Has anyone ever actually put Crazy Hassan in a game? How did it go?

There are two things that I have obviously stolen and am not ashamed of and so never hid.

One was C.M.O.T. Dibbler, town merchant. Any town. Almost any merchanting. There is one per town in local flavor.

The other is Crazy Hassan.

He sells any sort of livestock or pack animal you want. He is everywhere. His is, in effect, a small god.
>>
>>44651394
Hassan's shown up in a few games, but with one exception, never more than a bit part.

That was a PTU campaign. He sold one of the players a submarine Camerupt that went on to wipe up the local league.

She was just a regular Camerupt in scuba gear.
>>
>>44651394
I try to put Crazy Hassan in all of my games somewhere, mostly because the party I play with likes him a running gag in our games. I've had him sell scuba camels, give the players money for taking his camels, and even had a short side quest to rescue Hassan from camels that had gone over to ISIS. Good times.

Most of the big Ratchet & Clank enemies would make for fun bosses.

I'm looking to make a tinker/crafter/merchant for our next campaign to be our party's armory guy. If possible I'd like to be able to contribute to combat as well, so I was thinking along the lines of a conjuration wizard (always have the right tool for the job) or possibly an artificer if my DM okays it.

Any suggestions? I really want to make this work if possible, so I'll take anything I can get.

Post your character concept/background, recieve advice and constructive criticism.
I'll start.

> Ulthuan sea elf minor noble & Loren wood elf minor noble fall in love, Character is born. Parents break up sometime later and Char is raised by mother, does not manage to bond with father but is aware of his double cultural heritage. Char learns asrai combat skills and etiquette very good, partly because he does not want to be looked down upon due to being half sea elf.
> Char wants to see the world and goes adventuring in the Empire, meets humans and different cultures, bonds with another asrai adventurer and they become bros in arms. Buddy dies couple years after while they were hunting chaos beasts, Char is shocked and goes back to Loren to better train and prepare to defend it from chaos attacks. Becomes a skilled wardancer.
> Orcs attack near bretonnian countryside, human refugees seek shelter within Loren but they still pose a threat. Char just wants to drive them off, Badelf, another asrai noble, wants them dead. The two fights over it, in the end Badelf wins and battle with humans ensues. Badelf father is assassinated during the battle, Char is framed for it. Badelf inherits titles and land, Char is exiled, renounces nobility and severes all ties with asrai society.
> Back to the Empire once again. Char finds a party and goes adventuring for some years around the old world, grows up, hones skills and gets XP. Finds love within the party, and enjoys a brief peace.
> party member is secretly a chaos cultist. During a city insurrection he kidnaps Char's love interest, and flees. Char pursues him over months, eventually finds them but love is sacrificed to slaanesh, possessed by a daemon, and chaos cultist is promoted to chaos warrior. Daemon disappears, chaos warrior is killed by Char.

> Char goes back to Ulthuan trying to reconnect with his roots, and find his father. Search is not successful and life is hard in high elf land due to wood elf upbringing. Char's combat skills though are noticed by swordmasters of hoeth, and he gets recruited. Spends years training with them and is redeployed in the Old World as an agent/spy for the Tower of hoeth
> After some years spent developing a network in Altdorf, Char discovers tracks of the daemon possessing his dead wife, and goes on pursuit seeking revenge.

Last time on Military Magical Girl: You, Matsushita Miyako, "mage-soldier" of Transdimensional Imperial Magical Administration, was forced to join the 13th Magical Education Facility. You joined up with Squad 437 and recieved your mage rankings, putting you at a Rank VII mage. It wasn't soon after that your squad was called upon for a preliminary mock battle match against an enemy squad. You barely escaped with your life and had to spend the next couple days in the hospital before being released. It has been ten days since then.

Urewara-sensei was talking in the lecture hall, her black hair waving over her glasses as she paced the hall. "In 347 AE, the Seventh Magical Division of the URC began it's assault of the planet, Norata, beginning the long series of battles that would eventually become the First Mage War. Now can anyone tell me what the-" She was cut off by the bell ringing, signaling a sigh from the rest of the class as they stood up, collected their belongings, and filed out the door.
"Don't forget that the test on the Magic Theory will be on Monday! So do your best!" Urewara yelled, her voice obviously not heard over the rest of the student-soldiers.

School was hard for you, but at least you had regained some semblence of a daily life, a life that you had been forcefully removed from back on Earth. That had seemed so long ago.

"Matsushita-san." Said a voice. You turned around after packing up your bag to see Urewara-sensei standing over your desk.
"Yes sensei?" You ask.
"You always do well on the practicums and magic theory tests, but your historical skills are a bit lacking. I would suggest seeing a tutor sometime in the future. It doesn't hurt to seek help if you're struggling."

[]No thank you, I don't need help.

