Any ex-runners here? I've been running five days a week for six years or so and it's a blast but most people do not find the runner's body attractive so I've decided to start lifting and see where that takes me. I've read through the wiki and I'm gonna start with
http://newbie-fitness.blogspot.com/2006/12/rippetoes-starting-strength.html
Anyway, does anyone here like running? Should I continue to run on the days I don't lift? Any other starting advice?
are you baiting or just retarded

Intermediate to advanced trainees cannot improve more than two traits at a time (ie strength, size, conditioning, endurance). If you are cycling which traits you're emphasizing throughout different teainibg periods then it's fine. But if you're engaging in any significant overlap then you're gonna get suboptimal gains; in this case it would be best to keep other traits at maintenance instead of trying to make gains.

Not bait

thanks mate
What do you guys think? Broscience is science by swole ass bodybuilders and powerlifter and regular science is science by the weird kid who wore sketchers in high school. Broscience is basically the collective knowledge of jacked dudes and regular science is studied by one dude who doesn't know what the fuck a deadlift is and throws out his research every week cause he discovered something that contradicts his other shit. Who you gonna trust? Dom mazzetti or professor frink?
>>42734826
The weird kid is still alive. Four scoops is dead. Really makes you think.

I can't trust a man with no calves
Can you do something about excesive sweating?
I sweat a LOT (in running or lifting) and i feel enbarrased af. Even when i was less fat or taking a shower after sport i sweat a river.
What do? Even using a good towel on the machines i left it wet.
I wear a headband. Or a hat. It keeps my sweat from falling everywhere.

This is life. You've increased your metabolism by not only increasing the ammount of mitochondrias present in your body, but by also being more sensitive to thyroid hormones (thus being also more sensitive to hormones like adrenaline and norepinefrine) plus having literally more steroids of all types flowing through your body.
You shouldn't feel ashamed, that's sweat because you're working your ass oof. You heart benefits from it, your lungs benefit from it, your brain benefits from it. Fuck the naysayers.
Just avoid smelling bad and you'll be fine.
loose weight
I've been a fan of the girl on the right for a long time and something i've always admired were her legs.
Now than i was younger a was fairly slim, but even than my body looked similar to the one on the left (my calves were almost the same size as my thighs), because i dieted while running and doing other leg exercises.
Since i plan to lose weight again, this time i want to do it right and get simply skinny legs without too much visible muscle.
Does anybody know how to achive that look? All that muscle makes my legs look even bigger, i just want them to be thin and feminine...
Post a pic of current body

i assume youre from the west so you need to eat less
>>42734748
Reroll genetics manually by killing yourself. Also I assume you're just fat because there's nothing noteworthy about her legs

Just like most of you, my only hobby is lifting heavy stuff and licking virtual pussy.
So I'm looking something else to pick up. My day feels like a waste of time and I want to start using it for something good.
What is /fit/ hobby apart from looking at male bodies?
>>42737826
Bar trivia and guitar.
Made like $700 at trivia last year
Lifting i guess.
I also ride my bicycle from time to time and i used to run bun a lot but i kinda stopped.
Guitar, painting, skateboarding.
Idk if i have pecs or man boobs. Help.
>>42734648
right side looks like pecs
left side looks like manboobs
if you can tighten it and not get too much flabber, it's probably pecs
>>42734712
I'm pretty sure that the right side is when his nipples get hard. Left side is normal when they're relaxed . I have this too and I've felt it before it doesn't feel like legitimate gyno. Can someone help
>>42734721

Self improvement means constantly destroying who you currently are and replacing it with someone better. Which is good because I fucking hate myself.
I am not memeing with you right now I seriously don't think I'd be in the situation I'm currently in if I was someone who was worth loving. So I'm going to become someone worth admiring and loving and I will reap the rewards down the road.
I dont know. I just started.
im dapwessed and everything i try to improve or work on aside from lifting bums me out
How much caffeine is too much? Dont want to ascend just yet. I take 200mg once a day and feel OK but less "pep" than I once did. Should I up the dose?
No. I forbid you from doing so. I almost fucked up my life doing this
You've built a tolerance. Your options are either backing off and letting your body sort itself out or upping it. As to lethality, you'd have to take a ludicrous amount to die.
>>42734560
what did you mean by this
I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.
I actually went to church yesterday to see my old man. I arrived late, but most everyone remembered me at peace giving, people were crossing the aisle to wish me peace. I was raised Catholic, but I grew distant to the religion in my teenage years.
I'm 26 now, and my faith hasn't been restored, but I can't bring myself to dislike being around church folk. The best ones have your best interests at heart.
Some of them even said I looked healthier than I was before.
>>42734682
>at peace giving, people were crossing the aisle to wish me peace
I'm so glad my parish doesn't do that, we do the traditional mass. Glad you could make it tho anon.
>>42734809
Ours is traditional too. I suppose I should say, I grew up going almost every Saturday and everyone who did cross was someone I knew. I haven't been to my hometown parish in almost 7 years, since I live in a city further away.
I guess I was really moved by how the people I know from my childhood and teenage years remembered me.
Granted, it wasn't everyone. I saw new families that didn't come, but I expected that. I was pleasantly surprised that it happened.
