Did he ever scare you??
>>3273912
No, not really. I was like 19 by the time i actually got to play this game on the gamecube.
Yes that mask is fucking ugly.
>>3273912
I never bothered to look up and didn't even notice the moon (I never talked to any NPCs that didn't seem important) until I had to look at it from the telescope.
Scared the shit out of me.
Itt retro related stuff, games, whatever that you saw that you thought looked awesome
Pic related. Saw adverts on TV for the SNES Super Scope all the time but somehow never managed to get my hands on it - ever. Just looking at it from this pic it still looks badass af to me, kek.
jaguar looked cool in a magazine. Never saw one in a shop though.
>>3273619
my dad bought the gun and game package and 3 other games as a deal when they were getting rid of them.
>>3273619
The super scope is an odd choice to me, surely the regular pistol sized lightgun is cheaper to make and infinitely better to use? I've never used one, how are they?
>>3273735
>The super scope is an odd choice to me
I was a seven year old kid, dude. The adverts for it were great, too. It looked so rad. Perfect marketing. I also really liked Duck Hunt on the NES.
Didn't know if this belonged in another thread, but I discovered that reducing the track by 4 semitones was the "sweet spot" for a new key. It worked better on fast songs, and gives them a more mellow tone overall. Ill post the few that I've worked on but there's still many more.

SMW is my go-to summer comfy game. I've played it so many times so there's no surprise factor any more, but its good for when I have a weekend to kill as it only takes a few days to get through it
Dank blogpost friendo. Upvoted :-)

I stopped doing this and now enjoy much more games, from /vr/ games to the latest shit.
ITT: /vr/ erotic games.
hard mode: nothing from the avgn porn games video
>Play text porn game
>Game asks me to input measurements of the woman
>Literally don't know what I'm doing
>Game insults me based on what I put in
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
This game was written completely in Applesoft BASIC. I wonder how difficult it would be to do a C64 port given the extremely similar BASIC.
Playing Fallout 1 for the first time. I am using the Fallout fixt patch, should I go purist or half ?
>>3272537
Purist.
What's the additional content?
>>3272537
How about you just play the game however you want instead of asking questions. It's a role playing game. So you know, role play and make your own decisions like the grown man that you are

Would you indulge him, /vr/?
I still have some acid somewhere but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

this fucking thread again.
God fucking dammit Im so done with this board.
Enjoy it cancer i hope you have a great time
Sup, /vr/, these 2 games were developed by BlueSky software in the mid-late 90's and I'd like to figure out which engine they run on. The amazon description for the Goosebumps Attack of the Mutant strategy guide claims that it runs on a modified Doom engine, but the file structure for these games is unlike anything i've ever seen. here are some videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHhgjKaLHJw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQbL0gbWe_E
open it in a hex editor and look around, retard
>>3272143
I Mean, i would if i actually knew how to use one.
Pic of some game files. they use the same resource types.
>>3272137
I think they programmed the engine in house and just reused it for goosebumps. Doesn't look like a doom engine at all.
Are there more games that work and feel very similar to these?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdN0mf_itXM
interesting video btw...
>Amarant was a permanent party member.
>Beatrix wasn't.
Why /vr/?
Also, characters who should have been playable/ permanently available. Any genre you want.
>FF8
>PC version
>Play as anyone you want at any time
>including Laguna, Kiros, Ward, Ada, Seifer
>Make a team of 3 Lagunas
>Can't get any more badass
>why am I even greentexting this is not /v/ circa 2007
The original Final Fantasy resurrection myth.
He actually tags along at some point but his only non-boss appearance in battle is an in-engine cutscene where he gets smashed by Melbu Frauma.
Finally beat the original Super Mario Bros.! Okay, not original, but the All-Stars version. I kinda feel bad for using the continues, but World 8 was hard as hell! Especially with the hammer bros. But I'm pretty proud after finally completing a game without savestate abuse. Didn't even use 1 savestate
Did you guys struggle with the same game?
Do any of you guys have a bad addiction to savestates?
>>3272069
I used to think that game was hard then i played the lost levels
>>3272069
>inacurate port
>in an emulator
not one but two reasons you haven't even actually played the game at all, let alone beat itlol j/k congrats
>>3272069
Beat dat shit on a nes then call me nugga
What are some great remakes of /vr/ games?
>>3271825
Super Mario All Stars
Resident Evil 1
Duck Tales.
Not the upcoming FFVII one.
Nice to meet you, Gillian. I am Metal Gear MK II.
>>3271752
i always thought metal gear would´ve been something cool but instead it´s this little shit
why they didnt name the series just Snake or Cold War: Nuclear Crisis something since it´s never about the metal gear itself
>>3271752
Metal Gear MK II?!?!
>>3271769
They wanted to call it Intruder originally. They should've stuck with that name. I always the Metal Gear itself felt shoehorn in the sequels, except maybe in MGS1.
better or worse?
also third party controller thread
>>3271650
Worse
>>3271650
Much much better. Also it's barely third party since Nintendo and hori love eachother. It's like the highest quality closest thing you can get to An actual first party controller
The dpad seems like it would be an uncomfortable reach for the left thumb
What's emulation like on Android?
Wouldnt mind some vidya gaymen white on the move
It's solid as far as performance goes, but touch controls are fucking awful.
Works rad. Most systems covered. Get a controller, or get an nVidia Shield Portable.
The NSP completely solves all onscreen control problems for everything. A controller may only work on most emulators, and may be hard to configure, but generally, any android device plus any controller = portable emulation happiness.
>>3271629
I played Chrono Trigger and FF4 in that emulator and had a great timewith Chrono Trigger. Not FF4. Sorry FF fans
