Probably because most people have never even heard of it.

It blows my mind that we live in a time when the Genesis/Mega Drive has been PROVEN to be inferior almost every way, and Segacucks still defend it because "muh Sonic" or whatever.
There's a reason Sega failed as a hardware developer and now develops games for Nintendo. They were a shit company with no foresight, who released inferior technology, and derivative/uninspired games. Nintendo looked to the future and innovated, while Sega looked to Nintendo and imitated.

This game is one of the best SNES games, and second only to LTTP as an action RPG on the system. I've thought this ever since the game came out in 1992.

I love everything about this game but one thing: it's so short and easy it doesn't really feel that satisfying when you beat the game.

You guys want to have an Alice thread?

Game is pretty hard. I haven't beaten it yet, but I really like American McGee's twisted interpretation of Wonderland.

Sorry bro, not retro.

In before this thread gets deleted, play Heavy Metal FAKK 2, Alice was pretty much a mod of that game. Ritual Entertainment developed a heavily modified fork of Quake 3's engine for FAKK 2 and then EA bought the whole code base for Alice, which they used pretty much as is, there's a lot of left overs from FAKK 2 and the non-shooting gameplay is very very similar.

Is it not? We have Thief 2 threads and Deus Ex threads on /vr/ right?
Alice was released in 2000. Is '99 the cutoff year?

Post screenshots from retro games in 4k.

Most modern AMD/Nvidia cards can use VSR or DSR to run 4k even if your display is 1080p.

From there it may take a lot of fiddling to get things right depending on your emulator.

Working on N64 atm, PS1 next, Visual boy is a bitch to get it scaling past X4 while maintaining the aspect ratio.

Luckily FF7 PC's re-release runs 4k native.

Can we have a thread about Bomberman? I never see this series mentioned on /vr/, aside from the same anon occasionally mentioning Saturn Bomberman.

The portables are by far my favorite games in this series. The Japanese versions even came in collectible tins. For reference:

JAP title -> ENG title
>Bomber Boy - Atomic Punk (Dynablaster in EUR)
>Bomberman GB - Wario Blast
>Bomberman GB2 - Bomberman GB
>Bomberman GB3 - (unreleased in ENG, aside from a fan translation)
>Pocket Bomberman - Pocket Bomberman
>Bomberman Quest - Bomberman Quest
>Bomberman Max (three versions)
>Bomber King: Scenario 2 - Blaster Master Boy / Jr. (spin-off)

The Japanese version of Pocket Bomberman included a level editor, presumably as a computer application on a floppy disk. The editor interfaced with the GB KISS hardware that was built into the game cartridge, and user-created levels could be transferred to friends' cartridges. Of course, this was disabled in the English version since GB KISS never made it overseas.

Being a dream wasn't even a twist in Link's Awakening, is the thing. You're flat-out told that multiple times throughout the game.

Pretty sure Krizz carts can't play Yoshi's Island either. Not sure about Start Fox or Mario RPG.

If you have to sacrifice compatibility either way, you may as well grab a cheap Chinese cart and get repros of everything else.

Now fuck off with these obvious shill threads.

There are no flash carts that csn emulate Super FX and whatever enhancement chip Super Mario RPG uses, fag.

anon i am not a expert in wonderswan and i can choose between the original model for 27 bucks or the color model for 45

all the games are compatible for the color version? it really deserve it? or for the case just pick the original for play and its ok

can you help me?

Classic WS games are compatible with WSC, but only some WSC games are compatible with classic WS. There's no way of knowing in the latter case except to try it and see.

It's not entirely dissimilar to how some GBC games were compatible with monochrome Game Boy. The difference here is that compatible GBC games were actually designed with that compatibility in mind, whereas some WSC games might incidentally work with classic WS hardware. With Game Boy, you have something called a dual-mode cartridge. This was usually a solid black cartridge, although color variations like PokeMon Gold and Silver exist. The black carts signified compatibility with classic GB. But WSC carts don't have any such indication of their compatibility.
>>
>>4237891
ok, thank you so much, i will pick the WSC.

I know the Game boy case but i dont know how works in this console, so rare for me, but looks interesting, lets see

/vr/ I need your help.

I've been playing Parasite Eve on PSX and am 7 hours into it. I just bought it onsale from PSN and would much rather play it wirelessly on my PS3.

How do I copy my PS1 save to PS3?

I have FREEMCBOOT on my PS2, I already transferred the ps1 card to a usb key that way, but it still doesn't show up on ps3.

what's your opinion on it.

They probably have the most iterations of each sound track that I know of, but otherwise there are some good song, some great one, and a lot of boring ones. I used to have the whole album of the Sharp X68000 of Ys III which was really great, but I tried listening to the other iteration (there was a progressive rock one, a jazz fusion on, PC98 one, and the worst the SNES and Genesis
>>
Yuzo Koshiro is my favorite composer although I have not played any Ys games. I really want it for my Master System tho
>>
PC Engine versions had the best Ys soundtracks followed by PC-88/98 versions.
