Earlier during a visit my dad saw my uncle's watch and he told me that "Time is not my own personal playground." I didn't want to argue with him, but I think that since I've planned all this so carefully, I don't think anything's gonna go wrong. I know what to do if I get stuck in the future, I know how I want to spend my money, I even have a backpack full of things to use if I end up in an apocalyptic future. I thought of that one. My friend Aaron thought of the rest.

When my father left I put on the backpack and began turning the crown on my watch.

I decided the year 2056 was far enough.

I took a look around. I realized that the house I was in was probably not mine anymore, so I jumped out the window. I looked at the house I'd just jumped out of. It didn't look too different. It had a different color and a different door, but that was pretty much it. Everything else around me as I went into the town could be described the same way. I went to a local drugstore, and, to my surprise, there were life-extending pills there. They were about 200 bucks, but I had well over $500,000 in just one of the three bank accounts I had put the lottery money in. I took two two pill bottles. Should I...

“What in the bloody hell is going on here?”.

People are fretting left and right, as if they've suddenly been given enough motivation to work extra, or, for some, something to do in the first place. Most of them are soldiers, many of them rather mature, and they are doing it right outside the walls, where you set up camp, because it's the only area with enough free space to build that project of theirs.

Tama is more than glad to be helping, and thanks to her size and strength whatever problems might have arisen from carrying things left and right were immediately solved, and the construction efforts still continue, unimpeded and quicker than you might have thought. You have to wonder, though, how long the actual organization of the event is going to take, because for sure making room for an arena, a joust, a duelling ring and bleachers, as well as some cloth cover to shield the spectators from the unforgiving sun, was a very important first step, but...

“It's a tournament for Tama's hand”, you explain. It's about all there is to it, it's surprising that Bryld looks so pissed off.

“A tourn- A tournament?”, she stares at you in blinking disbelief, “I leave you alone with those two for five fucking minutes and this is what happens?”.

You take another look around and step aside to let a row of muscular soldiers with carpentry tools pass you by, followed by comparatively weedier individuals with sickles and scythes. Well they said they were going to anyway, so really yours was just a convenient excuse.

“Well it wasn't my choice-”.

“I thought you could keep them in check! I trusted you!”, Bryld doesn't want to hear it at all, “I thought I could just sit back and wash our cutlery and stuff, and then you make ten metres! TEN! And this happens!”.

Funny how you're exactly ten metres in right now, too. It seems like this is the most you can make without something happening. And to think you were afraid you'd live a boring, colourless life at some point in your past.

“Well calm down Bryld, I don't see what's wrong, we're just going to have a bit of fun and-”.

“Lillith she's a lonely child who repressed her puberty until yesterday and you're feeding her more attention than she can handle!”, oh, so that's what she's concerned about. Really concerned, from the looks of it, “What about the consequences? She has no idea how human society works, she has no idea that this is just a silly game you're doing to her! And this is not how you get a girl together with someone anyway! You don't even know the participants!”.

You were born as a common a fish as any other, but due to shady governmental genetic engineering you were gifted with a human IQ and functioning diaphragm that allow you to breath air.

You've escaped from the facility to pursue your dream of playing the bass guitar. You're currently at a bar, exiting the stage as you finish your piece for the night.

You head for the exit when a woman calls you over.

You glance back at your ailing sister as she struggles to cook dinner. She’s thrown the ruined pot of noodles into the sink, blackened sticks of pasta and all. Joan seems too distraught to care. She refills the pot with water, and dumps a fresh bag of pasta into the pot. Babs peeks her head out from behind the doorway to the kitchen, a worried look on her face. The carny looks over your shoulder at Joan. She looks back at you, pensively.

“I’m sure that they’ll be fine.” She gives you a smile, it’s obvious that she’s trying to make the expression seem genuine. You aren’t buying it. The carny grabs one of your hands, holding it tightly in hers Babs springs out of her chair and runs to you, you try to say something before you vanish from existence. The whole entire world stretches out like a rubber band as the carny uses what you can only assume are her magical abilities on you. Your stomach churns and your vision spins as you travel through the city at impossible speeds. Before you even have time to register what exactly just happened, you find yourself standing in front of a very classy looking restaurant. The name ‘Saint Lawrence’s’ is written in gilded letters, and surrounded by neon lights. Men and women are milling about outside, wearing suits and dresses that look like they cost more than what your parents made in their collective lifetimes. They don’t pay you, or the carny any attention at all. You suddenly feel very poor, and very underdressed. She doesn’t let go of your hand, and leads you to the entrance. The receptionist straightens as she approaches.

“Reservation for 2, under Lucius.” The man flips through his book, and nods.

“Right this way.” The insides of the restaurant are just as gaudy and expensive looking as the outside. They’re having subdued conversation with each other, accented by the sounds of silverware clinking against china. The receptionist leads you to a room, it’s entrance is flanked by a pair of suit clad guards. You can spy weapons hidden under their clothing, are they submachineguns? There’s no way. The carny throws open the door, revealing a single table with two chairs. She sits opposite from the door, and you take the seat opposite her’s. You open your mouth to speak, but she cuts you off before you can.

