I've been working out for some time now,and have nice results. My chest is more defined and my abs are visible... But I'm not satisfied. I want a leaner look - what should I change ? Diet, exercise ? I'm a total newbie, so any advice welcome.

Intermittent fasting
fasted cardio
yohimbine HCL

Make sure you take the advised amount and work up to the max dose. some people have shit sides with it, so you want to start with a single cap and step up 1 cap 2 days later until you're up to full dosage. if you hit a point where you start having shitty side effects, drop down a capsule.

Make sure you get the right shit. If you get the wrong shit, you'll have shitty side effects right off without any of the benefits of YHCL.

>tfw grown out of 4chan but have nowhere else

I hate how the pseuds are so in my head I'm going to finish reading books and that I find boring (manufacturing consent and guns germs and steel and snow crash). I don't even have the balls to live life how I want. I feel the need to go through SICP even though I'm about halfway through and it has stopped feeling as useful. If I lived according to my tastes I would immediately postpone SICP and stop reading those books or other boring books. I simply don't have the balls to live according to my intuitions.

I have no short, easily rememberd, always correct life philosophy that will tell me what to do and I hate myself for it even though I know it could never be created.

People who espouse philosophical beliefs or lifestyle beliefs are all hypocritical snake oil salesmen astrologers. Even the ones who aren't selling you something are like nails on a chalk board when you don't want to be spooked.

I over analyse my life to a stupid degree. Real example: Should I read books on my phone on the train for 20 minute journeys to read more books? Will this type of efficiency simply degrade my life in to an information consumerbot? Is it a sign that I am hard working? What if it's not worth it because I would pick worse books than I'd read at home? Is it worth reading books 3 to 6 pages at a time? What if giving the mind nothing to do is the healthy and smarter option? What if it's not and I bore myself for no reason?

Let's say you are a farmer.
You own many things, among them a pigsty with one pig in it.

One day, your pigsty burns down to the ground with your pig in it.

As you are cleaning up the mess you find the carcass of the pig and it smells delicious.

You slice some off and taste it, WOW, you just discovered bacon.

After a couple of months, you feel a craving for that sweet sweet bacon, so you decide to burn down your new pigsty with your new pig in it.

You get bacon again, and again and again, all the while the thought of building an oven never came to you.

So what should you do?
Build an oven.

I work full time in the law enforcement sector (policing + military) and have always wanted to own my own business. Something that ties in with my line of work is physical fitness.

Is the fitness industry too over saturated to make a couple extra hundred a month?

Whether you open up a gym, start your own clothing line, personal trainer etc.

find a niche.
the only thing that is oversaturated beyond relief is fitness youtube
>>
>>42590434
Any basic niche suggestions to get the gears thinking?

Isn't fitness on social media (outside of YT) is generally over saturated as well?

When I try to squat with my heels to the floor and ass to grass without any weights, I fall straight to the floor, or I endure a couple of seconds of extreme effort.

Why? I have been trying for months now and I know my form is perfect. My friends love to squat and it is extremely embaressing for me.

Skeletons don't have the required muscles in the legs to squat properly

If you're dumb enough to actually squat ATG then let me come over and smash your knees with a hammer since it'd be the same thing.

I'm 240lbs on a 5'8 slav, I can perfectly squat my weight around, is it my genes doing it? Maybe, but you need to grow used to it, I guess, don't give up man, you can make it.

what do you guys think of stronglifts? my friend and i are trying it and i love it. how much can you shoulder press compared to your bench? what muscle does the deadlift work most for you? what can i tell my friend so she stops bending her wrists so damn much?

>what do you guys think of stronglifts?
I think its a sub-optimal beginner routine with too little volume. If I ran it, I'd add chins and dips to each day, and a bicep or tricep iso.
>how much can you shoulder press compared to your bench?
my bench 5rm is 230, OHP 5rm is 135. ymmv
>what muscle does the deadlift work most for you?
spinal erectors
>what can i tell my friend so she stops bending her wrists so damn much?
stop bending your wrists so damn much.
>>
her wrists need to get stronger though? and my legs are feeling like fuggin t rex legs since starting sl. so ohp is usually half of a persons bench? thats what i figured.
>>
>>42590078
>what do you guys think of stronglifts?
Better off doing something with more volume like ICF 5x5. Blaha may have a shit body but the program is solid.
>how much can you shoulder press compared to your bench?
About 65-70% for me.
>what can i tell my friend so she stops bending her wrists so damn much?
You're much more stable and can project more power holding your wrists straight than bent back.

