Hey /k/ how do you defend yourself from a knife attack? Yesterday in Germany a refugee/migrant stole a knife from a supermarket and killed person and left 4 more injured.

Why were people promoted so quickly back in the day? My grandfather joined the army in 1944 and servedwith the 2nd infantry division. By 1945 he was a sergeant. During the civil war there were cases of guys going from lieutenant to colonel in 4 years. Was the rank structure just less defined or something?

Prove me wrong.

-Start to show pitting in the bore ridiculously early into their lifespans
-They aren't as reliable as people think they are, some jam a lot
-USP45 grip is like a 2x4 and is just too big if your hands are merely medium sized

>HK P30 and VP9
-No option for a flat backstrap, you always have this weird podiatric hump digging into your palm as if you are wearing shoes with insoles designed to support high arches
-The four piece grip will always flex under your hand, which is unnerving
-W I D E

>Glock
-Trigger is uncomfortable
-Stock sights suck (add $90 to the cost of any new Glock purchase for night sights)
-BTTF issue with 9mm models may not have been fixed

>Beretta 92fs and PX4
-Slide-mounted safety/decocker is unintuitive, unergonomic and dangerous
-Unappealing designs that don't sell very well and seem like they're a year away from being discontinued

>Sig P-series
-Ergos are designed for large hands only, NO options for handlets
-Always going to be concerned about the alloy frames getting worn out if you don't have enough lube on the rails
-Balance in the hand tends to be shit across the board
-Recoil management is mediocre, especially for the weight of these guns. A comparable Glock or USP will always have noticeably less recoil.

-Reliability is spotty, lemons exist
-Fit and finish are spotty, need to inspect the gun in person so can't take advantage of online deals

>Browning Hi Power
-It uses a weird trigger transfer bar system that relies on spring tension to align all the parts and I do not trust it.
-The sights are kind of backwards, why does Browning hate three dot sights?

-Small parts breakage is commonplace. The only gun I ever had to throw out was a CZ 75 because the magazine catch spring retaining screw broke off in the frame and there was no way to get the stem out.

Explain to me why isn't the department of defense spending trillions of dollars on artificial intelligence research. This shit is more dangerous than nukes imo.
What would happen if china or russia got it first? Then all the nulear deterrents would be useless.
America had a manhattan project for nukes, so why not for AI?

Guys, I think /v/ and /k/ had a Russian baby.

Thoughts on this game? I preordered to get into closed beta and the keys are sent out next week. Retarded graphical fidelity, realistic handling/recoil, authentic location based body armor simulation, proper ballistics, gun collision (longer guns are clumsier indoors, shorter ones aren't), dynamic stances (no cover system, you hold a modifier and roll the mouse wheel to adjust how high or low you crouch/stand to maximize cover), jamming system based off weapon durability, best of all, super detailed gun customization. My gun nut boner is diamond hard. Plenty of raifus to be made.

Given that the technology is available and the moral considerations aren't an issue, what are the most practical body modifications that can help a rifleman fight, biological or otherwise?
A more efficient heart and bigger lungs are an obvious priority, as is a reinforced spine and joints and a thicker skull. Stronger perception would be a big help, especially the hearing and sight, an ability to see in low light would be a real game changer, and it's cut the carrying weight too. Maybe a stomach that can digest anything, neutralizing bacteria and other contaminants, so you can drink from puddles if you have to. Any other ideas?
