How good of a deal is this, /vr/??
>Vintage 3 TRS-80, 1 Tandy Color 3, and 1 Commadore Vic 20, Two dot matrix printers, all cables and power, several basic books - $125
Also, retro computer gaming deals general
On the subject of retro computing.. Found Dragon Wars can't remember for which system but I don't know if it was a good deal at $5 and I get some values at different ranges. Its complete in box.
>>3267105
Pretty much depends on the condition and model of those printers. Those are the only things this useful and of value in todays world. Next, depends on how badly you want a few old systems that are pretty much useless without additional bits and really only of interest to collectors.
>>3267105
20? years ago, boxed mint sega Megajet for what would be 20 euros. Useless piece of shit, sold it last year, money in the bank.
ITT shitty NES games you love

Everyone else thought the music was ear-rape... but I thought it was cool and moody
People give it shit, but I've always enjoyed it. It's a quick 15 minutes of fun. Fuck the haters.
What are the best places to buy retro games online? Besides obvious choices like eBay and Amazon.
I may seem stupid for saying this, but it's so hard to find a good deal for a retro game now.
aliexpress
>>3266775
What region/language? US, PAL and/or J?
>>3266775
Import from Japan.
What are some of your favorite retro games that feature a significant number of dinosaurs?
Off the top of my head I know pic related and its sequel, the first part of Secret of Evermore, the Turok games, a little bit in the Tomb Raider games, Primal Rage, and Lost Vikings.
The Snes Jurassic Park is a prime survival horror game
>>3266751
Oh, shit! How did I forget about that?
>those first person parts
FUCK!
Dino Crisis is a good one if you're into RE and redheads.
Which games do you think could work really well with modern tech/graphics/sound?
Pong.
legend of zelda
>>3266716
Thief.
I don't usually come on /vr/ but I just learned that the most recent versions of project 64 are infested with spyware and malware, and I was salty enough to start a thread about it. There goes my dream of ever playing mystical ninja starring goemon again. Fuck.
>>3266230
Just buy a flashcart, fuck emulation. 64 emulators are shit anyway.
>>3266235
Being an inexperienced retard, I don't know how to use one. I've only ever emulated stuff.
>>3266241
It is literally easier to use a flashcart than set up an emulator.
im looking for a good retro game i can play (not the usual like mario or earthbound) but i prefer a good long story
>>3266094
smrpg or earthbound
Kind of a vague request.
Mostly only rpgs have stories
yeah i know but i played all the bigger ones like final fantasy and was thinking that maybe you guys know more of the not so famous ones
>he purposely lets his ship get captured in Galaga
>>3265789
If you don't suck, you'll have ships to spare. Doubling your ship is a good strategy to rack up quick points in early stages when there isn't a lot of incoming fire to dodge.
>He doesn't pull off last second kills while in the tractor beam
>>3265789
Apparently its a fetish or something

That guy is weird
Found this at a flea market today and boy is it a good game. What are some games you were surprised turned out to be great?
Srsly...
Mike, stop posting whatever game is in the newest video.
I love your giant cock, but this is painfully obvious.
>>3265663
I dont know what youre talking about man. Ive didnt even know Cinemassacre made a video on this game. I just picked it up at a flea market and wanted to start a discussion on hidden gems.
>>3265941
stop lying.
what's the closest the psx has to a gran turismo of motorcycles?
Nothing. Get Tourist Trophy for PS2
>>3265595
there were no real track day console sims until Tourist Trophy on PS2. Moto racer series is prob the best bike game on ps1. theres a few gp superbike games but I don't remember any so they must have been bad.
It's not very good though, Moto Racer is a way better series on PS1. Listen to >>3265605, TT is bretty gud

MAME can overclock any system it emulates. This includes the SNES, which nothing else can overclock, and the genesis, which very few systems oc. In the test videos posted, there does not seem to be any errors. But theoretically 200% OC should break these games. Very interesting.
Also even at 200%, Gradius III still has massive slowdown.
>>3265378
I completed ECCO the Dolphin in MESS overclocked. No noticeable problems, all slowdown removed (not that it had a lot of slowdown despite being written in C).
>>3265394
http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Overclocking#SNES
According to this, with snes oc fucked it up.
Why didn't Konami put Gradius III on a more fitting console, like the Mega Drive? It would've probably had less slowdown.
Has /vr/ ever played this game? It's really overlooked, and I haven't heard anybody talk about it.
Not like other "unknown gems" people mention all the time such as Blast Corps, SSSV, Body Harvest, or Mischief Makers
It's the closest thing the N64 has to Half Life, so it's more linear and scripted than Turok 1 or 2 but therefore impossible to get lost. Not too challenging either, and there are some secrets.
I didn't even know there was a Turok 3.
>>3264641
Underrated as fuck, the whole atmosphere of the game is really awesome.
aside from being very unfinished and buggy it's pretty good
What is the story with the Castlevania fishmen? Do they just spend their lives jumping out of the water and shoot balls around? Do they have a civilization or culture? Is there a possibility that they're nice, but some asshole with a whip starts mass killing so diplomacy goes out the window?
>>3264335
they have literally nothing better to do
They probably were fucking up merchants and what not in the Mediterranean before that. You know, evil fishman stuff.
>>3264335
Pretty much everything in Castlevania is just a manifestation of chaos and evil in various forms, with those shapes changing from century to century. They aren't the "real deal", more like a replica that exists to impede the vampire hunters. Genuinely unique entities are quite rare.
What's the overall most visually impressive game on the NES?
I recently played MM5 and 6 for the first time in ages and had forgotten how much better they look than the other MM games. Any stuff out there that tops them?
Little Samson
Kirby's Adventure
SMB3
Batman Return of the Joker
I like Felix The Cat.
There is some good background in the game.
BATMAN
Meets and greets /vr/, I'm looking for some RPGS with elements of Hindu and/or Middle Eastern mythology in them. I don't mind WRPG or JRPG games either. I know right off the bat we can scratch off Final Fantasy and the SaGa games.
Really appreciate it and I'm very curious if some WRPGs have what I'm looking for.
Thanks!
bumping of interest
Megaten has everything.
XZR/Exile
Al-Qadim: The Genie's Curse
