XD is shit. It runs android 4.4 which uses dalvik to run apps in a VM, resulting in a worse performance. It's abandoned.
Just buy a 15$ controller with R3/L3 buttons and an OTG cable. And keep using your phone. For now this is the best android option until an emulation device with Nougat is made.

GPD WIN 2 will be released soon. It's pros are it will have windows as an OS so you get access to desktop titles, but still no L3 R3 apparently.
A cheaper and still as good option is PS Vita with 3.60 firmware.

Not OP, but I once thought about buying some disc sets from older computers (mainly PC-88 and FM-7), but the conversion rate between BRL and Yen is really abusive. A 7000 yen game costs almost as much as half my monthly salary.

There's more to the world than just consoles OP. Many Jap RPGs were ports/homages/ripoffs of DnD, or Ultima. There wasn't much interest in console RPGs in the US since most RPG players were on PC or doing tabletop.

At that time the demographic for consoles was younger in America than in Japan. RPGs appeal to a slightly older demographic. West was playing RPGs on computers instead of consoles.

Take it apart, gently clean with soapy water, dry, apply some form of Retrobrite (following proper application instructions).

Always disassemble and clean with soapy water first.

Make sure it gets plenty of sun exposure once you've applied the Retrobrite/Hydrogen Peroxide. Ideally you'd use a UV lamp or something but you probably don't have one.