Quadrant is a Sci-fi RPG set in 4 star systems connected by hyper space gates and controlled by massive and faceless Mega-Corporations. Play as a space-cop type Enforcer and hunt down criminal scum. Or be a high value corporate spy and master of industrial espionage. Or Maybe you are a nobody down on your luck and fighting to survive. Failing any of these you could also be a captain of a small transport ship just trying to make ends meet by hook or by crook. There are 4 main game types in Quadrant that are all totally cross-compatible. Quadrant has no levels or classes and focuses development on how the character is played.
So over the last three months or so I have been making my own Role Playing game called "Quadrant". Basically I have Been playing RPGs for about 15 years and I really love a lot of them! Some favourites have been Call of Cthulhu, Rogue Trader, Eclipse Phase and of course Pathfinder! But each had strengths and some had weaknesses, so I sought to Frankenstein a new system with all of the best bits! Obviously the only way to do that is to scratch build a system.
So here where my goals for the game:-

1) A nice blend of realism and fantasy.
I love Sci-Fi and fantasy, Lasers space battles and magic I'm fine with, but if I'm watching a film and some henchman unloads a fully automatic weapon at the hero from three feet away, and the hero is unscathed because he ducked behind the curtains, then that is a step too far! In my head the hero repeatedly being shmashed in the face with a great axe wielding muscle bond Ogre, but being fine because he still has 2HP left and then dying because a goblin farted in his general direction is the same sin. STOP IT!
>>
2) A sleek and elegant character creation and development system.
I'm not just trying to be a pompous wee shite here, I would like to put the emphasis on real character development and role playing not traipsing through a massive book for three hours only to answer the question "So what is your character like?" with something like "He's a 6th level half-elf Paladin.". I'd rather spend ten minutes making a character that can be described as "A chain smoking recluse but a man of grit and determination with a powerful thirst for justice and a serious gambling problem."

3) A book that breaks immersion as little as possible by blending rules and story so one reflects the other.
"What?!" You know in 40k fluff how Space Marines are like one man armies but in the game they are all right but can still be killed buy a luck grot? Yeah well NOT that! So in the book I went to lengths so the equipment descriptions sound like product reviews that you'd find online. I want even looking through the rules to feel world building. A-list is one way of doing that and Adverts for the Corporations are another.

What's happened so far:

The Godmodder has attacked 4chan for an unspecified reason, clearly an excuse to combat you all. In his battles with the Anons and the Named Ones, he was able to annihilate both /pol/ and /b/ in one shot, (he also became a she due to some magical dagger genderbender shenanigans)

A foolish named one named Gentleman Eric tried to absorb /b/'s dark madness. He failed and became the /b/east a amalgamation of all /b/'s latent dark energy.

The Anons and the Named Ones successfully defeated the /b/east by venturing inside it and destroying its Heart. Pistol did this by using its own immune system and turning it into a Shadow of Colossus ripoff.

With the Heart successfully defeated and an imposter ignored, they ventured outside of the /b/east's carcass to find this was a ploy for time. The Godmodder has turned /tg/ into a Casino for her own amusement.

Venture inside?

Probably not, there's a large number of settings/fictions (often video games, but whatever) that simply do not realise how incredibly OP their shit is, and is only prevented from being OP as fuck by it's plot getting in the way/the OP as shitness never really coming up.

But what do you mean by 'one of'? How big a group are you talking about here, and by extension what do you consider modern science fiction?

You should probably be surprised, but at this point a hollowed out corpse is pretty run of the mill by your standards. “Which organs were missing?”

The elven slave, Gerasimos you think his name was, clears his throat. “Missing might not be the right word. Granted we've yet to find either her heart or kidneys, but her lungs were nailed to the wall and her intestines strung through the bars as though some sort of grizzly ornamentation. Her stomach was ruptured completely and its contents scattered across the walls. I'd go on but I rather think you get the picture.”

You seem to recall there were certain rituals practiced during the time of the Hiacian Empire regarding the consumption of the hearts of one's vanquished enemies, something about gaining their power. The tradition is poorly understood since it was at its heart a Suryan practice, and with the collapse of the Suryan priesthood their rituals and ceremonies were lost to time. The Jailer you met here the other day springs to mind as a likely suspect. He claims to dedicate himself to Surya and could move freely through the dungeon without suspicion.

Yet that seems like too obvious a suspect. You imagine if your brother's jailer was going to murder someone, he would at least try to cover his tracks. He did not seem lacking in his mental faculties when you met him. Plus, so far as you're aware, under the Suryan practice efforts were made to extract the heart with as little blood spilled as possible. The goal was to ensure that the victim remained alive long enough to see their heart eaten. “Were there any witnesses? The cells did not seem to lack for occupants when I was there last.”

