My neighbor hates me and my dog for some reason and has complained about her being off her leash and the landlord is saying if we get another complaint we're going to be kicked out. My simple question is does this neighbor need any sort of proof or is it legal for the landlord to just take her word for it and evict us? Live in an apartment complex by the way.

I've googled it but people mainly seem to complain about noise and such. This neighbor doesn't even live in our building by the way but have "seen her" running without her leash.

Biggest concern is that the landlord herself claims to have seen her as well.

I just want to know if they can legally evict us so I can start looking at new apartments or place to live if need be because I'm fairly certain she is going to complain again and the landlord is already up her ass.

just keep your dog on a leash dude, how hard is it?
take her to parks.
>>
>>18220056
The way your post is worded, it's rather unclear whether your dog has actually been off her leash or your neighbor and landlord are just making shit up to justify some sort of personal vendetta. If the former, just keep your fucking dog on the leash, idiot. If the latter, start looking for new apartments regardless because this is a sign of further trouble that you'll be experiencing down the road if you stay where you are.

It was never a problem before and all the neighbors and their kids like to pet her and know she's nice but this one crazy bitch moved in and shit her pants over it and even her husband was telling her to calm down because she grabbed my dog by the collar even though she wasn't being hostile at all. Which is weird because if you are afraid of a dog biting you why would you go up to a perfectly docile dog and grab their collar and start screaming? She was the first one to complain in 3 years so it's obvious it's her.

I'm perfectly fine with keeping her on the leash from now on if they are going to make that big of a deal about it since even the landlord was siding with us the first time because the way the woman acted, I'm just fairly sure she is going to complain anyway so I want to know if it's legal without proof and if the landlord wants to take her side now it seems the only thing I could do was ask for proof but if they don't need it I guess I'll have to look for another place.

Went to a therapist and he made me read fucking Ekhart Tolle and said the guy is the cutting edge. Some of the stuff he said made me only more confused. I feel like i'm getting scammed especially since he seems concerned with money and rejected the idea that hormones or some shit might be fucking me up and was not so fond of medication.

therapists these days give way too much medication
it's like oh you have problems? take pills, the problems are still there but at least you can pretend its all fine
>>
>>18219911

Ekhart Tolle is great.

Your therapist is trying to take you down a path of seeing the word differently than you vare used to.

It will be confusing, and you will resist it, until you understand.

He has a youtube channel, and maybe watching him answer some questions from people might give context.

This is genuinely a good journey you are going on.

Hey, so I have a dilemma. I just started seeing a girl again that I broke up with 2 years ago. Before that, we were together for almost 5 years.

At the time, one of the issues that we had was that a guy was flirting with her at college and via facebook but she didn't acknowledge it until things came to a peak and he basically invited her to his apartment because no one is home.

She lied about a lot of her communication with him and it hurt me badly.

Now she acknowledges what she did was wrong but my issue is that she's still friends with that guy. It irritates me because he purposely tried to break us up and eventually succeeded. Her friends from her school made everything harder because she told me they all dislike me and that they sided with that guy who tried to break us up. (they may or may not know about the messages he sent her)

Now that we're seeing each other seriously again, a lot of those emotions from the past are being unearthed and I now realize I can't stand her college friends and I'm extremely unhappy with her having any association with the guy that broke us up.

What do I do to cope with these emotions?

Break up with her.
Else she might do it again if things get tough, and this time she'll bury the evidence so deep even sonar won't be enough to find it.

That was pretty sketchy of her and I don't know why you've gotten back together.

She seems kinda mean.

Also how should I respond to this in a cring yet non gay manmer?

That's the thing though, I don't think her intentions were to flirt with him (maybe on a subconscious level?) but he has a girlfriend now and I don't think she's actually hooked up with him.

Hey guys

So I've never had a gf before and I'm supposed to meet up with a girl today at a park and such so we can hang out. She said though she can't date (I'm 19 she's 17, she's daddy's girl), but I will probably be able to make her opinion change if it hasn't already.

