How do I count calories when I eat at restaurants or when I eat food from the grocery store where it doesn't say the calories such as sandwiches, salads etc.

Here's a weird medical thing that I need info on.

So I'm fat trying to at least become an acceptable human being. I used to eat like a whole pizza for lunch, with no regard for my health. For the past three months I've been counting calories trying to lose a pound a week. I weighed 311 at the start, and now after sticking to my calorie limit (mostly) for three months I weigh 320.

Even if I slack, how does eating like half of what I ate before still stack on pounds? If I'm gaining weight like this with much better control and habits, how did I not fucking die before?

so i will be working soon. 9-5 and i wanted to know what would be a full body workout. Ive kind of reached my goal and wont have too much time to spend at the gym.

Was thinking of working out atleast 3 days a week and maintaining eating clean.
Any tips? Advice?

Is it true that really the only way to lose weight is diet?
I'm 6ft 3in and weight 260, my legs are not fat, my arms are not fat, but I have a semi tire around my waste. My gut always feels bloated and huge, when I suck in I look like a loaf of bread, I'm so tired of it.

How many cals a day can I live off of? This all started when I went to nursing school and now work night shift so it kinda screwed me up and I'm in school full time as well so my time is very limited.

It doesn't seem like a eat a lot, but I think my portions are out of control, I'm 32 but I still think I'm 17 and eat like it.

I wanna be hot again. My facial aesthetics are on point but my fat gut....

Here's the simple version.

Calculate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure. Google can find a calculator.

Next, track exactly how many calories you consume each day. Condiments and drinks also count so don't leave them out.

Keep the calories you consume lower than you expend and you will lose weight. 500 daily deficit equals about 1 pound lost per week.

Do exercise and eat protein to keep muscle mass instead of losing it.

Cut carbs to under 50g (if you are really disciplined go under 20g), eat protein and fat, be in caloric deficit, you'll get lean in a month.

use cronometer for calculating what you eat.

Okay so I decided that I want to enlist in the military in when I'm done with school (7 months). My strength is currently okay, but stamina is near zero. I have read the sticky. Does any of you armyfags have a recommendation for cardio? My plan is to do 3/4 days a week gym and 3/2 days a week cardio. Thanks

Cardio is king when joining the army. Do a few pushups and be able to lift your bodyweight but make sure you can run long distances without getting tired.

Yeah man run, alot. Do HIIT, long slow distance and then go and actually practice for the 2.4km/1.5 miler until you can get it down to a good time, sub 9mins and youll be a living god in training.

Just be warned if you are going combat you will lose your gains. You cant maintain muscle mass and the fitness required and be a grunt. You need to be lean and agile, able to carry heavy weights for long distances and ru/sprint over rough terrain in body armour. Having all that heavy muscles on you will slow you the fuck down.

How can I deal with the fact I actually see better results in recovery, strength and body-composition when I eat 200g protein per day?


I tried to convince myself for the longest time that getting 120-140g is more than enough, but as of late I've been hitting over 200g a day and I've seen a very noticeable improvement. I am 100% sure the increased protein in-take is what's making me better in the gym right now because I've been lifting for 6 YEARS and have stalled quite a bit in the last 2 years or so, and the only change I've made has been increasing my protein to 200g+ a day, up from 120-140g.

Getting this extra 60-80g+ protein everyday does increase the price of my food budget and it can be a pain in the ass to have to consume this extra protein in place of carbs/fats, but I can't deny it's giving me a very noticeable difference.

Hey /fit/

Didn't know where else to post this but lately I've had this rash in my underarm and noticed some red streaks in my inner thigh.

I'm not sure what it could be but I've also experienced bouts of derealization and disassociation, as well as lethargy recently and am starting to wonder if it's connected with these weird rashes? Google is of no help so hopefully there are some medfags lurking that could help me. I've also quit a year long habit of kratom around the same time these symptoms began to occur so perhaps it is linked to some kind of withdrawal? Plz help I don't want to die of hiv or something.
