So say someone made a contact shot on a bad guy with a snubby .357, how much tissue damage do you reckon would be caused by the extra energy that is released at the muzzle vs a point blank shot, say from 2-3 feet away? Would the difference be substantial, or not? I bet many of you who have fired full-house .357 out of a snubby have wondered this. Also, would there be less risk of blowing your eardrums out from a contact shot (perhaps muffled by bg's body) vs point blank? Pic related (my BUG)

There would be a significant amount of tissue damage from the contact shot. The wound would be massive, it will tear the flesh very badly especially with a snub nose. In my firearms safety class in high school the teacher showed us a picture of his friends hand after he accidently shot his handgun while pushing the slide back by grabbing the front of it with his fingers. The bullet didnt even hit his hand at all but it was torn up bad from the blast. It was basically this except it was all down his palm and it was all caused by the muzzle blast, i think this guy actually just shot his hand.

Have any anons here ever used or own a slide fire stock?

How well do they mimic full auto fire?

Are they safe and/or easy to use?

In general, what are your thoughts on them?

They seem pretty cool to me and at just $100 (price of the one pictured), regardless of what your opinion on full auto is, it doesn't seem to be a huge waste of money for what it allows your gun to do.

>How well do they mimic full auto fire?
Relatively.

>Are they safe and/or easy to use?
Yes and yes.

>In general, what are your thoughts on them?
They can be fun toys.

Some fatass autist will come wandering into this thread and yell about how you should just practice getting better at shooting instead, as if anyone would buy this for any practical purpose and as if it wasn't basically a toy.

you find yourself running from the north korean invasion, and seek shelter in a closed home depot, you barricade the doors. they haven't found you yet, but they will in at least a day. you have no gun, no real combat weapons, just a swiss army knife (they have better ones in the store anyway). what will you do? build explosives, armor, guns, melee weapons, hide? lemme know your ideas

Is there any practical reason to have anything but an AR-15, Shotgun and Compact pistol in ones collection?

I dont hunt, I dont shoot skeet, I dont really collect anymore, I only compete and want guns for self defense in my home.

For you or for someone else?

If ya really just want those three, sure go for it. You still hit the range though, right?
>>
>>34770599
>You still hit the range though, right?
Thats another point, I only have to ever haul 3 guns to the range, and only ever buy accessories and ammo for 3 guns too.
>>
>>34770570
Is your AR is a suppressed SBR, is your shotgun is a benelli semi auto, does the pistol have a match trigger kit and RMR?

There's always room for improvement.

With the success of John Wick 2 and the popularity of the gun play, can we expect a Keanu Cowboy Bebop film with Jewish guns soon?

A very loose adaptation of Cowboy Bebop would be great. Space bounty hunters and organized crime with current day guns. Kind of like "John Wick 3: John Wick in Spaaaaaaaaaace"

So I just bought a Walther PP in .32 ACP for $300. Did I goof or is it a practical first time carry piece.

I have always loved the looks of Walther PP-K-KS series but am sorta feeling like I might have goofed.

>>34770230
A gun is a gun, but the PP and it's family isn't exactly fantastic by modern standards, stiff DA trigger, snappy recoil (despite being all metal).

.32ACP is certainly on the modest end, but there's some alright defensive ammo from Underwood (cavitators I think they were called), so if you wanted to carry it, that would be the most logical option.

You could have done a lot better, but on the other hand, you only paid $300 for it, so that's not so bad.

i'm just now getting into weapons and want to conceal both a knife and a gun for self defense and possibly a visit to the range or two a month

i've already decided on getting a serrated gerber obsidian but i need more intel on the gun choice

here are some of the things i know that i want
>revolver
>silver
>nose that's long enough for fair accuracy but not so long that it's cumbersome to pull out of one of those in pants holsters
>wooden handle
>affordable but not so cheap that it decimates my hand when i'm getting mugged

i just need to know what brands to look at, what prices to expect, what type of bullets are most optimal and other things that a noob like me should know pertaining to revolvers

Okay, is this not the most beautiful blade you've ever seen? It's Z60 which is a high-carbon stainless. The blade is fixed in a beautiful walnut wood hilt, not to mention the knife is handmade. This one of a kind surreal 36.5 centimetre survival knife designed for Russian Eastern paratrooper forces is considered a cold weapon and the strongest, most reliable knife used by the Russian Federation. It's this knife that makes me wonder how it would feel; cold steel, hard pressed, slicing the Ukrainian soldier's throat as he slips out of sight and consciousness. Time slows as I watch his every last breath, feeling his eyes gaze upon me as the sky grows dimmer and the looming shadow of the powerful Russian ensnares another lost soul waiting to be consumed... Because comrade, the heart of the Soviet lies within unity and faith of the motherland.

If you're not gay like the other anon, YouTube can be your friend. If your gun doesn't come with a manual, that's a good place to start. But it doesn't hurt to ask questions at the range. most people will help you, but bear in mind that they paid for their time there, so they won't want to use ALL of it on you

Hey /k/omraden, I've got a question about 1911 accessories: Is there a particular barrel bushing wrench I need to remove a match bushing on a gun with a BoMar bullseye extended rib? Standard ones do not fit and I'd rather not take off the sight rib. Pistol needs its barrel inspected, all new springs, new grips, and rust scrubbed off.
14 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>34769169
You should be able to take the barrel bushing off by hand without a wrench and without removing the extended sight.
>>
>>34769352
It's a match bushing (Micro) or it's frozen up with rust because it isn't budging.
>>
>>34769169

Seeing as this bitch lost, my collection is feeling pretty lopsided.

I have plenty of AR-15's, AKs, G3s, and SKSs and numerous handguns, but I have no fudd weapons.

What are the essentials to round out my collection?

If you want to go the milsurp route a 1903 or 1917 would fit well.
Winchester 92 in 30-30 is probably the pinnacle of fudd besides something in 30-06.
