Can anyone recommend me a fixed blade knife that comes with a scout carry sheath (Parralel to belt line)?
Not really limited by funds, just something that isn't solely a hunting knife or survival knife.
I bought an ESEE 4 and while it is great knife, a scout carry sheath of good quality is a couple hundred, and I'd rather just see if there's another knife in the same range that already comes with a scout carry sheath before I just buy one for the ESEE.
If you find a leather sling maker (for lever guns), they should be able to make a good one for $80 or so.

>a scout carry sheath of good quality is a couple hundred
wut
The best kydex sheath makers I've seen charge about a $100 at most, and that's for bigass bowie sheaths.
Even leather doesn't go for a couple hundred unless you're using exotic leathers.
Where are you seeing people charge a couple hundred?
why wouldn't you just get the knife you want and then get the sheath you want?
Why are there no "long range" shotguns? Like some form of multi projectile weapon system, effective beyond 50 metres.

>"meters"

They tried it with Project Salvo, but in the end they found that a more or less conventional rifle firing smaller, but still more or less conventional rifle cartridges was more effective.
This is Russia's newest MANPADS called Verba. It was recently sent to Russian troops situated in Syria.
Anyone knows why?

like most new russian military equipment, this is probably a just a propaganda piece
>>34761649
they sent it so it can fall into anti turkish forces hands and shrek turk helicopters

Its for those pesky drones
So I was at the range today, and here's what I noticed firing my 10/22.
Top is where the aim was for the entirety of the trigger squeeze, and the bottom two are where where it jumped during the crack of the shot. This was off a sandbag with the stock pulled tight into my shoulder.
What am I doing wrong? The jump matched the impact point.
I should clarify the black is the target on the paper and the red cross is my scope's crosshair.
>>34761631
What distance? What ammo?
Youre jerking the trigger
Focus on pulling it straight back
The H&R 999 is the only aesthetic top-break revolver I've ever seen. Any /k/ommandos care to broaden my knowledge?
>>34761589
Lines remind me if the actual most aesetic revolver, the Webley
>>34761589
They're nice looking but the grips are a bit dopey looking.
>>34761589
watch out for the rear sight flying off. what year is yours?
What are /k/'s thoughts on assault shotguns?
>>34761546
How many fucking rooms are you trying to sweep in a row?
They're nice.

Not OP but all of them, I think. I have a VEPR. It's a meme gun, no doubt about it. Some memes are spicy.
A sig p320 compact (a gun I've shot and found a little floppy)
A Glock 30s (a gun I've shot and found less floppy than the 320)
A sig p226 in 40 (I've never shot 40 or a 226)
Also, what is 40 like to shoot? Is it manageable? Would you let a first time shooter use one?
Flippy not floppy eww thanks autocorrect
>>34761495
I learned to shoot on a P229 in 40SW. Definitely usable for a first timer, but it is flippy.
>>34761495
>is it manageable
Female FBI agenst can manage with it
I'm fucking poor as hell, and my eye sight sucks. I broke my glasses at my last shooting session. Anything over 100$ for frames is not happening. What do you guys?
>>34761266
I wear my normal glasses with Beretta eye protection on top, IDC if I look retarded wearing it that way. You're looking at minimum $350 for new glasses.
>>34761309
(op) Check these out:
https://www.sportrx.com/shopby/best_sports-shooting.html?p=2
you don't need ballistic glasses for normal range shooting. the purpose of eyepro for range shooting is keeping sparks out of your eyes, that's it. Don't shoot a gun that explodes and you won't need more protective eyewear. so regular RX glasses are just fine unless you shoot a glock
Hey /k/ my lgs has some 1908 Colt Hammerless pistols for $600 a piece. Should i get one? This would also be my first handgun.
>>34761075
Assuming it's in good shape, that's fairly low for a 1908. The .380s go for like $800 on gunbroker.
As your first gun? If that's the gun that's going to keep you excited about the hobby, sure. I'm not one for telling people "get a glock/get a 22/get whatever". You should get something that will make you proud to be a gun owner, that will keep you interested. Just be aware it's not like gonna be the best carry piece or whatever you might imagine.
>>34761075
Do it. Carry it too.

Should autists and downies be allowed to own firearms? Should they be allowed conditional ownership (licensing) if they can prove that their IQ and social aptitude are sufficiently high?
>>34760916
you think a government should be saying whom can own what?
>>34760942
Gun control isn't about gun ownership. It's about self defense rights. Do retards have full human value deserving of full rights of self defense? I honestly don't know. We used to keep them locked up in nut houses for a reason.
>>34760970
I don't see why you are so hellbent on stripping away your own rights.
Hey /k/,
Whats a good first gun to get?
I'd like to get a hand gun, currently no experience with hand guns, have a lock box and am 27. Currently living in Michigan and I know the laws here are super lax.
I have a budget of lets say $500.
Suggestions?
Handguns are 100% personal preference.
Fingerfuck, and if possible shoot, as many as you can, so you can find what works for your hands and your shooting style.
Also, Glock 20.
>>34760827
You can try to get a CZ-75 for $500.
Get a Glock. Don't trust the hipsters here with their slavshit and SiGs, they are overpriced garbage that are only bought because they're not mainstream
What's /k/ drinking tonight? This is hands down the best beer ever, 8% alcohol but it's not bitter at all! The Abita purple haze is also really good.
>>34760780
Bitter is good, though.

Putting together an HD gun. What do you faggots keep under the bed? I need some inspiration.
I just have artillery pointed at my house. If someone breaks in, fire for effect.

a real gun, not some piece of shit mossberg

>t.remshit shill
Congrats /k/, you're in charge of building an army! Not one with guns though, that's a bit too easy.
No, you are gonna build a medieval army. You have control of a small country with roughly 15th and 16th century level technology. How do you plan to outfit them, organize them, and lead them?
>>34760597
I establish a competent personal guard, then hire mercs for everything else.
>>34760597
I arm them with arquebusses.

When did the word "operator" become so ubiquitous regarding marksmen and professionally trained gun wielders? What's the etymology behind this word?
>>34760519
2005
>>34760519
the earliest it's was used in military sense I've found was as something to call the early Delta guys when they were doing sneaky stuff independently of chain of command. They weren't enlisted so some jerk off officer in the combat zone could boss them about and they were gonna comission these guys obviously then some other chain of command dick could touch them so on mission they were on operators
it diffuses from there
source I read Inside Delta Force 3 years ago
