“…Lucky? What did you do?” they both turn to you.

“It’s a long story,” you explain. Well, not really.

Aima says, “He sounds familiar,” regarding Kae’s voice, her feet kicking for footing as she climbs out.

Shutting the door, you take one last glance inside before you notice what’s wrong; once closed, you find yourself unable to draw any of the magic inside. The fact that you found your chamber, by detecting your own magic no less, means only one thing. It’s exposed.

Orion leaps into the air, pushing herself up and onto the ground in a fluid motion. She lowers her hand, which you accept, and pulls you up without a sweat. There’s a glimmer of excitement in her eyes as she half-runs inside.

“Let’s go,” she says.

You take a second to take in the situation. In the backyard three stone walls, matching the one “fixing” the house, separate the grass and the sheer cliff beyond. There’s only one way to here by foot, and it’s past an incline, the road surrounded by flowerbeds of baneweed.

Ahead, Aima interrupts your thoughts, “Really, what did you do?”

“I’ve committed the grave crime of being undead,” you say.

“…Huh?”

“That’s how it is. I’m sure Orion can clear things right up.”

By disposing of them all underground that is.

>Lure Aima to stay in the backyard.
>Have her greet Kae.
>Go meet up with Orion.

You will your Besant organ to accept Rook's calls...

"Doc! Doc!" You hear his voice pound in your head. "You finally picked up! Is everything okay?"

"First thing first. My name. My full name."

"Wha? Hey, that's not important right now. Listen, I've been trying to get in touch with you or hours. I bet there's a jammer nearby, probably from the rebels. Do you remember those assholes? They're still around. The only good thing about them is that we know they aren't siding with the Mats in this war, but they aren't our friends. If you see them run like you would from a Mats."

C'Mell smirks as she listens in.

"Hold on Rook. My name. Tell me my name."

"Didn't I tell you that you were Dr. Shirow?"

"The FULL name. Now."

C'Mell frowns. "I thought you said you were Yuki?"

"Not now, not now!" You wave her away.

"Okay okay geeze. It's not exactly important right now but your name is Akari Shirow."

Akari...Akari...well, it doesn't feel like the wrong name at least.

"Akari Shirow..." You repeat to yourself. You thought knowing your full name would have triggered a memory. But...nothing.

"You still there Doc?"

"Yeah..."

"Look, we figured out the Mats are doing something in Tokyo. Something big. They're starting to move the bulk of their forces to the city and we have no idea how its going to play out. We're afraid they're going to go very loud. We're afraid our whole thing isn't going to be a secret much longer. And we don't know why they're doing it. All we know is that they're moving in mass to Tokyo and we need to get there to stop them from doing whatever it is they're doing. Look I know life has been a series of horrible surprises so far but we need you to get to Tokyo as soon as possible. We never had many Manus in Japan and we need your power if we're going to stop whatever it is the Mats have planned."

C'Mell flashes you a mischievous smile. You think she's about to broadcast something on the Besant for Rook to hear...

(Hello all! I didn't like the rules a setup for the last quest I posted, I wanted to delete it but couldn't figure out how. Anyways, now I will be resetting it with a much simpler style. You will play as Eurgo.)

"You are a college student and just turned nineteen. One day, while laying on a couch at your dorm, you checked your phone and saw a text message from one of your closest friends, Ramses. Inside was an invitation to a simulated escape game dubbed Torikku. You always wanted to go to one! With the popularity of puzzle escape games on the rise the fact that companies were now going out of their way to make simulations of them completely astounded you, You thought it was a niche market but it most have been a lot more popular than you gave it credit. The invitation gave you a date,November 22; a time, seven-forty; and an address. You decided to go by yourself and video record the experience to prove just how brave you are to all your friends, right? When you reached the address nothing was there. Not a building nor attraction in sight. Looking around you didn't pay attention to your surroundings! Let me guess? You didn't figure that maybe it was a bad idea going into a dark alley all by yourself! Boy, are you an idiot! Hee hee! Hahaha!"

(Did that catch you off guard? It should have! Anyways. if you didn't catch on things with parenthesis are the narrator, everything else is in the quest! Make sure you know how to separate the two ! Also if that didn't catch you off guard! Kudos, good for you!)

"Anyways, welcome to the game! My name is Cervos! But from now on you will call me the Narrator. I will be the one keeping tabs on our little story! And what a absolutely amazing game it shall be!"

A screen stands before you. On it seems to be a animated character designed as a stuff toy. It looks like the person who made it didn't know animal features mixed a rabbit, deer, and otter all into one. Its colored a light blueish tin which seems to be stained at certain intersecting limbs. It's left eye hangs out of what could be called an eye socket. Despite this it still could be perceived as rather adorable. The eye moves around if to look around the room you are in and then makes eye contact with you once more. It puts it's hands together.

