I don't see much mention of chiropractic adjustments on this board for some reason. Anyone else use it for flexibility and such? Foam rollers pretty much count to be honest, with stuff like relaxing your lower back on it for lumbar decompression

I foam roll before every workout, usually 5-6 times a week. And usually crack my neck and back a few times a day.

I'm relatively new to lifting and just got a gym membership today. I have a few questions that I'd like your personal opinions on if you'd be so kind.

>How long before my muscles stop shaking during the workout?
>Note: this only happened on squats and skull crushers but it was slightly embarrassing

>What kind of shit so you throw in your smoothies?

got the worst strep throat today

i touched myself this morning and went to the library for 4 hours, ended up getting fucked up from the dry air and went on a workout afterwards which only made it worse

Hey so i'm 178cm, 85kg, 20-25% bodyfat.

My goals are to lose weight and get to 75kg and look lean.

I am calorie counting and eating around 1500calories a day.

This is my diet everyday:

Breakfast:
100grams diced beef
120gram chicken breast
Cheeder cheese slice
Coffee
1 multivitamin tablet
1 Fish oil capsule

Lunch:
100grams diced beef
120gram chicken breast
100gram greek yogurt

Dinner:
100grams diced beef
120gram chicken breast
100grams heated frozen vegetables
1 fish oil capsule

Excercise:
Stronglifts 5X5
30 min Uphill treadmill walk

Can you guys give me if i am doing this right? Any advice is appreciated.

So I made a lot of research about the fastest (but still safe) way to lose weight. Hear me out.

Keto:you already know about it.

Alternate day fasting makes you fast at least 24 hours between two "normal" days. Some people eats 500kcals, but it's not mandatory and I will go for the 0kcal road. Also, keep in mind you can still do ADF and eat everyday, like:
>Monday lunch, 30 hours fast, Tuesday dinner, Wednesday normal, Thursday lunch, 30 hours fast, Friday dinner (...)

You can also go a little hardcore if you get to this point easily, like :
>Monday lunch, 30 hours fast, Tuesday dinner, Wednesday lunch, 30 hours fast, Thursday dinner, Friday lunch, 30 hours fast, Saturday dinner (...)

Or even harder
>Monday lunch, 30 hours fast, tuesday dinner, 30hours fast, Thursday lunch, 30 hours fast, Friday dinner, 30 hours fast (...)

You can also tune the hours of fasting to your feelings and needs. Hell, you can fast to 2 or 3 days if it's your thing. It's not mine, tho.

All this, you eat keto so your body is shifted to use fat from food when not fasting and from yourself when fasting.

Exercise would be incline cardio and weights.

What do you think, does it sounds good/optimal? Please don't suggest me the usual 500 kcal deficit, I have just 25 lbs to lose but even so it takes forever. I want to do something radical and be over with it.

It's thermodynamics, actually. Keto is only worthwhile as a diet in theory to get to single digit bodyfat while preserving lean mass because the body decreases its rate of gluconeogenesis (which utilizes muscle protein) while in a ketogenic state. However, to my knowledge there haven't been any large studies showing this preservation to be true in practice, which I would attribute to a similar body state in ketosis to metabolic acidosis in which the body's pH is elevated from increased ketone body concentration in the blood, which in metabolic acidosis and similar conditions leads to muscle wasting.

All in all keto is probably a meme and may harm your kidneys if you stay on it too long.

For pecs you could do the same for convenience but barbell bench/ohp seem to be best for aesthetics.

How do YOU feel about CABRS?

Personally I tried keto for 3 days a while back, and while it wasn't the end of the world, I got tired of eating a fuck ton of boiled eggs.

Also, since I do cardio everyday, I get to eat tons of great fruits like raisins, cherries, watermelon, bananas, whatever, and greek yogurt. shit is delicious. its way better looking chiseled and tan than a bloated, ketogenic powerlifting mess.

Week 3 of Couch to 5k. Totally killing it. Usually run for longer than the prescribed time like during the cooldown period, for example. Averaging ~2-2.5 miles per run.

However, I'm experiencing some knee pain when I start my run and then it eventually fades. Is my form shit? Should I get new shoes?

Anyone else do c25k? How'd it go?

did c26k to participate in some friendly event between businesses.
No program, just started running and not even as much as they suggest.
If you have any sort of previous fitness, c25k is extremely tame. If you're a fatass tho, it's probably tough. And no kidding, running will mess up your joints if you're fat.
Staying fat will fuck up your everything else though, so there you go.

Make sure you take appropriate recovery time.