So Im asking, should I stand her up? We were supposed to go to dinner and a movie but she said to her mom she was going to walk and wash her dog today, so I'm basically tagging along getting cock blocked by a dog. If I stand her up will this make me seem cool, like I'm too busy to spend time with her so she would want me more? I'm kind of pissed about the dog thing because I wanted to go get dinner and see a movie because that sounds more enjoyable, but it annoys me because I don't know if she agreed to wash the dog before or after we set a time.

Thanks.

I'm just annoyed because I don't know if she made the plans to wash the dog before or after we made plans.

Standing her up isn't going to make you look cool unless that's what the cool kids are doing these days.

You aren't even really dating and (just how you worded it in the OP) are thinking only about getting your dick wet. IDK, I could be wrong but this is how I am seeing it. Take your time if you like this girl and don't expect her to want to rush into the bed.

Then again wtf do I know. Honestly I am going to hit I'm not a robot and pick an image on my phone and start dinner.

I caught my best friend's girlfriend cheating on him. They've been dating for 4 years. After I caught her, she first started crying tell me she's made a mistake, then she got angry, and now she's threatening me. I didn't say a word to her. She's called me 26 times.

My friend will be devastated. He's had bouts of depression in the past, and his life is finally starting to look up. I know I have to tell him, but how do I go about doing it?

Just straight up tell him. That's what I would want my friend to do.
>>
>>18219655
Like ripping a bandaid off.

Tell him you gotta meet up with him, talk about some shit, chill out like you guys usually would, beer, blunts, video games, cruising, and tell him straight up what you know, what you saw, and not at all what you assume.
>>
Just tell him. Invite him out to a neutral place where he might not overreact and just talk to him about it. Be there for him at the moment and let him deal with it after. If they break up, make sure he doesn't have to deal with that alone. It's hard.

I really begin to hate the God or whatevers rules. It's just really fucking mathematical like God doesn't care about anything except you follow his stupid blueprint, he doesn't care if you get shot or break a bone, "that's just physical, nonspiritual problems". I'll just criticize Christianity/Christians (I used to be a better Christian than most of them): Christians are brainwashed, they will argue, yet disagree or agree with the same exact thing if it's presented to them in a different way, most of them are retarded morality robots (and God likes them to try). Their #1 rule is to love all as equals and do to them what you'd like done to you (which they always, always fail to do) - it's wrong. If you love someone and can let them go, that is cruddy love, not real, you can't love everyone equally or the same. And about "spiritual growth", it is completely selfish, the one good thing about Christians that's bad about some Hindu's, Buddhists and non-Christians is that they feel obligated to help others with "spiritually petty" things (things that don't help them but help the world, God may even DISLIKE what you're doing: like helping gay/transgender rights in some way, God sees transgenders as mere perverts), not just sit and meditate or pray all day like a selfish faggot - I do this for 10 hours a day, I only post this because I have a problem, I need to do something for "the world" (spiritual term for "nonspiritual people") but it interrupts my stupid and selfish meditation.

Animatorfag here,

Wondering how much insurance is going to cost me if I rent an office space. One place in particular is only $100 a month (utils inc) + $100 down for security. The realtor told me I would need business insurance to rent. (Example: Someone visits my space and ends up falling or some shyt)

I don't have any employees, don't make any money, have a decent amount of views on the internets. I figure investing in a physical space outside of my home could be one of the best ways to evolve my hobby into a source of income.

Thank you!

the only way to find out is to actually call a place that deals insurance and ask them, becaue each city, state, and office size, type of office etc. is going to have completely different answers.

here in los angeles we neededi nsurance in order to GET the office, but after that it expired and we've been uninsured ever since. its an office so... it doesn't really matter.

that being said, getting an office will not somehow magically bring in more money, all it will do is give you an expense and force you to travel in order to work.

I hear ya, the office is less than 10 minutes away from my house, and in a decent area considering it's only $100 a month.

I guess I'm just contemplating being a little embarrassed if the insurance ends up being sky high and I tell the lady nope. Pretty beta behavior though. I did get one quote as low as $5 a month though.

