I'm growing my hair out for the first time I haven't cut it in 14 months
This is what happens
>run fingers/pick through hair
>at the end look at hand
>1 or 2 hairs hairs on it with bulb attached
>throw them on the floor
>run hand through hair again
>1 or 2 more hairs
>throw on floor
>keep going
>think the loose hairs will stop
>they never do
umm....
is this supposed to happen?
it's not like they are coming out in big clumps but i consistently lose 1 or 2 every single pass.
how can i even have hair if i keep losing them every time? am i going bald or is this normal? if it's normal how does anyone have hair??

Everytime I look online for cheap meals, every recipe promises it'll be affordable and feed 4. Except they all expect me to have like 40 fucking things already that drive up the price drastically.
Plus, I literally only have a bar fridge and can't afford another one, so I have no room to store food or freeze things really.

Hey /adv/,
So, kinda freaking out;
My friend just resently got arrested earlier this morning. He's charged with armed robbery and the gun he used is in a backpack in his house along with an ounce or two of weed, which will soon be found by police.
I hung out with the dude last night and he dropped the gun with an empty clip on my lap so I picked it up and checked it out.
after he got arrested I headed back over to his house to try and take the gun and weed and dispose of it to try and get him less time, but ended up being followed by and under cover and pulled over by 3 more , they asked me a bunch of questions about the dude and searched me for guns and weed.
If they check the guns for prints, which I don't even know how likely that is, how fucked am I ? What should I do ?

Can I get my sense of smell back?
Ever since smoking a lot of weed I've lost my sense of smell. I've quit and my lungs and head are back to full capacity but my sense of smell is practically nonexistant. I can only smell something really if it's a really strong oder and I take an audibly loud whiff.
Is there anyway to get my sense of smell back?

I want to preface this by saying that I'm aware this question will draw some frustration from people.
I always end up in relationships. I enjoy being alone but I dislike upsetting others more so if a girl pursues me I almost inevitably end up in a relationship with them. How do I stop this? I'm sure it stems from a similar source as my inability to end relationships that aren't fruitful quickly.
Basically, I want to be alone and self loath without the additional pressure of somebody who cares about me. I don't want to compromise my hobbies where I end up meeting people, but I need advice on avoiding people and being less complacent.

I want to kill myself but I don't want to hurt my already widowed mother by killing her only child. My life has been spiraling down for years and it's to the point where I physically cannot stand it anymore and have been drinking copiously to cope. I don't see any future in which I am happy and I don't have anything that I want to live for.
I've 'gotten my things in order' several times and done test-cuts, so I know I can go through with it, but every time I'm stopped because it would ruin my mother's life even more. I feel like I'm trapped here keeping up appearances until further notice and I don't know what to do anymore. Please help.

I don't care about my GPA aside from making my mother happy. I don't have any desire to pursue any career in my field or work. That high sex drive likely comes from a void in your life, be it a hobby you can be truly passionate towards, a fulfilling social life, or perhaps some peace in quiet.
I've been that guy who's jacked off 3 times a day before, but I notice when I find a hobby I really enjoy and I'm having a satisfying daily life, sometimes its 2-3 weeks between.
I've tried meditation, but I can't tell if it has helped me, I just know it has helped others.

Channel that frustration into something. Doesn't have to be productive, but helps if it is.
Used to be community service for me, now it's lifting, bodybuilding and athletics.
Hopefully the energy wasted thinking non-stop about sex will go into whatever hobby interests you.

So up until the age of 10 this thing used to happen whereby the look of a place would switch. It's very hard to describe, but it's sort of like when you're looking at the world upside down, except the change was even greater, to the extent where I could get lost in my own house. Sometimes I could trigger the switch, merely by visualizing the 'other place', often that would also happen by whirling around really quickly.
Anyway this thing has annoyed me all my life because I've never met anyone who experienced this, nor do I know what it's called. Anyone know what I mean?

I just cut contact with my abusive ex. After I cut contact he texted me threatening to kill himself and I've made sure his parents were aware of it as well as his friends. Last time he threatened to kill himself I made him call 911 instead and the dispatcher dealt with it.
He won't stop texting me and begging me to take him back and talking about how much he's changed. He's been on antidepressants for about two months and getting professional help for longer than that, but he clearly hasn't changed the part of his life where he'll threaten suicide in an attempt to force me to stick round or ignore my boundaries.
I do still love him (he didn't used to be abusive, or anything like this really), but I won't take him back or be with him. That's not what this thread is for. I have depression and anxiety and it's killing me to constantly deal with the threats, especially knowing most of them are insincere attempts at forcing me to talk. Now that other people are aware it's no longer my problem, but the constant texts are upsetting and stressful. I don't think I really need advice though. Just someone to talk to.

Yes. He's spamming me with texts that I can't block once every minute or so about how much he's changed, how it'd be a huge mistake on my part to leave him, how he just needs one more chance, and so on. I rely on my phone for very important work texts so I can't just disable texting wholesale either or turn my phone off.

Call your phone company, they can do it.

You could always change your number, or buy a new phone, or get a restraining order.
The point isn't that you need strategies, its that you need to make decision.
