during my childhood , i played a collection of dos games on my dads computer.There were no disks,but instead a system of starting each game .So for example,if i wanted to play doom ,i would first push "s" and it will show a screen of games , and then type "j" to narrow it down to doom.The layout was a black screen with white text around a blue border

So I know this is going to sound retarded and this thread is likely pointless, but I'm going to try god damn it. I have a Famicom Power glove that is going into an NES that is modded to have a Famicom EXP port. The Power glove works fine with every game I try except for Super Glove Ball, which being a US release, did not have support for the Famicom EXP port. I have modified the ROM to allow the Famicom EXP port to be used and it works off of my Everdrive, however during seemingly random moments, the screen blanks out and comes back and I see some graphical bugs at the bottom for a split moment, then things return to normal. If this was once every once in awhile, I could deal, but it happens too often and ruins the game. Is there any hope of getting this issue to stop or should I just invest in a US glove instead (or maybe a Famicom...). It should be noted that my Everdrive is a Chinese one and although I've never had an issue with that fact, in theory it *could* be related.
Seriously any suggestions would be helpful.

It has been nearly ten years since the last Advance Wars game, and I want a new game to scratch that itch, and I heard of Super Famicom Wars which game out in 1998 for the Super Famicom.
I know the game likes a story or plot, but how is the gameplay? I heard that the game is more difficult than any of the Advance Wars games.
How is it that in 2017 this game still does not have a translation patch despite being from a Nintendo franchise that has a dedicated following and little text that needa to be translated?

I remember walking through the NES aisle wishing I could own Mega Man 1 on the NES. Suddenly a kid passes by and buys it and 2 other games like it's nothing. The NES I owned was a gift from the land-lord who felt sorry for me and my bros.
I also remember wishing I could own Ninja Turtle and Batman toys -- something I never got to own.

I picked up a DMG with Tetris at the thrift shop the other day for $1.98. I cleaned the battery contacts and it fired up and works great. The shell is obviously yellowed and there are some scratches on the shell. Most are minor and there are 2 small dings on the back. The screen is scratch free though. I know how to remove the yellowing by retrobrighting but what can be done about the scratches? The case has a slight texture to it and it seems that if i try to sand out the scratches it will just sand the texture smooth in those spots. Is retrobrighting it and lightly sanding the scratches to remove sharp edges all I can really do?
Also whats good way to get the marker off the tetris cartridge? Ive tried Alchohol and a magic eraser with no success.
Bonus question: I also picked up aGBA SP-101for $10. It works great with perfect screen but the shell is pink pearl and is beat up pretty bad. Are the shells they sell on amazon for $10 bucks a good idea?

Im in the south east united states. It just depends on where you go. Some thrift stores you will find stuff like this just laying out on the shelves for nothing. At others they will put it behind the counter and slap a typical ebay price on it. I don't really care for the yellowing.

I really only need the case but it probably wouldn't hurt to get all the other crap too. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't complete garbage. I really like to keep stuff original as much as possible but the case is so beat up i figure it cant really hurt anything at this point. TheGBAhad a hello kitty sticker skin on it so most of it is still in good shape, but the edges are rekt.

Couple things tho:
I had maybe 6 OP characters by the end with everyone else being almost useless. I tried throwing characters in to raise their levels but they were usually nothing but cannon fodder. Did I fuck up along the way or does this happen to everyone?
What's up with the ending?so the MC transports everyone out and sacrifices himself but lol jk not really he tends some fields now. Or am I reading into it wrong?
Thas it for complaints. I loved it otherwise.

Also it really depends on who you use, if you have a bunch of knights or don't find the good weapons for your characters or even level them enough it is very easy for loads of people to fall behind.

This tends to be the case with most SF games, unfortunately. I don't like the character balancing or the level up system at all. The randomization of some levels makes it possible (and later frequent) to get absolutely no stats from a level up. So save scumming is necessary to avoid getting stuck with weak characters.
Since the AI has a bloodlust for Max, his stats are probably the ones you want to pay the most attention to. He's supposed to get some pretty crazy level ups after promotion, but it is still statistically impossible for him to get stuck with insufficient HP or defense power.