>>42590126
>her wrists need to get stronger though?
All they'll succeed in doing is tearing their tendons/ligaments.

I got an i jury on my foot and I can't do half of my routine now, what do? I am thinking to do the routine but do it lightly just so that I keep up the habit. What have you anons done when youve been injured?

Do like leg extensions, ab wheel, and back hyperextensions.
>>
>>42590009
you have to do the only thing you can do: get small: sit out and just wither away like you're being blasted by chemo. pretty soon people will start asking you if you re sick, or what's wrong because you look "different". just shave your head and make the look complete so people will have pity on you other than asking you why you look so small nowadays.
>>
>>42590009
i messed up my shoulder benching a couple weeks ago and am seeing a physio tomorrow. its been tough since shoulders and chest are my 2 favourite workouts but ive just been keeping occupied with lifts that dont hurt my shoulder.
> I am thinking to do the routine but do it lightly just so that I keep up the habit
dont do this, think long term and focus on recovering from the injury even if you do regress in strength/size. lifting can be a hobby for years but if you cause permanent damage youre fucked. even though a foot injury can really fuck you too bad regardless if its permanent.

I want learn the splits, any good exercises? I will post the result after a month, I think I won't need more time

Tried bringing your hips lower and moving your feet back an inch or so?
>>
>>42589610
if i bring my hips any lower than i already do then they shoot up first and i'd pretty much squat the weight up
>>
>>42589610
Don't listen to this guy, your hips must be already up. If you lower your hips you'll simply ruin the form or the deadlift.
The people you see dling with low hips are putting them in the highest and most efficient position allowed by their morphology. You can't
>>42589592
You have shit morphology for deadlifting. Switch to sumo
T. Long legged, t rex armed and nanotorsoed guy who almost went to snapcity dling only 2 x bw for reps
Switch to sumo, thank me later
Conventional deadlifts are cooler but leave them to people with a more adeguate morphology
at least you'll have a better bench and ohp than them, and even a better pull/up chin up

Someone tell me what's wrong with my calves. They're 13 inches and my thighs are 22. I've been training consistently for 2 years and after training them 3, 4, 5, and even 7 days a week I developed plantar fasciitis and they still haven't grown. Fuck should I do?

Routine? How much weight are you using?
>>

your legs are pretty small, even your quads.

Don't train legs so often. Lift heavy 5x5.

Train legs max twice a week, and up your calories.

Salutations, I have some questions about getting fit and looking buff. I started to diet and cardio about 2-3 weeks ago. And I must say that I've felt amazing, no acne either! . ( thanks sticky) OKAY, now is there a way to lose weight while building muscle? Or is it either u gain or lose? Now they sticky says have 1 g of protein/1Ib of body weight. 280 GRAMS A DAY!?!?!? PLZ someone red pill me..[:: plus, can someone shop me to look buff? ::]
19 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>42589350
I'm guessing this is bait, but if you're 280 you've got over 100lbs to lose. I wouldn't worry about trying to gain muscle until you are a decent weight. A lot of people here will recommend differently, but that drastic weight loss is hard, it's easier to not worry about macros and just focus on calorie counting. I also think people overestimate the amount of muscle you may have, I bet your legs do ok, but not much to save elsewhere. Cut until you can't stand it any more.
>>
>>42589397
i agree with this, just keep cutting till you are a reasonable weight. If you are really concerned about losing muscle keep your protein intake high and obviously lift, it's very unlikely you'll be able to gain much muscle whilst losing this much weight tho
>>
>>42589397
I don't want to end up TheVirginGymGoer.jpg id like to have more of a Chad body. ( reiteration:: I am 6'3) can I work on building muscle while I lose weight so I don't end up looking roastie?