So what is your game show name, Cervo says becoming astatic waiting for your response.

(This is what a like to call a CHOICE SEGMENT! In choice segments the people of this lovely little site called 4-chan get to decide how to respond! It always helps to label the responses! For example if I decided to put a choice like, "I will call myself billy bob", I would put an A at the start. That way anyone else wanting that choice can just put A and skip typing it all out! Anyways this is your first choice! Good Luck! Also by the by, if you wanna post pictures to express your feelings, go ahead, feelings are important!)

Hello! Welcome to Magical Girl For Hire Quest!

You are Miranda Styles, a relatively unscrupulous magical girl currently working for Silver Eye Solutions, a umbrella corporation for magical girl mercenaries such as yourself, located in scenic The Intersection, a dimensional nowhere and everywhere where you rest and get details for your next job. Currently, you're gearing up for your latest gig- traveling to a swords and sorcery dimension and helping a shadowy group known as The Knights of the New Moon gain victory over the Kingdom of Alban and the Horinth Empire, who are currently at war with each other.

At a guess, I'd estimate we'd be best on this mission having other people perceive us as fucking terrifying (fuckhigh Intimidation, and secondarily high Otherworldly), but not unreasonable (low Hothead), so we can be used as an effective threat against enemies without actually getting into unnecessary fights.

Being easily noticeable (low Plainness) will probably also help, as will being taken seriously (low Humor).

We're already not very plain, and not very humorous, but we're somewhat hotheaded and pretty worldly. We're decently intimidating.

As such, bearing in mind the items we already have taking up slots (our jacket and necklace), I suggest we buy:
>Glowing Headband (3 motes)
and possibly
>Noble's Cape (4 motes)

Speaking of our stats, you might want to paste them in from the last thread so they're easy to reference.

The sun has crept slowly over the horizon and you're pretty sure that the LSD is wearing off. You aren't getting strange vibes from the cars passing by anymore, you can admit that the street signs aren't all actually part of a conspiracy to make certain that you don't find the headquarters of your local water district council, and you're pretty sure that the Shah of Iran didn't send that pizza guy earlier. So yes, the LSD is wearing off.

Jumping off of the roof of the random car, you look down at your shirt. Chinese dragons done in white on a blue shirt. During the trip you were certain that they were chasing one another out of the corner of your eye. The silk is stained with sweat, and you contemplate what you must smell like. Not like it matters at this time of morning, everyone is either getting off the night shift or just getting up. Nobody will care if you're a little weird. Probably. Who knows?

Staggering back between the rows of shitty apartments, you realize that you are, in fact, very, very thirsty. Tilting your sunglasses, you look around the street. You could walk back to the apartment complex that you initially wandered out of, or you could walk to a store. They are equidistant.

>Go to the store to get overpriced bottled water.
>Shitty tap water is fine. Probably.
>Find a nice fire hydrant somewhere and open it.
>Knock on a random door at six in the morning and ask for water.

Your protagonists will die, permanently, but fear not! Before each hero embarks on their quest to free the land from evil, they marry and have children, ensuring their bloodline will not die with them, and providing the next intrepid adventurer to follow in the footsteps of their ancestors when they come of age.

Unfortunate and stupid heroes might face insta-kills, unwinnable situations, and general doom. The best and brightest will slowly progress through the dungeon, but will still likely face their inevitable death.

No one hero will beat the dungeon, only by building up a strong family of heroes, investing in your hometown/stronghold to acquire better resources, passing down knowledge, wealth, and loot.

Last time on legacy quest: >>497341
>Willow (our current hero) has just stumbled into our first boss fight, while raiding a smugglers den.
>The apparently corrupt Sergeant Enrovic has just revealed where his true loyalties lie, and dashed to the side of Fix, the greatsword wielding leader of the Sons of Stone. I bet you wish you'd cut his throat when you had the chance!
>For new players/forgetful veterans, this is all to recover some items that will grant you access to Hightown, the Administrator (who you've agreed to arrest), and the portal that leads further into the dungeon.

Now, I know this isn't peak time for /qst/, but what the hell? Adventure waits for no anon! Three bumps and we're off!

Enrovic betrayed you! Fortunately thanks to the last roll in the previous thread , you manage to literally stab him in the back (as revenge for him metaphorically doing the same to you).

Greetings, paladins! This is the start of what will hopefully be a long and entertaining quest based on Voltron: Legendary Defender. In this CYOA, you will all be fulfilling the role of an as-of-yet unnamed character, who will hopefully be able to offer his services to the paladins of Voltron.

Here's how the quest will work. I will make a greentext post, and the end of each post will prompt you on how to choose where the story will go next. If a post ends in a character asking you a question, that's your cue to respond with a written answer. If a post ends in a list of pre-determined responses or actions, you must choose one. Posts will be chosen based on dubs, popular vote, and my own discretion. If there a dispute about a choice made, I can redo, but keep in mind, I'm not going to go back simply because you don't approve of where the story is headed. It's impossible to please everyone.

