Jesus, why is this game so insanely perfect? Godly replayability, best OST of all time, memorable everything, and killer tight gameplay.
Anyway, what is your favorite song from this game? I've been into Bubbleman and Flashman recently. Favorite stage Quickman and Crashman.
3 was better
>Anyway, what is your favorite song from this game?
I almost don't wanna say Wily 1/2 because it's so obvious but it's also so fucking good. Other than that Quickman.
>>3265465
OP, you should look into the underground artist Mega Ran, or Randam. He made a cool album based off MM2. Bubbleman and Flashman beats included
>>3265483
Hard to pick but Flashman is prolly my fav in MM2.

bump
>>3263904
This is a slow board. Don't bother bumping more often than once or twice a day.
>sega genesis, CD and 32X had 3 separate plugs
Good thing power strips exist
don't forget the power supplies you'll need for your mega karaoke and sega channel!
Wasn't someone working on an all-in-one power cable for this purpose? Did it ever get released?
Haven't been on here as much the last couple of years, and I just realized there hasn't been a BST thread in some time. What happened to those? I noticed they're not in other boards as well.
We do have them, just not back-to-back.
>>3260934
Oh, okay. I've been lurking the past couple of weeks regularly and haven't seen one.
>>3260956
I'm here all day, everyday and I haven't seen one either, hombre.
Recently I've been interested in playing more retro games, and since I recently saved an old TV from the garbage, I have some questions:
How is the Wii for emulation, to what gen will it be able to run games on? I know it can run in 240p, older consoles' original resolution, which is a great deal, but would it run, for example, Yoshi's Island, or something like that?
Any tricks or preferred emulators for it? I know the originals are better, but I'm piss poor, so it's the most affordable thing.

One of the best options around especially if you have a CRT tv, I have mine still hooked to my old bulky Trinitron and the image is fantastic. It can run N64 games (I suggest to use VC for it anyway), PS1 (WiiSX could be a little tricky for the usb, but it runs great), ScummVM (if you are interested in LucasArts games Wiimote works splendidly) and basically anything from 16bit and below, I don't know any issues with them, never been able to emulate Atari 2600 but still.
I use RetroArch mainly, and emulates perfectly anything from MD, SNES, NES, PC-E, Arcade stuff and other things. Maybe some purists have better options, but I'm fine with this.

Stella does a fine job for 2600 games on the Wii, I use it for Space Invaders regularly.
>hardcoregaming101

Which one of you fags wrote this?
Wario's favorite console is the Genesis.
>>3257416
A lot of genesis games have terrible music. This is a fact. The GEMS engine is garbage. A lot of Genesis games have great music.
well shit, it's real
Game discussion, tech questions, hardware modding, recent acquisitions, etc. Play it loud.
There were no good gameboy games before the GBA that weren't Pokemon related.
Prove me wrong.

0/10. Troll harder.
>>3257054
Get a load of this faggot.
>tfw fell for the SCART meme
S-Video is good and the cables are cheap. The price on them aren't fucking skyhigh to cash in on the retro gaming craze. Plus you don't need to buy a decent scart converter like the XRGB-Mini which is also a meme
It seems you are American, because you don't have to buy a scaler/converter to stick it in to your tv unless you are an American.

>being european
arguably worse than being European

Is it the lack of a leading capital letter?
Is it worth it if I've never been interested in any of the mainline Final Fantasy games?
Also, PS1 or PSP version?
>>3222727
It's good. GBA one is better.
>>3222727
Don't waste your time, Final Fantasy is overrated trash.
>>3222727
It's good

At least meme on the right game retard, OP is clearly about Tactics Ogre 2
Here's some points of discussion:
1.) Project showoffs
2.) Hacking help
3.) ROM hack recommendations

Anyone know any good tutorials about 65c816 assembly programming/hacking? I'm working on a SNES hack and it would be pretty helpful. Cheers m8s.
>>3163976
All the documentation you need to hack the SNES:
1) "Programming the 65816" by David Eyes and Ron Lichty
http://wiki.nesdev.com/w/images/7/76/Programmanual.pdf
2) Official SNES dev manual
http://www.romhacking.net/documents/226/
3) Anomie's SNES docs, more accurate hardware details than the dev manual
http://www.romhacking.net/?page=documents&category=&platform=&game=&author=548&perpage=20&level=&title=&desc=&docsearch=Go
All the software you need to start hacking the SNES:
1) Geiger's Snes9x debugging emulator
http://www.zophar.net/snes/geiger-s-snes9x-debugger.html
2) YY-CHR, or some other graphics editing program. More a convenience than absolutely required. Probably better utilities exist.
http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/119/
3) Assembler
I'll publish an assembler towards the middle of summer aimed at SNES dev, but for now you're on your won.
If you have any question regarding SNES hacking, ask away.
Hey vr/ I'm looking for a gameboy clone, something that can emulate gba games that cheaper then the k101. Anyone know any solid systems to buy?
>GBA
Not retro. Will never be retro.
A Chinese Android tablet/phone.
>>3270576
The GBA SP AGS-101 continues to be the definitive way to play Gameboy/Gameboy Color games.
You're also retarded.
Nothing makes me happier than clicking over to /vr/ and seeing someone sperg out about what is and isn't retro

Tell me more
I'll have to buy this game on GoG since nobody wants to tell me their opininion on it.
>tfw you calculate all the money you spent on games that aren't worth much anymore...
>>3270412
I can look at it both ways.
I bought plenty before prices started going up, but those $1-$3 dollars games really add up. Like $300, which is kinda a lot for my income.
While I could say that it was a good investment with the price inflation, I have no intent of selling them (fun games), so it's kinda irrelevant to me.
I haven't made many new purchases that I regretted. Wasn't till 6th gen that magazine and online reviews became 95% unreliable.
Waste of money I guess but I enjoy the hobby.
>>3270412
i would imagine a sealed perfect dark is worth $60
Which Game Boy Tetris is better to get?
It's Tetris, not brain surgery. Just get one.

The original because its super gb compatible

I don't know who you are or why you're doing this but I support you posting hot azns in random threads. Keep up the good work.
Admit it anon.
You used to sit in your room/basement for hours, thinking of robot masters for Megaman sequels and attempting to draw them.
Share with us you best ideas from 25+ years ago.The only one I remember drawing up was a guy named Battery Man. He shot battery acid. Because battery acid is cool and edgy when you're a youngfag in the late 80s/early 90's.
I didn't do that at all.
>>3270064
I drew dadman. He came home from work and would play with me and my brother and tell us he loved us and not get drunk and beat up my mom.
yeah you're right. I thought of this guy when I was tiny and I drew this four years back. Then I learned about Kinnikuman and boy is it cool.