Zaahir shrugs his shoulders, his expression passive. “Many of the prisoners heard grinding stone, bones snapping, screams, and whispering voices. Most simply assumed that it was the Herbad at work. However, Zakariyya claims he was undergoing his devotions at the time and thus nowhere near the dungeons. None can corroborate his story, but that's to be expected. From what I understand devotions are an intensely private affair.”

Gerasimos cuts in once your brother seems finished speaking. “One prisoner in particular, a local drunk arrested for pissing in a fountain, claims to have seen a large, hunched figure with the horns of an ox enter the dungeon. We dismissed his testimony out of hand, his cell was nearly at the end of the hall. Past the cell of the victim and nowhere near the entrance.”

>Well, regardless this isn't any of your business. Mortia obviously isn't involved.
>Suggest they investigate Zakariyya's involvement, you don't trust that priest.
>You seem to recall there being a number of sealed tunnels branching off the dungeons, perhaps they should open one up and investigate?

PREVIOUSLY: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=Star+Wars%3A+Fortune+Hunter

You enjoy a slight breakfast of eggs and Nuna sausage with your holobook on the Jedi open for you to read. Around you, the podracer hangar was buzzing with activity, figuratively and literally. Many were blasting their engines to snuff out dust and warm them up for the race tonight, others were making bets with each other, and some were busy “helping” other pilots with “surprise modifications”. You had to take note that there were no other human pilots besides Misri. Podracing is not for the faint of heart, and unfortunately the entire species of humanity simply isn’t built to podrace. Any human who can podrace is either a Jedi or lying.

“Rhys!” You look, then find yourself enraptured by Misri’s disguise. Form fitting brown pants with a Clone trooper kama around her hips and her lower thighs. And on her chest was simply wrappings covering her up underneath a heavy brown vest, combined with more wrappings on her arms and her hands. And on her head was a salvaged Naboo Royal pilot helmet, complete with goggles. “What do you think? The organizer said I could probably make a few extra credits if I showed off a little something something to the crowd, make them think I’m just a little girl way in over her head! Pretty wizard, eh?” She shakes her hips a bit, smirking at you. “Like it?”

“Only when it’s on the floor of my quarters,” you say. She rolls her head back, exhaling in disgust. “You sure you’re up to podracing? It’s not just winning, it’s also evading the heat too. The Empire doesn’t take too kindly to the sport, especially on its home turf.”

“Relax, I’ve dodged police speeders before,” she boasts. She looks down at your holobook. “What are you reading?”

“Reviewing the history of the Jedi Order,” you say. “Up to and including the Clone Wars.”

“Ever meet a Jedi?” she asks. If you have, they probably wiped your memory of it. So you shake your head. “Lame. They’re the guys who use the Force and all that, right?”

“Right,” you say. “It’s mostly just cheap parlor tricks and showmanship though. A lot of things the Jedi could do, a clever man can do too.” You flip through your holobook. “Like this. The Jedi mind trick. It’s said here that a Jedi could command the minds of the weak-minded. Can you believe that?”

“Actually, I can,” she says. “I’ve met lots of goons who did what I said though…” She looks down at her body, and back at you. “Probably not so much mind trick as…” She shrugs. “Whatever. What about the mind trick?”

“Basically, wave your hand and tell someone to do something and they’ll do it,” you say. “We saw something like that back on Kashyyyk, the guy was just paying off the guys he was mind tricking.”

“Ooooh.” Misri quickly sweeps her legs back in a fighting posture, then waves her hand at you with a fierce grin. “You will give me your breakfast.”

You grip your plate and say, “I will-“ Wait. This is stupid. “What- no, this is stupid!” She groans in frustration as you continue to eat. Ugh, headache. You rub at your head, furrowing your brow. “Don’t you have your podracer to attend to?”

“Yeah,” she says. “I’m there if you need me.” She turns around and walks off, her hips swaying as she goes. Already earning those credits you see. As she does, Kuvasz and Vikker come by.

Kuvasz says to you. “So what did you want to talk to us about?” he asks.

“Katana Fleet, Zann Consortium is offering me 100k plus full market cashing of my share of ingots,” you explain very briefly. They seem confused at that, but you’re not sure how to explain it better than that. “Tyber Zann himself asked me. He’s even got a Defiler over there watching me.” You point out a man in red evil looking armor watching you from the other end of the hangar. You wave at him. He simply continues to stare at you.

“What’s a smalltime hood like Tyber want with a myth?” asks Vikker. He crosses his arms. “His Defilers yeah, they’re scary, but there isn’t enough of them to crew two-hundred dreadnaughts.”

“I wouldn’t trust smalltime hoods with fleets that could threaten the galaxy,” says Kuvasz. “What did you have planned?”

Might be another compromised meeting/trap but that should at least be interesting.
