My pet rabbit just died. I know people get their pets stuffed by taxidermists so I figured I should be able to turn it into a hat or gloves or something. I don't want to do any of the dirty work myself for obvious reasons. Does anyone know how to find services to process the animal into clothing? Is this even legal? My google fu is not strong enough to find useful results. Posting from Rhode Island btw.

Is be shocked if one rabbit were enough for what you want
>>1030466
Thanks for the response. Was thinking maybe a trapper hat. Seems like she has enough fur.
Why don't you eat your rabbit?
That's what I'd do.
What's wrong bro? Don't you like listening to music while you hike?
Don't want to be unaware of any ambushes
I'm not a retarded, snowflake, millennial with ADHD, so I don't need to be constantly coddled by a musical security blanket

Yeee boi, always keep dat bluetooth handy
Opinions on preppers? Kinda seem like most of them wished society would collapse instead of just preparing for it, so they could live their post-apocalypse fantasy
>>1029249
Prepping for anything more than a natural disaster is pure autism
>>1029250
I agree, though I will say I don't think it's stupid to "prep" for a bad day.
IE keep yourself in shape, carry a decent knife or tool, wear decent shoes, that sort of thing. I just try to keep in mind "what if I have to make my way home with no car or phone?" and plan from there.
Yes, this is something I have to point out, because very few people really stay in shape
I live in a country that each 10 or 15 years experiments social unrest with crime overflowing streets.
I don't think it's that stupid really.
Just got this biolite cookstove, gonna take it on my next trip. Bought the kettle too, its pretty fucking shiny.
>>1028978
Is it too late to get your money back?
>>1028980
I needed a stove, whats wrong with it :(
>>1028991
nothing's wrong with it anon. haters gon' hater is all.
Thinking of picking this up, mostly for fishing and dinking around on lakes and such. Thoughts?

yeah man, a cheap inflatable kayak around a bunch of hooks n shit. should work out fine.
I bought one recently, I've only taken it out once, but for the price it's totally worth it. I would only recommend it on calm lakes and shit. It's not as fast or stable as more expensive kayaks, but it's also a fraction of the price of anything else. Probably not the best for fishing.
Go for it, kayaking is super fun.
>>1028200
Save up a bit and get a used kayak. A real one.
Looking to buy a Rain Jacket and I was wondering what you guys wear? Right now I'm looking at the North Face's Apex flex Gtx and the Outdoor Research Foray if that helps. Thanks.
guy, The North face makes expensive stuff, not necsarily the best, or more durable.
I'd recomend Black Diamong Jackets, Arc´teryx, Helly Hansen, Salewa, etc.
Trust me on this.
Also get Gore-tex Pro, it'll be the lightest most efficient against rain.
Beeen up to 6400 meters last year to test out some gear and found my arc'teryx to be the best jacket I've ever had.
>>1027985
this was very helpful, I appreciate it
I have a silnilon jacket from Lightheart Gear. It doesn't breath at all, but it won't wet out and get shitty like breathable ones always do. It packs down to nothing, and weighs nothing.
I live in New Hampshire and the woods near my house are low elevation next to a stream and gets semi flooded every year, is it possible for me to make a path or should I go back to playing Minecraft? Parts are above flooding and boards are a possibility, family has house on Cape Cod and they have paths in marsh so IK it's possible, just don't know how do able it would be.
If you mean like an elevated wooden walkway then that is entirely possible, just a matter of how much money you are willing to spend. /diy/ would be a better place to get help building it though.

Where in NH, fellow Live Free or Dyer?
>>1027837
Here in florida. What they do is I think is use sorta like a galvanized fence post type steel tubing embedded into a concrete footing. For the first like 4 feet into the swamp. And the rest is treated lumber. Or fancy hardwood decking.
Now you can do this pretty easily if you're talking just a foot path. You just need some planks. Some cinder blocks actual fence post. And a few bags of concrete. You will need about 1 cinder block and 1 bag of concrete per "leg" support. You could skip the cinder blocks but then you would need to carry around some wooden forms per support leg. A drill with a boring bit that has the same diameter as the fence post. So you can create little channels into the wooden supports. Ill get you a pic related in a second.
Show me your caffeine vessels, /out/. I recently got my new favourite. I'm carving a kuksa right now, but I still think this is cooler.

