Does anyone have significantly younger/older /tg/ siblings or relatives? How do their games differ from yours?
My early-teens brother has been hosting sessions for his friends and I still can't get over the fact that all of his players scream in mock pain every single time their characters take damage.

Parents projecting. Your mewling slug spawn isn't as cute as you think it is.
>have significantly older brother
>get into Magic as a kid
>he kicks my ass repeatedly because his brain is developed
>learn vocabulary several grades above my own
It worked out well

Not in my setting.
I recently came up with the barebones of a D&D/Pathfinder/etc. setting, but due to various circumstances, I am unable to work on it to any significant degree. As such, I am handing it over to all of you to see what happens.
The premise is as follows, after the creation of a massive, permanent gate to Hell in the southwestern portion of the known land, the good-aligned deities decide to launch a Ragnarok-type event, creating their own permanent gate in the North. Not to be left out, the Abyss creates their own permanent gate in the Southeast. While not the only gates, these three are the main routes through which the forces of the three are sent through.
General reaction of races of the world is for the majority of the good-aligned individuals all going up to join the heavenly host, and the Lawful-Evil and Chaotic-Evil to join up with the side their alignment favors, with half the Neutral-Evil heading down to join either side. The Neutral alignments and the individuals who remained behind take the remnants of world nations and collectively declare war upon all invading forces and those who joined them.
It's not much, but I think you can get a general idea of how things are from it.
>>44618511
I feel like the neutrals would end up summoning shitloads of elementals to fight the angels/demons/devils. Might even have a few carefully watched and kill-switched gates of their own to get the elemental shock troops that much more easily.
Really, though, what this is all asking for is for the planar chaos to end up tearing a rift into the Far Realm.
In general, would the neutrals create Inquisitions to stamp out worship towards the Pantheon, Devils, and Demons?
>>44618699
So the Eldritch Horrors will be invading the realm as well, turning it into an even greater clusterfuck of a disaster? Is there a way to make it worse still?
I'm looking for artwork depicting magic, specifically a wizard casting magic involving one of the four classical elements, and in particular magic involving air. Artwork of wizards using air and not lightning is particularly hard to find, it seems. Can /tg/ help me out? I'll dump a sampling of the stuff I liked from just googling around.
Tell me about how theaegisclass fits into your campaign
>>44618212
it doesnt
they're one of many unique individuals who can do crazy superhuman and/or magical stuff. Pop up now and then, usually in adventuring groups.
Just like literally any other player class, really.
>>44618212
What do they do?
What if the High Lords decided say "what if", then take all the deadliest Catachan Fighters, put some gene-seed in them, not tell tell all that Space Marine doctrine bullshit, and just let them do their thing?
How stupid or awesome would that be?
Oh yeah, they get Flecktarn camo color schemes.
>>44617624
>not tell tell all that Space Marine doctrine bullshit
they get declared heretical and purged by =][=
>>44617636
I just mean the "SPIRITUAL LIEGE!" parts and the thing that keeps them from smoking cigars and shooting machine guns with one hand.
>>44617624
Gene-seed implantation has to happen at a rather early age.
A better idea would just be to stick them in Power Armour and give them marine weapons.
Starting a new pulp adventure campaign and realize I am woefully low on pulp adventure art. Airship captains, fighter pilots, archaeologists, noir detectives, etc.

I wouldn't have thought so.
The villain's getaway dirigible.
Are there any stories/novels about punk scum gangs in the depths of hive cities having to fight tyrannies/orks/chaos/insertgalactichorrorhere when their planet gets invaded? I want to read this.
>curious about stories of the hive scum
>not about the man who does Emperor's holy work among them

