So I was at the range today, and here's what I noticed firing my 10/22.
Top is where the aim was for the entirety of the trigger squeeze, and the bottom two are where where it jumped during the crack of the shot. This was off a sandbag with the stock pulled tight into my shoulder.
What am I doing wrong? The jump matched the impact point.
I should clarify the black is the target on the paper and the red cross is my scope's crosshair.

What distance? What ammo?
Youre jerking the trigger
Focus on pulling it straight back

NIPPLE SPOTTED
ENJOY THE BAN

50 yards, Remington thunderbolt.

It's a boy so it's ok
>>34761703
Jokes on you, it's a trap.
>>34761631
Looks like trigger pull. every time I hit high left it's because I screwed the trigger pull up.
>>34761631
you are flinching or jerking the trigger
for jerking; drifire with a shell on the front poste
for flinching; train with a buddy
he loads or unloads the gun so you dont know if it is loadet
repear every time you go shooting for 5min

Okay thank you gentlesirs I appreciate it.

Source please

Try better quality ammo. I suggest CCI, fiochi, or at least federal rounds, remington ammo is shit tier.
>>34761755
Definitely not flinching. I've done the mystery-bullet-with-a-buddy exercise a ton and never flinched a hair.
Not to be confused with the hide-the-salami exercise.
I'ma work on my trigger pull.
>>34761771
Yeah I'm discovering that. Thank you for the recommendations.
>>34761713
it's the ammo. and it's a 1022.
this is with a mk2 savage at 50m, 5 shot groups using rws 4star.
>>34761785
Your welcome. Just try a better brand of ammo, and as other anons suggested practice your trigger pull.
>>34761798
That's beautiful.

Can confirm, 10/22s are just not that accurate out of the box. I've shot my brothers stock 10/22 and my stock model 60, the Ruger was very picky with ammo and just wasn't a tack driver like my 60. But I did like rugers sights better though.
>>34761823
thanks, I try. you can tell I fucked up one group by having my face move off the stock... tisk tisk on my part. I love shooting for groups.
>>34761875
it's the aluminum receiver and the non threaded barrel. too easy to Change the barrel for a reason, don't dump a bunch of money trying to accurize one. that being said some set ups can be amazing. not for group shooting, defintinyl for hunting. I'd love to get the suppressed take down model for squirrel.

prove it

>thunderbolt
I literally wouldn't accept that if someone gave it to me. Shot it out of my pistol, half were loaded pretty hot, the other half were much lighter, and I kept getting fucking spritzed with unburnt powder.

Yeah but it's $20 for 500

>people blaming remshit ammo for the OP's point of aim moving during the shot
It's the ammo OP. It doesn't matter how shitty the ammo is for a .22, it's not going to shift your point of aim.
Either you're flinching- which lol flinching with a .22- or you're probably jerking the trigger. It's probably the trigger pull, you should dry fire more.
