You are currently in a high place of the cavern, cradled in the arms of Diving Shadow; your brothers ride her shoulders patiently, their claws gripping her flesh.

You can see the Baron's men marching. The contingent is fairly large - roughly fifty, with perhaps a dozen Overseers - and followed by a mass of skeletons being herded by a thin, reedy man in a broad hat.

<That's the necromancer> Brianna says in your mind. <Remember, you can't hurt him. Don't even try. I need access to him long enough to disrupt whatever he's doing to the death.>

"The floppy hat is our target," you tell Diving Shadow. "He's just as invulnerable as you were. Don't hurt him."

"No promises," the harpy says in a low voice. "But I'll try. I'm going to drop you at those bodyguards of his. Can you occupy them?"

"Of course," you promise. "Just wait for the signal."

The Miners themselves hide in the buildings of the Company Store, letting the living soldiers pass them by. They're marked for mercy.

The skeletons, on the other hand...

The necromancer raises a hand and speaks, or at least you presume he does. The witchflames flicker, and then gutter out. The Store is no longer protected.

"Fuck," Diving Shadow curses. "Hold on, we're diving /now/."

The harpy /leaps/ and tucks her wings for greater acceleration. You cluck an order and your two brothers leap from her shoulders, firing quills at the zombies that flank the necromancer.

You're after the hulking ogre skeleton just behind him.

Distractions! Might make an opening for the Shadow to either bind him or snatch the badge.

Shelves stuffed with jars containing various preserved specimen, all pale and gross. They move sometimes, inside their jars.

The room of chimeras.

I've always been a fan of rooms with giant dead things. Like the ones in evangelion that you see every now and again. Just skeletons or partial corpses of giant things in an otherwise austere and sterile environment.

The mandatory clone vats. Can't have a lab without them. Must be vertical glass cylinders, preferably filled with green goop.

Remove Immortal Elves from Shadowrun. Nobody likes them anyway.

Nothing in the book specifies whether you do or don't.

I'd go with what it says under the Wrestling skill in the Basic Set. '...if you know Wrestling at DX+1 level, add +1 to ST for the purpose of making or resisting any choke, grapple, neck snap...'

Doesn't say anything about needing to use the Wrestling skill to make the attack. If you know Wrestling at that level you get the bonus to any choke.

I'd love to see a spell compendium that stats out a spell effect and then gives its stats in Sorcery, RPM, and skill-based magic.

Obviously that also means we need a skill-based magic system with spell design rules.

The cool thing is that once you have a spell statted out in sorcery, you can easily change it into a psychic power, shamanistic ability, or whatever else just by changing the power modifier.