With that said, let us begin this journey!

You came back...!

A voice from your dreams stirs you awake, with a pounding headache to accompany it. You wince, feeling shards of glass slip from your clothes as you gingerly tried to rise and reluctantly pry open your crimson eyes in an attempt to find out where you are.

You are Irue Valen, blood heir to House Valen, and the last thing you remember was the scream caught in your throat as a wooden golem bearing your own smiling face had left a shattered window in its wake. Whatever had transpired after that, it seems you had been left alone in this darkness... A fact which still surprises you, as memories that weren't your own tried to reconcile the inability to simply see through the darkness.

Shaking those foreign memories away, you blindly brush your hands out and over the smooth stone flooring; Cool to the touch and familiar, it served to inform you that whatever series of events had led you to this point had also left you inside of your house... A house which seemed far less welcoming to you than it had when you left. Vines and roots snaked across every surface you found as you stumbled to your feet, finding lumps of wooden knots and humps occasionally bulging out with every couple of steps.

You strained to hear something in the darkness, some sign of Priat or Mim, but found nothing except the quiet rustling of leaves to greet you. If you focused on it for too long, you could almost make out laughter.

Regardless, it seems you were well alone for now. While you had planned to come and reclaim your house, it seemed like you had stumbled into something more than you had wanted to deal with. At the very least, this was a place you had lived nearly every day of the last ten years in; It wasn't as if you were going to be lost. The fact there was still glass on you when you awoke was a good sign you hadn't ended up very far from the window you were pulled through, which meant you had a general idea of where in the house you were.

...Of course, you could have a better sense if you took a moment to spin a web.

>The Crashing of a Beloved Disney Film that serves as a love-letter to Video Games continues as led by a God Tier GM.

About the Movie Crashing Quest: This Series of Quests asks the question, what if you could play along in a movie like an RPG then ruin it for the fun of it or maybe if someone would send a character or anything else to another movie and crash it in here and the hilarity ensues. The idea is like Film Reroll but with extra spice in it.

>Now, it’s time to continue the story where we have left off with Ralph first meets Vanellope von Schweetz.

You climbed the pile to the top to get your way
to get your medal. But while you were climbing, you saw a girl sitting on one of the branches.

"What are you doing here, stranger?" Vanellope said.

You told her that you were climbing on the pile to get your medal.

"Did you mean a coin?" Vanellope replied.

“It looks like a big coin.” You said to her.

Vanellope, would you respond to her question?

If you had responded, the other player, playing as Ralph, will reply to your response.

A reminder here: Again, this Multi-Response event will last 5 turns until The GM makes a response, so you have to make your first turn and then the other player would make its second turn and back to you on the third. When the event is over, the GM responds and continues the story when all of the Multi-Response turns are gone. The next event will come back later on with the 10 Multi-Response turns.

"Pain reaches the heart with electrical speed, but truth moves to the heart as slowly as a glacier." ~ Barbara Kingsolverl

You are... Well, to be honest, you don't really know anymore. You're mind is full of enough conflicting information and contradicting ideas that frankly, you can't say "Hello, I'm XYZ. Nice to meet you" to someone with any kind of confidence. What's real in your mind is that for the last week, you've been licking your wounds in a warehouse that doubles as an illicit hospital for the criminal elements of South Town (Or anybody that can't afford an HMO). How you got your injuries you can't tell (Which is ironic, because you can recall most of everything that happened leading up to the hospital visit itself), but your recovery's been better than any of the doctors expected.

First the IV came out of your arm. Then the smaller bandages. Within 3 days, you were up walking around a little bit though your balance wasn't 100%. Then the biggest bandages were replaced and yesterday, you were almost back to where you were and felt far stronger than you had before.

Today though... Today, you finally get to go home. Now if only you could remember where that is. Or your name, now that you think about it... That must've been a nasty concussion or something, because all you can think of when you try to recall your true identity (You had no ID or photos in your wallet, just lots of cash) are hazy visions of some caped, masked man running down the side of a building, or the same figure beating up some Ninjas in back alleyway shouting something about roses, or yet again the same dashing young man partying with some "Karate Hobos" around a campfire in an abandoned housing complex...

"Wait, what's a "Karate Hobo" again?" you think as you sign through a few forms disavowing your knowledge of this place, then privately change into a set of clothes somebody who knows more about your personality than you left in your care a few days ago (80's-inspired Calvin Kline Bra & Panties set, T-Shirt, Jeans, socks and some Boots) and head out into the sunlight and fresh air for the first time in almost a working week... And it almost makes you want to vomit. "Goddamn, it fucking smells out'ere..."