if this is a necromunda or specialist game thread, why does mordheim have such a large following while necromundas following is almost non existent
>>44619927
Simple, miniature availability and more playable races
think about it, for necromunda and mordheim you need basically two tings
-Dense Scenery
-Miniatures
the scenery part is "easy", you can make your own, but you need lots of it to play both games right
then we have miniatures, for mordheim you can have the "Empire Free Company" and you have enough miniatures for two human warbands, for the other races, basically you can take a box of basic troops add some green stuff and use it (dwarves, skaven, beastmen, lizardmen, orcs and goblins, etc) and done, you got your warband and you can playwith skaven slingshot spam you cheeky bastard.
But for Necromunda, at most you can use a box of catachan, fantasy flagellants, and now chaos cultists for some warbands and there isn't any more boxes from 40k to chose from, besides all warbands on necromunda are "human", you need the necromunda miniatures to represent necromunda factions, so is harder than mordheim to make a warband, also you don't get to play a ork, necron, tau or eldar warband
also GW made Gorkamorka but aparently never took off, even that you need less scenery, you can use vehicles because is ORKS ALL DAY EVERY DAY aparently

First for no survivors.
Why is the Saga Edition Old Republic Campaign Guide so expensive? $75 for an eight year old RPG book on Amazon! Did they just not make very many or what?
Actual New Thread: >>44616942
Please keep SFW.
Also, looking for that one pic where a Western dragon is going "MUTHERFUCKING GOLD" with its pile of gold, and the Eastern dragon is looking at the Western dragon as if in disgust.
Guess this shows the demand for SFW dragon stuff.
>>44616535
Don't they always offer shit to Chinese dragons in rituals (like gold)?

When you start a thread looking for art, always make sure you dump some art of your own to start the thread. Otherwise 9 times out of 10 it'll just die unnoticed or break the rules since you're requesting stuff outside of >>>/r/ and not giving anything in return.
How does /tg/ feel about westerns as tabletop settings? Have any of you actually gotten to play one? Would you want to?
Any suggestions for good systems?
>>44616508
My players have played something of a space western, went excellent. Would gm a party of wannabe Han Solos again
Id recommend Deadlands the Weird west for a Spaghetti Western Comedy Horror Steampunk Fantasy. Its basically 1880s but someone awakened the "Reckoners" and now monsters roam the world and the Civil war continues. The comedy in it comes from its "western" slang and the fact they got thumbs up from the actor of Ashley Williams from Evil Dead and Sam Raimey. I actually have a copy where Ash is talking about how awesome Deadlands is. In the Sister game Deadlands: Hell On Earth which is Post apocalypse of Weird West, he actually is made an NPC along with S-mart.
HoE and Lost colony still feel like westerns BTW. HoE and Weird West are in my top 5 favorite RPGs. With HoE being further up than weird west since every character has a "PANIC, BLOW EVERYTHING UP INCLUDING MYSELF!" button, where as Weird West its mainly just Madscientists and Hucksters.
And for Table Top, Deadlands has 2 Card game lines called Doomtown. Theres also for something like W40k Malifaux which feels like table top deadlands since really the only difference is that their on another planet and that magic is known about by almost everyone.
Decent game too, hard to find players in CA though so I rarely get to play.
A friend of mine ran a great Deadlands themed GURPS game.
I adapted Pathfinder (Due to laziness and the guns are already there) into a pseudo western/fantasy game. Tech was around Napoleonic to just before the Civil War.
So guys tell me about your current character, what yall hope for them and what his/her goals in life are.
ADAD 5th lvl barbarian, chaotic good, just got a vorpral sword from a wish and some even chain so I can keep my dex bonus. Ice got about 80 hit points because of my con bonus. He's trying to remove all foul wizards from the world and our party wizard and illusionist are pretending to be clerics.
>>44616258
*elven chain
>>44616258
Hot damn I love inter-party shenanigans. Our halfling rogue was put in prison for murder and our half-orc barbarian just became captain of the city guard. He's going to have him fight other inmates on death row in an arena to earn his freedom