I know it won't magically bring me more money. I'm thinking of it almost on the same terms as getting a gym membership to get /fit/. If I show up to my 300sq ft room with just a window, chair, and desk there will be almost zero distractions for me.

>(still live at home with parents, have full time day job, minimal expenses already)
>>
>>18219612

hard disagree, if you need to pay more than 100 bucks a month just not to be distracted than you're not really built for animating,.

Why is it considered socially unacceptable or weird to contact someone you used to be close with when a lot of time has passed since the last time you spoke?
15 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>18219513
because for some reason or another you let the relationship dissipate and you've both likely changed severely over time. you're essentially strangers with some shared memories.
>>
>>18219513
It is not weird nor unacceptable unless she is your EX and you already have new gf.
>>
>>18219513

Because life goes on and by doing something like that you're implying that you haven't. Contacting people from your past is basically just saying that you've got nothing worthwhile occupying you now, so you cling to memories of the people you used to know.

So lemme give it to you straight. I'm 2,350 behind rent, and have been behind since January. Some reasons are I'm the only one who had a job in the house, and quit because I realize my girlfriend and 2 other roommates were not able (I call laziness) to get a job to help with rent.
Not only that, but the last two roommates that have decided to live here did not pay rent and gave false promises of doing so, giving the illusion they would by paying the first month.
My question is, my roommate that hasn't not payed any rent since January left his Mac Laptop that is worth about $2k resale. Mind you, he had a bad drug problem, and said have given him countless times to pay ANYTHING, and just went to Daytona Beach without giving us a dime. Should I bite the bullet and accept the consequences my roommates have put me in, or go full-retard and possibly dig myself a deeper whole and sell his laptop?
11 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
This sounds pretty.. Complex? If I understand correctly there are what like.. 5 people? And you're the only one that had a job that you quit because no one else worked either?

Sounds like you should sell the laptop I don't see any reason why that would be morally wrong given the situation but someone else will need to confirm it's legal in this situation
>>
>>18219491
4 roommates, I'm pretty stressed so not thinking straight. I just learned if I come up with 1,900 of it, I can stay. By Monday. And I didn't quit my job like a retard, I still have a means to make money. They don't.
>>
>>18219498

sell the laptop and let the others be evicted. let that be a lesson to you on shitty roomates and the importance of paying bills first. Don't ever let yourself get so far behind again. If you get roomates that wont pay their share, ask for them to be evicted or move out.

My idea of effective charity on the scale of $1000 donation is like this.

>write a small, illustrated and entertaining essay containing the most basic life knowledge, things people learn by the time they are 50
>find an intelligent, loner type of kid, maybe one who has shitty parents
>give him the essay, have him promise to read it, and give him $1000

What would be in the essay? Just little comments on subjects like dating, the economy, religion, philosophy, and psychology. There would only be the most important bits of info, and they would be put very frankly so that a young teenager can easily understand.

I never got the money to buy a gaming rig, a guitar, or even full library of books. I never dressed well. $1000 before I was the age to work would have helped me a lot, and so would some unbiased adult knowledge.

What do you guys think? I'd rather do this than give money to some agency that pockets a portion and might not even help people.

I've thought about something like this as well. I was a jobless shut-in well into my twenties and I could've used someone to mentor me out of that rut earlier.
As a young male you're basically not allowed to complain and are given no sympathy or benefit of a doubt. You're expected to do your job better, with less hand holding, to provide for yourself, to be OK with working any job. Otherwise you're a slacker.

Not saying it's a good idea to just give someone money like that but we could use some programs that help people like this while leaving their dignity intact.
>>
>>18219449
you're one of those guys that has a really negative outlook and discourages people from doing anything because, according to you, the most negative outcome will always happen?

what percentage of kids buy illegal drugs anyway? do you mostly talk out your ass?

also, stupid book? if you processed the description of it, you'd see it would be almost impossible to be stupid. it just contains mature knowledge, something you probably lack as a 4chan faggot. most of you guys are fucking useless and I use you as a sounding board, but I don't want to alienate those of you who are reasonable by saying that...

There are mentorship programs. They really cut into work though. Maybe it's good that way - some are very successful people who don't need to work full hours.