>A. You're... Katja? No wait, was it Katherine? Something with a "K" at least.

>B. It doesn't matter who you are. What's most important is the here and now of being alive with a good bill of health.

>C.Eh, it'll all come back to you in time. You're more concerned about your stomach growling back at you.

>D. Write-In Vote

>E. Roll 1d20 to try and get a better recollection of what all of those visions meant, or represent. (Only the first three rolls will be counted)

This is the account of the Fifth Age of Middle Earth. This is a record of the battles, the leaders, and the general goings on of the Great Races of Middle Earth. It has been said that time and tide make fools of us all. As a Noldorin, I am hampered by the bias of eternal hindsight. As such, I will always be displeased with the record keeping of so many disparate events. Nonetheless, I will endeavor to make this an accurate retelling of the Race Wars of the Fifth Age of Middle Earth.

The Races

The Great Races of Middle Earth in the 5th age were the Elves, the Dwarves, the Races of Men, the Orcs, and the Hobbits. There was some deviation within the races, and oft times these Kindred Races were given over to warfare and disagreement.

Elves

There were three tribes of Elves: the Celebrimbori, the Cirdani, and the Sindar.

The Celebrimbori were Noldorin and had their Kingdom in Lothlorien and Northern Rohan. Like all Elves, they had a very high opinion of themselves. Their craftsmanship was unparalleled and their armies were fierce and tall.

In the Far West the Cirdani, cousins of the Noldor, dominated the Northwest Coast. Though generally peaceful, they were not a race to be trifled with. The only other race that came close to matching their abilities were the Dol Amrothi of Southwest Gondor.

In the North of Mirkwood lay the Kingdom of the Sindar. Though lesser than their distant cousins, the Sindar were still proud and capable in fighting. Their woodcraft was unmatched even by the crafty Noldor.

Dwarves

There were two tribes of Dwarves: the Danelings and the Thorinlings.

Men

There were six tribes of Men: the Bardings, the Easterlings, the Rohirrim, the Gondorians, the Dol Amrothi, and the Harradrim.

Orcs

There were two tribes of Orcs: the Goblins and the Uruk-hai.

Hobbits

There was only one tribe of Hobbits, as Hobbits see no deviations of Race amongst themselves.

The Histories

The Opening of the Fifth Age

At the dawning of the Fifth Age, Gondor was bereft of a King or an effective Stewart. The Rohirrim were little more than a leaderless band of horse raiders. The merchants of Dol Amroth had quietly grown to become as powerful as their kin in the other lands of Middle Earth.
Of the lower Races of Men, the Easterlings had grown the strongest as the Haradrim had a massive desert to contend with. The rule of Hamad I was marked by massive expansion into the West. Uncontested by Elves or Men, their only real potential foe were the Dwarven Tribes. Though more than capable on the open plains, the Easterlings would be hard pressed to contend with a united front from the Dwarves. But a rift between the Danelings and the Thorinlings gave them the opportunity to march deep into Rhovanion, further than they had ever gone before. Concurrently, they pushed into Mordor while the Uruk-hai were busy pushing into Gondor under the reign of Sauron the Lesser. The Uruks took Osgiliath and Minas Tirith before Sauron the Lesser disappeared. The Noldor, seeing a land bereft of a Race of Mastery, began an Eastward expansion in an attempt to bring Rhovanion and Northern Rohan to heel. They went as far as to expand into the frontiers of East Eriador. In Lindon, the Cirdani expanded along the coast. The Hobbits, under the leadership of Lucius the Blessed, expanded their control through much of Central and Northern Eriador, pushing as far North as the lands of the Goblins. In Northern Rhovanian and Enedwaith, the Thorinlings spread unchecked, making war on the Bardings, the Sindar, and even their Daneling kin. At the end of their bloody conquest, their holdings stretched from the Northern Misty Mountains to the Iron Hills and South to the Mirkwood Road. After 120 years of sporadic conflict, the Noldor and the Thorinlings had emerged as the strongest races, though the Easterlings controlled massive amounts of territory in the Far East. The Haradrim spread unchecked in the South and created a salient in the extreme South of Gondor.

Stubbornfag from the old bread here. Thanks for your offer, I'll be considering it.

I didn't know we had that many androids, let's run a diagnostic on the sleeping ones.
Do a quick analysis on the bastard once out of Sorenson. Determine whether its brother/mother/uncledaughter in Alpha would survive lithobraking.
Is the medbay equipped to chop, liquefy, destroy, and obliterate the motherlover once out of Sorenson? Maybe the droid isn't that necessary for this.
How's Alpha evolving? Has the bug we left there popped up anywhere? Can we infer its position with our new powers?
We have ascended into Waits, have we?
Can we run a more detailed scan on the derelict?

If it's too many commands at once, let's start a queue with them.
