I know it's a joke but for 25 cents and you could potentially play the entire game and see all of its content. Even if you paid more to beat the game, which is more likely, you'd probably still pay less than the cost of buying the home game.

Read the in-game manual
Use the scan ability on every enemy as soon as you get it, you can check enemy stats by going to Status and pressing the shoulder buttons
Don't worry so much about elemental affinity outside of boss fights, weapon type matters more for standard enemies
Be prepared to draw or look up a map for the forest section

cant fuck with grim fandango. it was totally a right-place-right-time kind of game. it would take another couple thousand years of adventure games to nail the writing, tone, humor, and scope that grim fandango succeeds at having.

Everyone was sooo excited for Broken Age but that wasnt even close.

I know it's not popular opinion, but I certainly think so. But I'm looking through a thick pair of nostalgia goggles on this one since I haven't been able to replay it in over 10 years.

I do remember being more invested in BT than BK, but it was that special time in my life where I was satisfied dicking around in 3D platform games f or hours without actually accomplishing anything.

I eventually got everything in the game though, I had to cheat with a turbo controller to get that last canary mary race.

BK was fun too but the worlds were all a lot smaller, didn't feel like there was much to explore there.

It's nice to see the old Rayman sprite in motion but there's absolutely NOTHING there that's even remotely of interest.
Hell, due to the lack of nearly everything it's barely even a prototype and more like a playable concept sketch that'd take like half a day to create.
If this was the version that's on the preview screenshots which featured the evil Electoons and Mr. Skorps then the discovery would've been A LOT more significant.

Adventure Island 1 was always on every multicart for Famiclone cart, it's a very popular game.
The sequels are even better, they made 4 Adventure Island games for NES alone, so I guess it was popular back then.
IMO it's a great platforming series, maybe one of the best, that got a bit forgotten over time.

I liked the nes games. Something felt off about Super AI.

I had tons of Pacman stuff.
I was born in '81 though so that shit was all over the place.

I did have the Street Fighter GIJoes too.
I was pissed it took so long for them to make Sonic and Mario toys. When I was a kid, they only made little PVC figurines for Mario and jack fuck for Sonic.
McD's had the Mario Bros.3 and Sonic3 happy meals and that shit rocked my ass off at the time.