I'm rockin' a 52oz Bubba Mug as of now, but that's for water. I'd probably die if I drank that much coffee.
Here's my coffee/tea goblet I had painted at the rainbow gathering in exchange for two cigarettes at the trade circle
>tfw this is as far as /out/ goes in your country.
>>1022391
Come to america.
>>1022446
Sure, I'd love to visit some of your renowned national parks and set up my tent somewhere (wild camping is illegal here, just like 'bout everywhere else in Europe) but it pains me greatly that I just can't go /out/ during the weekends.
>>1022391
I kinda feel you despite still having some decent /out/ here, much due to having sweet beaches. But there isn't anything closed to wilderness, I have hard time admitting it but I get a bit jealous when Americans, Canadians or Aussies post their trips middle fucking nowhere and their huge ass hiking trails.
Feel free to post tobaccos (no weed allowed), pipes, collections, pics of favorite combos for going /out/, pics of what you're doing with your pipe and any questions you might have.
Want to get into smoking pipes without spending too much cash?
Get a Missouri Meerschaum Legend corncob pipe and a pouch of either Prince Albert, Carter Hall or Half and Half tobacco, available at most drugstores.
Accessories needed: pipe, tobacco, lighter or matches, pipe cleaners, and either a regular old nail or a pipe tool (combination tamper, scoop, and small pick).
All of these together should run you less than $20.
Having trouble keeping your pipe lit? Pack it looser and smoke it slower than you think you need to, lightly tamping as needed when the smoke starts thinning out.
If you're still having trouble, try packing using the Frank Method, detailed here:

Don't let /pipe general/ turn into fishing and tackle.
Keep pipe smoking manley.

It all depends on your perspective, I guess.
I have no problem with the notion of getting comfy with an attractive girl, but to each his own.
What are some good /out/ related religions? I used to be Christian, but it all just felt too disconnected from this world. Are there any religions out there that are more based in nature and or worship nature? Thanks for any help.
Is believing in Bigfoot a religion?
>>1010106
Taoism maybe. Definitely anything Eastern. Christianity has a lot concerning the appreciation of nature, you just gotta look for it a lil
Isn't Shinto all about trees and shit?

>tfw you will never be a lone woodsman that heads west and marries into a tribe of Indians and lives out your life with your qt Indian wife watching your mixed babies play in the foothills of the Tetons
>>1028379
Why would you want to be a second-class citizen in a tribe of stone age nomads?
>>1028382
Depending on the tribe you could be a first class citizen in a society of patricarchial power and a settled, sovereign nation
>race mixing
Half breeds are nasty.
You can only out in one national park/forest for the rest of you life. Where do you pick and why
Somewhere in Siberia, because you actualy need to do sonething to survive.
>>1027092
But that wasn't the question bro
>>1027087
zion. the color of the rocks, the mixture of forest and desert colors and the scale make it so I'd never get bored.
Can we get a mushroom thread started since season is in.
I just went for a short walk in the woods. I didn't find too many, the conditions weren't quite right or they were but other foragers already cleaned the whole place.
What am I looking at here? I know that bottom left is some bolete which I saved tomorrow for breakfast, top left is Lactarius rubrilacteus also edible and bottom three are chantarelles.
I know that some of these in top center are of some Rusula species. Inc more pictures.
From the other side.
Also I feel something crawling on my ass, I have to check for ticks.
The green ones look like Russula aeruginea from top pic.
Also some different colored which I believe are also Russulas, whatever the heck that third thing is, a little bit of forest strawberries and yellow staining agaricus.
That concludes my little trip.
>>1025591
Nice strawberries, the ones here in the PNW only get the size of a pencil eraser but are quite tasty
