because GM's fancy themselves creative types who believe multifaceted characters somehow make their villain more relateable and therefore sufficiently deep. In the context of the actual setting and plot that the adventures find themselves in, a straightforward bad dude will usually suffice in getting the players hyped to roleplay.

Because giving someone a reason beyond "lul, im evul" to do something can make a character more compelling and engaging for the players, it just needs to be done well.

Is Dank Elder really worth it? I wanted to include them in my deck, but I gave up as I wasn't able to buy the damn cards anywhere near (being yurofag is suffering, not to mention I still miss 2 baloths and I'm forced to use wilt leaf cavaliers to replace them).

What I am genuinely angry about is the lack of Scapeshift in the whole BFZ block and MM2015. It makes so much sense.

Honestly MM2015 was fucking awful. Easily could have slotted in Inquisition of Kozilek at uncommon (literally Kozilek is in that shit set), Scapeshift at rare, Grove/Canopy at rare, Linvala/Thrun/Azusa at rare, Urza Tron at uncommon... would have been nice to have some candy like in MM2013.

Essentially you can get different aromatic oils blended into small beads that you buy in a tin or have them placed in a locket. They have some deliberately gross ones of course like the smells of crypts or rotting flesh but there are quite a few pleasant ones. The smell of dusty books for example or an enchanted forest.

It depends. How lavish conditions do they hold up and how open are their businesses? How high are the rates and how frequently do they "cash in" each night? Consider such a location would undoubtedly need bouncers and guards even if the clientele is well-regulated, because any brothel worth their salty seed is going to have plenty on tap, at a nice expense of course.

How does magic factor in? Do they charge the clients for a Plan B spell, so they don't end up saddled with kids, or even an STI prevention spell? Do the clients get a discount if those sneaky elves want to keep their seed for aphrodisiac potion use? How about extrasensory spells, where they can make 5 minutes feel like an hour? Are there a small number of clairvoyants who "shoplift", paying only for the time they ended up using but leaving with a full experience?

Is the brothel in a nice neighborhood, or a shitty one? Maybe they have to pay protection to an outside family, or maybe they get hush money from local politician regulars.

How fucking integral is this whorehouse to your story, OP?
