Why does no one ever talk about Lemmings? It's such a freakishly addictive game with tons of fan made content.
i remember playing the SNES port of that game for several hundred hours when i was like 7 years old. still couldnt beat all the levels. shit was hard.
>>4232109
Lemmings 1+2 were a couple of my favourite games back in my Amiga days.
>>4232109
I remember playing it on my schools computer when I was around 11 or something.
I can't remember what operating system or computer it was though.
It had one giant yellow folder on the screen with tabs if there were more programs than could fit on it. Also the CDs were in plastic cases where you put the whole case in the drive.
Reminder that Keiji Inafune is the creator of mega man.
>>4232045
Does it really matter? Keiji designed the original art for Mega Man from Akira Kitamura's pixel art. They both had a hand in his creation.

>Keiji Inafune
That picture clearly says Keji Inafune. It's a totally different guy.
I want to play Might & Magic 3 but my autism makes me anxious for skipping 1 and 2. Should I go back and play those? They seem very tedious and long.
You should play them after the later games since they are more demanding.
1 isn't that tedious, it just lacks some features like automap.
2 has some annoying aspects like 250 monster enouncters.
In both games you can only save in inns and party death means you have to restart from there. Enemies are met in separate encounters instead directly engaging them on the map. Random encounters also mean you'll never walk alone.
>>4232014
III takes place in a completely different world than 1-2 and IV-V are also in a different world with a different party.
About the only thing you will learn from 1-2 is the beginning of the whole Corak vs Sheltem thing, but their backstory is only explained in 3.
So fire away at 3, no worries.
>>4232014
As the others put it, MM3 is a great start to the series -it was my first computer RPG as a kid- as 1, and especially 2 are more brutal.
Start with 3, if you want more of the same go for World of Xeen (4+5) and if you crave a more old-school experience, go back to 1.
How rare is this? What's the value of this game?
It seems the only versions of Splatterhouse I can find on ebay are the FM Towns Marty, Turbo Grapfx 16 & the PC Engine. But not the Window's PC version.
>>4231294
Common as fuck. A couple bucks maybe.
It seems your google and language skills aren't strong.
>>4231405
>common as fuck
If it was common, I would have found more copies of this.
>>4231405
>Common as fuck. A couple bucks maybe.
I wouldn't listen to this faggot child. He might be right but I did a quick eBay and Google search and couldn't find anything matching the pic you provided. The only one I could find that looks similar is this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Splatterhouse-Arcade-For-Japanese-Windows-Authentic-/302432770460?hash=item466a65d99c:g:H84AAOSwkRhZVddO
I'd hold on to it. I doubt it's worth a fortune or anything but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if you could scrape a few hundred for it. Like you said, I don't see any copies of this game for windows.
Is there a good class guide for this game? Been looking for one but so far found nothing. I know there are shit classes but can't figure out specially when all of them looks useful.
This is all I could really find

I'd say you should just go by trial and error, honestly. Which is a mildly harsh suggestion given how time-intensive the game can be, but I think that part of the fun of Ogre Battle is experiencing the variety of options available to you, and playing it without knowing the exact mechanics makes the experience feel much more emergent. You don't need to make "optimal" choices to succeed at the game, per se; in fact, getting a "perfect run" of Ogre Battle would be almost impossible without reading a step-by-step guide that makes all the choices for you, at which point you might as well just watch a video of someone playing the game.
This is an ogre battle artwork thread
This game needs more love. Medievil is easily one of the greatest games on the system and I rarely see it mentioned. If you haven't played it, it's sort of like a combination between Ghosts n' Goblins and Zelda. Incredibly colorful graphics, charming old CGI, decent combat, a huge slew of items and rewards to obtain, good difficulty, etc. I also love that the levels are designed to be re-visited later in the game so you can unlock new areas with the items you've acquired. The best adventure game on the console by far.
Too bad it runs like absolute steaming horseshit.
Played it for the first time like 3 months ago, and it was the very first time i got motion sickness, from both, the shitty camera and disgussting framerate.
ejected the disk and sold it for 30 on Ebay.
>>4230889
Lmao typical motion sickness faggot. "The game sucks because I'm genetically damaged", whatever you say retard.
>>4230787
>The best adventure game on the console by far
I like the game, but for the sake of comparison, what other adventure games are there on the playstation?
in Brazil.
do you think they're less happy than us with our AAAs?
>>4230702
It is retro, you /v/tard, just because is not discontinued in macaco land doesn't mean is not retro.
>>4230702
Get off the internet João, your family needs to use the Dial up
Why did this thing fail? Was it really all Pokemon's fault?
Wasn't it sold exclusively in Toys'R'Us?
As a retarded kid, I thought it was just for arcade fighter ports. Not a "regular" handheld.
>>4230183
You weren't wrong.
Hi, I wanted to use Gameboy Interface Software to play Gameboy Games in good Quality on my Gamecube, so I bought a Action Replay Disc and a Wisd Memory Card Adapter. The Disc Works, but not the SD Card. First I tried a Sandisc Micro SDHC Card (16gb) from SanDisk in an Kingston Micro SD Adapter. After no sign of functionality i tried a Kingston SDHC with 4GB; Again, nothing worked, do you whats wrong?
You need to use a non-SDHC SD card.
>>4230142
What this anon said. However, once you boot up your swiss.dol, you can swap out the SD card for an SDHC card. Source: I do this on the regular.
I also tried a SanDisk Micro SD XC (128gb); It also didnt worked. What Kind of SD Card would probably work?
what to do when space becomes issue?
>>4230094
stop wasting your money on plastic and enjoy the time you have with your friends and family now before you lose everyone important in your life?
>>4230096
you seem to be in the wrong place. faggit is over that way.
>>4230094
Don't collect cardboard.
Seriously re-assess what you actually care about in terms of your collection.
Figure out a more efficient storage solution.
Better than Adventure.
>rings 7
>score 0
They certainly understand 3d level design better than Sonic team.
The controls are still ass, but the designers seem to at least understand this and make most platforming segments involve very wide platforms.
They don't overuse bottomless pits and make the levels giant race courses suspended over an endless void.
>>4230041
... Not!
>ITT: What are the most amusing retro gaming misconceptions?
For me it would have to be where people compare SNES and Mega Drive multiplatform games and say that the SNES version has larger sprites, when in fact the sprite size is exactly the same but look more inflated on the screen since the SNES display resolution is smaller.
That the Japanese versions were harder than the Western releases. There were only a few instances of when this was true (SMB3 comes to mind). But for the most part, the West actually got harder versions due to gaming companies not wanting everyone to beat their games on a single rental.
I feel that this myth took off when Nintendo didn't release the hard as hell SMB2J and were like "This must be too hard for us."
>>4230024
That the SNES was capable of 480i resolutions when in fact only rpgs used it for some menu screens.
>>4231271
even the PS1 only does 480i for menus (for the most part), how do people think games actually used it on the SNES?
Is Jagged Alliance 1 worth playing or should I just skip to JA2?
I'll give you the short answer, which is just
play Jagged Alliance 2. JA1 doesn't have that much substance compared to JA2.
I have autism and can't allow myself to jump into a sequel without playing the original first. This even applies to spiritual successors. It makes going through my backlog really daunting.
>>4230586
Same here, bro :(
wwyd
>>4229703
Kinda neat, honestly, but I wouldn't dream of spending $800 on it. Also not retro.
Get a new OS.
>>4229703

I'd Mc fucking kill myself.
Man, fuck this guy.
