Why not form Imperial Guard mutant regiments so they could redeem themselves in death or similar bullshit? It worked for Krieg. Imperium is throwing away perfectly good cannon fodder .

This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son, shortly after everyone has graduated from their Genin exam. I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present. You play as a 12 year old Chunin graduate named Takeshi. You have been assigned a Jounin squad leader named Hanto, and your two squadmates are Kichiro, a young delinquent, and Ai, a strange social outcast of a girl. You are of average skill in most aspects, although your sharp intelligence, and your jack of trades skill set have brought you far. You have just recently graduated to a Chunin after winning the final tournament, and it is the day after. You have some time to relax.

“Pack it up, pack it up quick!” You, Rana, Anneliese, and Sumire quickly get to packing up your items. Only the ones you can carry on a sprint. The radio and the tents are torn down and thrown beneath snowdrifts. The radio itself is smashed to pieces, then thrown over the side of the trail down the mountain. The rocks will take care of the rest for you. You manage to grab at least a few days worth of food and water for yourself along with your winter jacket. As the sun begins to set on the day, you figure that you can use the cover of darkness to shield you and your girls away from prying eyes.
You suddenly hear a frightening howling in the distance. Sumire stops packing, looking around. “Do they have dogs or something!?”
“Worse!” yells Rana. She bounces around the campsite, sweat popping off of her face as she hurries to get her things together. “They’re like rabid mutts those goons! They almost dragged me off!”
“We have to stick to the cover of darkness,” you say. “The entire thing’s blown.”
“What do you mean blown?” asks Anneliese. “Operator #5 was clear not to engage without his permission!”
“Rana was about to get dragged off, I couldn’t let that happen!” you shout. “We-“ The howling again silences you all.
“Yeah, I’d rather we not sit here and wait for the dogs to come for us.” Sumire shoves her backpack into your arms. “What’s the plan, Libby?”

I actually have a very close friend with almost diametrically opposed conceptions of the world from my own, and it can lead to deeply stimulating and interesting dynamics. But this is only possible because he's like my brother.

You kind of need to talk to him about that, maybe. Have a... conversation or something about things. So you know, you’re on the same page. Because you don’t think worrying about that while spirit wrangling native American ghosts is a good combo.
Basically, you need things to be not complicated, and they’re getting more complicated all the time. If you mess up this spirit business, you’ll be too weak to confront your myriad enemies. King Yellow, Sulkrasph the shadow master, and the Stygian Grand Wyrmwrither Ushologuissa all have reasons to want you gone, and you’re running out of time.

Isaac nods at this, thoughtful, then says something that takes you by surprise. “Then I’m coming with you too, for if things get out of hand. Not that they will – Lord knows you had enough of that last year.”
You’re surprised. Like. You shouldn’t be surprised, because Isaac’s your... you know, legal guardian. But usually he leaves you to handle your own business. Isaac stepping it up... he must be really, legitimately worried about you. Which is... cool. (-2 Stress: 38) But also kind of annoying. (+2 Stress: 40)Like, it’ll be cool to have him with you because Isaac’s cool and powerful, but annoying because... you want to do this yourself. You stand there awkwardly for a second, not knowing if you should thank him or be annoyed or what.
And then you hear a knock at the front door – a Wolf-patented pattern.
You seize upon the opportunity to edge out of the family room, and more importantly away from the nauseating aura oozing off Isaac. Two weeks ago as suggested by Louis Toothfucker we started domesticating unconventional animals; bears, sabertusks, centaurs, mimics, goblins, elves etc.
