Never done Gym before, starting next week.

I was very obese and then I stoped being obese and became pic related for the last 3/4 years. But I want to look good now.

I have no fucking clue what to do so I think I'll pay a Personal Trainer for guidance in my first sessions.

I need to cut, right?

If you are doing 5x5 and you know you are not going to be able to do 5 on the next set, should you just do the set anyway and get 3-4 reps, or should you pretend you were going to do a low volume day and stop?

13-14 then eat up. You have to be 18 to post on The Chan though so you're already fully grown (you might get another inch or two in your next few years but don't hold your breath)

Ive been bulking the past 8 weeks on tren e, test e, and eq.

Have 8 more weeks in my cycle and I'm ready to cut because I have a date in a couple weeks and I bought a bunch of pants 1 size smaller than I currently am.

Currently 238lb 6'0 40" waist. Want to be at a 38" waist in 2 weeks. Is thia doable?

I was planning on just having a fruit/yogurt smoothie for breakfast, then steamed chicken and brocolli for lunch and dinner. Estimating a 1000cal deficit with this.

Hi /fit/

I'm going to get into gyming again - however, I have this problem with my shoulders. They're really tense, and they make a clicking or popping noise when I roll them. It's quite loud, people can seem to hear it 1-2m away from me if the room is quiet. I'm not sure what's making the sound.I do stretches to try and loosen it, and after a large stretch session I'll start getting these heart palpitations - I'm not quite sure they're related, but they have coincided numerous times now.

I've had this issue for over a few years but don't want to start doing some serious exercise and find that it causes a big problem. Swimming usually helps loosen them a bit, and they don't make the sound as much. But after a few days, it returns. Has anyone heard of something like this before? It's not painful, should I consult a doctor before doing anything serious at the gym? I've asked my Dad whether I should ask a doctor - but he said, no pain - no problem. He gave me a bit of shit for wanting to see a doctor proactively as it's not actually causing me any pain. What do you guys think?

Also, if you recommend seeing a doctor - is there a certain type of specialist I should see about this? I'm not sure a standard doctor would actually know what's going on but I'd like to know what you guys think and if you've heard of something similar to this.

Anyone here completely drug free? (alcohol and narcotics, not juice)


I'm 23 and think I may be developing a drinking problem. My whole family is full of alcoholics so I'd like to stay away from it, at the same time, it's hard to imagine a life without getting stoned or sipping some whiskey.

Anyone go completely straight edge? did it work out?

In a clean living house right now. Have been clean for almost 2 years.
I still get cravings for alcohol sometimes but getting to where I need to be doesn't involve it.
My advice to you is to look at whether or not a life of alcoholism would affect your goals.
It's going to be extremely difficult with a genetic pre disposition but the feeling of being clean is a high in itself.

During my 20s, I enjoyed beer too much. Not a frequency problem but more a quantity. And this I ballooned.

I started working and ended up drinking perhaps one night per week. I started smoking more weed.

Then I moved to a country where alcohol is illegal and drugs gets you executed in public, so I started cigarettes. Bad idea.

Now I'm 34. I don't smoke anymore. Weed is a very occasional, once a quarter thing as I generally don't enjoy it anymore. It got boring. Drinking is also rather limited... Perhaps a glass of wine in a Sunday dining with my parents. Rarely any other time. I can't stand getting liquored up.

I also managed to lose the belly and now I'm working on adding muscle. Yes I regret many things in my teens and twenties. But I'm not going that way, so I'm only looking forward.

Sometimes I feel others think I'm boring. Perhaps. I just don't get enjoyment out of those things. My vice: Grindr

I just went for the first time yesterday, and it was a lot of fun. I have a rock climbing gym close to my house and it's a good workout for the entire body while not being repetitive or mundane like a regular gym, so I'm considering signing up for a membership there.

You will look like a dick on holidays, as your mates will wanna do something like swim on the beach or get some food, and you will be "nah I'm gonna climb this rock face".

in my experience it mostly happens to new people and goes away eventually. I don't know what causes it, but I guess your nervous system and/or muscles simply don't work optimally when you first start lifting and it takes some time to adapt.

Hey /fit/ just started a good paying delivery job so I'm stuck driving on average a good 8hours to just myself.
