During our argument, he said he told his cousin he can come and go as he pleased, staying for however/whenever long. I had no idea this was the case. I also pointed out I expect nothing more/less of his cousin than I would my own brother. That being, as an adult, clean up after yourself, buy some groceries, help contribute. He said he didnt want to argue with his cousin or tell him what to do.
During the argument he says that I dont like his family, that I dont consider his family part of mine. Most of the time when his family visits, they dont make much effort to talk to me. There have been times his mom hasnt even acknowledged me when she comes in. My parents have given him their cell numbers and text him regularly. His mom has never given me her number. She speaks spanish natively, but she knows fluent english. I want to consider his family my own, but it feels like this is difficult even tho i try.
During the argument, he was yelling at me the whole time. We made up but the whole thing just fucked me up a bit.
I guess i just want some other perspectives...

So prom is less than a month away now and basically everyone in my friend group has a date besides me and this other girl. Inside our large friend group, I don't really talk to her that much at all but everyone is expecting me to ask her to prom now because were the last two without a date. I was planning on not going to the actual prom and just going to the party after without a date but that's a pretty weak move. So to cut to the chase... I don't really know how I should ask her. We would be going together as friends and I do not expect ANYTHING as far as hooking up with her, she's really attractive and I definitely would given the opportunity (but she's known to have a very specific type). I don't want to do anything too overblown and lovey-dovey but I also don't want it to be a simple awkward question. Need some ideas how to ease into the question and kind of break the ice.

This is literally only said by people that don't have friends or can't even get a date as a friend. Don't get me wrong, it's not some life changing experience, but it's one of those rite of passage things you should go to just to look back on it. If done right, you'll get a good story or two, a couple of cheap pictures, and don't have to be the guy that says "w-well prom sucks anyways" when people at college, later in life, or your kids ask about it.
Anyways, just keep it chill with this girl. Maybe have one of your friends slip to her that you're planning on asking as a friend, and then do something slightly nicer to genuinely ask. I mean, if she says to your friend "no I'm going with dude X or bust," you can pull back in this case.

Well I'm gonna have to disagree, it'll definitely be more fun if I have a date. I'll be able to incorporate myself much easier into the whole event rather than just popping up out of nowhere. I mean it's a time meant to spend with all of your close friends and it definitely doesn't 'suck'. And besides, a lot of people take others to prom as friends, I know there's at least 5 pairs out of my group that are.

Long story short, I am going to be 19 pretty soon and so far in life I haven't achieved anything. No proper friends, no romantic experiences, no academic achievements beyond passing high school, no significant work experience, no productive hobbies, no friendships with family, I live an empty shell of a life.
Due to my laziness and inexperience and bad decision making I managed to force myself into the limited choice of going to a mediocre university or not going to uni at all, and working shitty jobs for the rest of my life.
I look at all the people around me, including family and old friends, and everyone has much better things in their lives. They go to good universities, have respectable jobs, good relations with people, know how to socialise, have productive hobbies etc. The only thing that I can do that they also do is drive, but I will not have a car for many years until I earn enough.
I feel like my life is extremely shit and empty and for some years I tried to fill the void with cannabis and some other soft drugs but I gave them up because it just made it worse. I don't have any discipline or motivation to do anything, it takes me hours to get out of bed, I find everything tiring mentally and physically, I know I probably have some mild depression (confirmed by a mental health worker who only sees me once a month due to low funding and low priority) but I will not be able to get top notch care to fix it because I have no money and the UK health system sucks. Nobody sees mild depression as a priority when people have schizophrenia and dementia who actually need real help.
I have really low self esteem because of all this, feel very lonely (even my parents recently told me to stop asking for advice because they don't know how to help me), and my life is passing by and I haven't taken advantage of a single minute.
Someone please advise me, what am I supposed to do?

I was in the same boat as you last year, you just have to get out there and start doing shit. For me, it was getting back into fitness and starting to take martial arts lessons (and getting a new job). It gives you something to work towards, something to wake up in the morning for. Yeah, it's going to suck for a little while, but it'll get better.

Try treating it with cannabis oil if there's any chance it'll help. Although we hooked a family friend up with it and her cancer went into full remission, then it suddenly came back and she died.