You are Ricky Montana, Sergeant in the UNSC Army, 14.11.2552, currently assigned to 13th AD, 45th Bat, as a Tanker.
And you find yourself staring across the plains on a beautiful morning, with the sun casting long shadows across the ground, and the scent of dry grass wafting through the air. A couple hours earlier, 93rd Cav had brushed past, apparently on a reconnaissance mission. Covenant forces had drastically increased overnight, and UAV surveillance had become nearly impossible.
A burst of static alerts you to a transmission over Company comms. "This is Razor. Have word from Division. Wait.
[1/2]
>>44614881
> You are too engage Covenant forces in the town and act as a base of fire for the maneuvering elements to approach from the South and cripple their forces. 93rd Recon Battalion will cover the Northern approach. Once the maneuvering elements have entered the town you are to move in with Company B, Company C will move North and assist 93rd. Artillery is in position and standing by."
> You are to hold position and dig in with the Mechanised infantry and halt the Covenant push while the 45th and 46th maneuver. Artillery is in position and standing by."
"You are too engage Covenant forces in the town and act as a base of fire for the maneuvering elements to approach from the South and cripple their forces. 93rd Recon Battalion will cover the Northern approach. Once the maneuvering elements have entered the town you are to move in with Company B, Company C will move North and assist 93rd. Artillery is in position and standing by. Over." The low-band clicks off and you contemplate your orders.
Force Tracker is already showing the friendly units that have moved up and are now running parallel to your position. 93rd, A Company is already North of the town. As soon as your Company makes contact all the wheels are going to be set in motion.
You toggle Platoon wide comms and call the other Platoon Leaders for a chat.
It doesn't take long for them to arrive at your briefing area. A small white board indicating the coming battle.
"As far as we know, the majority of the Covenant forces are in this town. Recon estimates about 400 vehicles and 11,000 mixed infantry judging from the amount of Hydrogen shacks and average Covenant force composition." You indicate to a junction just in front of the town, this is where we will halt before splitting off. The other Battalions should have entered the town by then." You make eye contact with the Commanders to ensure they understand the plan so far. "You've all got the channels for artillery. Make sure your squad knows it in case one of you goes down. Artillery has predesignated targets. After the first salvo they'll hit the front of the town, that's when we go in. There won't be much room, so if you call in a strike, it'll be danger close."
> Your Platoon is on point as you move into town
> Ghostface is on point as you move into town
> Inspector is on point as you move into town

Planning on starting a game for Toon soon, so, ya yuks got any advice for me?
silly voiced undead BBEG is a must
>>44614779
Brush up on your toon mannerisms.
Watch the classic technicolor cartoons, primarily Warner Brothers. This'll give you a better idea of the general logic and settings to expect.
The rest is pretty much up to what exactly you want to run.
>>44615287
Okay, so, I'm planning on it being episodic, you know, each session having little to do with each other, heck, I'm going to allow them to switch characters each session if they feel like it.
That said, I have in mind one session to be Wild West themed, and, if one of them asks if there's an Indian village, I'm going to give them an Indian village... as in, actual Hindu Indian. Sounds good for a gag?
Alright guys I have two or more wishes in ADAD, I want to wish for a Vorpral sword withought being screwed over. How can I do this?
>>44613826
Btw the wishes are coming from a luck blade, it works the same as the 9th lvl spell
Another shameless self bump
>>44613826
I wish that my current sword becomes a vorpal sword, while remaining uncursed, unchanged in appearance and wieldiness and remaining in my possession.
That's about it. It can still fuck you over but it's about as simple as you can get without dragons saying "That's my fucking sword!"
We know how is the realm of the chaos Gods in the warp.
>Khorne - Brass Citadel
>Slaanesha - Pink Palace
>Nurgle - rot Garden
>Tzeentch - Multidimesional Maze
But how is the realm of the God emperor inside the warp is just like this pic or is something else?
>>44613379
I like to think gold, cermite, aquilas and lightning motifs everywhere.
Below the golden throne, guardsmen and women feast and make merry; weapons close at hand until the final battle.
Sisters of battle and marines fly throughthe air having been transformed into actual angels.
While the inquisition looks down on the mortal realm from the side.
>>44613540
Any Idea for the dead Loyalist Primarchs in the realm of their father.
>>44613379
A sterile monochrome cubic landscape where change almost does not occur. So basically a realm of order and no fun allowed.
