I'm genuinely worried about my family, /fit/. It wasn't until I went off to college for this first year, got more serious about exercising and eating right, then came back home for this summer that I realized just how unhealthy my family is. My dad has recently put on a lot of weight and is probably pushing 300 pounds now. My little brother drinks soda and eats junk food like you wouldn't believe, and my older brother who just graduated college drinks like crazy and eats like shit, so he's put on a ton of weight too. My mom is on Weight Watchers, which seems like a good choice, but it's stupid because it says shit like "fruit doesn't count against your calories," and "saturated fat is bad for you." She also drinks nearly every evening and doesn't see it as a bad thing because of the whole "wine is healthy" bullshit.
I'm genuinely concerned for them. I've been home for a couple of days, and a typical dinner for them is pasta stuffed with cheese and that type of thing. I wish there was something I could say or do to stop my dad from eating bowls of ice cream every night, or to stop my mom from starving herself so she can drink every night, but I can't make them care about their own lives.

I've been getting migraines ever since I was young, and to this day lifting heavy makes my head hurt. It seems that there are many paths to strength training, some faster than others, SS for example seeming pretty fast to me.

How should I go about strength training at a slow pace so I build muscle and work towards 1234 without exerting myself too much and enraging my blood vessels or whatever it is that causes my headaches?

I'm just trying to lose weight by hiking, drinking water, and eating two meals a day

I'm just saying one sandwich a day and breakfast is that pretty decent?

What would u recommend I put in my sandwiches? Turkey, ham, salami etc.

"Healthy" depends on what you are putting on the sandwich. If you are just going for weight loss, then that is easy to do by putting a lot of vegetables on to make it more filling.
Some things you can do to make it better is to use 100% whole wheat bread, lots of dark leafy greens like spinach or kale, minimal amounts of sauce (none if you can help it but that can be dry as fuck), and unprocessed meats. Sandwich meats tend to be high in salt due to the processing and need for longevity, so it is best that you use chicken, turkey, or any other type of unsalted meat you cut yourself unless you are keeping them refrigerated for long periods of time. You can also put avocado on them if you don't want to be a millionaire.

Op, do yourself a favor and don't put kale on your damn sandwich. You want sauce? Just measure it. Absolutely right about veggies. Onions and tomato add a lot to your sandwich. Cucumbers too.

If you are sweating a lot you need salt anyways.

Yes. Keto is an odd diet where it forces your body to waste some of the caloric intake of the food you eat just to be able to break it down into all the ways it needs to be used while also leaving you with such an abundance of protein in your system (assuming you aren't eating straight fat) that your muscles still have enough building material to grow. If you are still eating around or over your caloric intake then your weight loss wont be as pronounce if you are doing weight lifting since your muscle growth will replace some or all of the weight lost in fat.