“Wha-”

“So what do you think? Pretty slick, huh?” You nod dumbly at her.

“Yeah. Sorry, things are going by so quickly, I don’t think I got your name.” She buries her nose in a menu as she speaks.

“Alma. Alma Lucius. And you’re Victoria Jones, right?” That’s not exactly true. Wait, how did she figure out your alias.

How do you respond to her?

Last time on NEQ, you put Kazimera to sleep, talked a little, beat the shit out of Karkmann, learned that you get stronger the more people you eat, captured two conscripts, turned Comrade Pig into a lycanthropic pig, and told your family to give you belly rubs, and learned that lycanthropes can't bear children.

You woke up late in the morning, exhausted of course. Dealing with your family might be fun, but you do have to hide a few things. Such as your consumption of human flesh, two locked up conscripts in the dungeon, and keeping Ivanka from eating anyone, is a full time job.

Of course, Ivanka lays next to you, drooling in her sleep. She's so adorable when she does that.

However, you have to get out of bed, since you have a job to do. So, you get out of it, open the door, and head down the staircase to the study. That's when you spot your mom who says hello to you.

"Hey mom."

"Stojan. How is your father doing?"

"Oh... Well, he's concerned about my wife."

"Ah. He's always been that way."

"Yeah."

"Anyways, I got a letter from a friend of yours, apparently someone called Borovik."

"Borovik?"

"Yes. If you want, here is the letter.

Welcome to Starborn Quest. You are Purps.

Apparently you're a rarity in this world; a Starborn able to fight but unaligned in the ongoing struggle between The Republic and The Rebels. Which, while it's nice to be special is a bit of a drag considering you don't know your name, home, date of birth or have any memories at all besides one about climbing a tree.

You've also realzied you're emotionally crippled. Having only two real emotions available to you CURIOSITY and after a dance off you have developed PRIDE. Despite your weirdness you've agreed to be a bodyguard for some old man who was getting attacked by Rebels in exchange for food and cigarettes.

You also crashed the Festival of Fire and ended up in a dance off in your pursuit of food. Apparently you can dance if you want to. After escaping the clutches of a !German guard who you have been in the company of, you decided to call it a very strange day... But now you're awake and you;

Hello, all! This is Bene meitas, a quest about being entrapped in an inescapable game show hellhole! You will be given multiple challenges in which you must complete and puzzles to solve. I also will use dice! Now before we can truly begin you must know that the game show only takes up to ten people! (This means that once that cap is filled the other people joining the forum can choose their favorite charter and team up with the other people playing that character. Due to this being a role play though make sure you choose the charter that best fits how you want to play!
Also if a character dies that's it! He/she will be dead. Period. Now I need the first ten people who join this to create ten charter sheets.

Favorite animal (If someone picks yours choose a different one.)

Favorite Number (Out of ten.)
Also, include a character description.

I will mostly update between 1:00PM and 11:00PM.

Last time on SGF, we beat a guard with milk, infiltrated the disposal facility, got curved by one of our mission staff and now we're in a firefight with the guards.

Time around you seems to slow to a halt over the symphony of gunfire and the accompanying orchestra of the alarm. The only way you'll be able to get out of the room is if you make a run for the elevator and hold your ground. Or, there may be another exit on this floor. Whatever the case, you'll need to make your decision fast. As you think, your bones still ache from your injuries. Maybe that milk you got might help?

Wealth: Tribute, battles, or production.

Food: 1 population consumes 1 food. Run out, and people start to die, and thieves appear.

Resources: Necessary to build town/defense upgrades, or to train soldiers.

Slaves: Each slaves consumes .5 food/turn, and produces .2 units/turn. May be allocated to gather food or resources. If food runs out, slave rations will be cut first. 5 slaves will die each turn food remains negative. Orcs may cannibalize their slaves, providing +2 food/corpse. When all other sources of food run out, our population will begin to die.

Soldiers: A barracks is required to train soldiers, and is the first structure built under A (see below). Soldiers require resources and wealth to be trained

A: Improve town (Structures that aid our tribe's advancement. Requires 10 resources and 5 wealth to choose this option)
B: Improve Defenses (There is a linear improvement scale. Requires 10 resources and 5 wealth to choose this option)
C: Improve Armor
D: Improve Weaponry
E: Improve Technology (Specify Domestic or War)
F: Forage (25-100 food will be gathered)
G: Explore (N, S, E, W) (New areas will be discovered, holding enemies, allies, great forests, caverns, etc. Adventure is out there!)
H: Improve Tools (Increases slaves' productivity)

B1: Train soldiers: (Specify unit type and number)

Random events will occur ever 2 turns, based on a random number generator. The number given will correspond to an event. Some numbers mean no event, some are a nice help, some start side-quests, some turn the world up-side-down, you get the idea.

Battles take place from time to time, using a turn-based combat system. Each unit has ATK/DEF stats, which can be improved via the C, D, and E options. Be warned: our tribe is capable of being slaughtered, which ends the game.

If trips are rolled, a very special event will occur (only once per number).
