I've been doing acclimatization training because being a shutin before had left me unable to deal with heat, as I discovered when I started going out more during summer.
I've gotten to the point where heat hardly bothers me anymore, but I still get sweat stains like I pissed myself, and so did my armpits and back. Is there even any way to reduce sweating?

Does anyone instantly default to being the ugly loser beta outcast that nobody talks to in every single job they have? I was like this in all my university classes as well, including 3 years with a small class of people doing the same degree as me.

What was the most difficult habit change for /fit/ when you started lifting?

I kid you not, for me it was eating breakfast everyday.

Holy shit, for the first 3-4 weeks it was hell. My stomach didnt want anything before 11:00 o'clock.

For me it was just stopping eating sugary shit.
If I let myself slip I can easily plow down a bag of 5 large soft cookies in one sitting, and do it again later the same day. On top of eating junk food meals. I was on a fast track to type II

How long will it take me to start pulling the same weight that i used to before i stopped lifting?

Basically for the past two years I've just sat around not exercising like a fatass. I stayed in decent shape in highschool by playing football and lifting regularly, but since I entered college I've only gotten fatter and weaker.

When I was in highschool I was 6"2, 225 lbs, and my one rep maxes were:
Bench 250
Squat 430
Deadlift 455

Now I weigh 240 and i feel weaker than i ever have before.

If I start lifting at the same intensity as I did in highschool how long do you think it would take for me to start seeing similar results to what I used to do?

This might not be the answer you want, but the good news is "it's faster to regain natural gains you already had than breaking new ground."

So the answer is faster than it took you to reach those gains in the first place.

I have similar concerns as well:

I've been both working and studying full time for closer to a year now, ran into some financial problems as well, so needless to say my body is devastated and also my mind to some extent. I basically stopped eating and developed mild alcoholism, also smoking a pack or two a day. Lots of trouble sleeping. To combat that stress, I chase highs and resort to overt, compulsive behavior

I'm slowly starting to get a chance to get back to the gym, and later this year I will focus on my studies only so I'll have much more time for gym and I don't want to fuck this up

How do I get back to good habits, especially eating? These days I have zero motivation to eat, except some processed shit in a hurry - I can go days without eating. This really concerns me, and to be honest, I've never been a great eater.

How should I get back to the gym routine? Just the thought of how much strength I've lost terrifies me and causes anxiety on its own.

Any advice appreciated
