Alright /k/, this mess kit I have hasn't been maintained for a while, and that's obviously a problem. How do I clean the damn rust off and keep it off too? (I know steel wool should do wonders for it but anything I should use in conjunction?) And to ensure that this thread isn't entirely pointless and wasted, what mess kits do you use and recommend? Any around that are better than this old model that need to be known about?

brew coffee in it
the acids will remove rust
>>34700453
Other side is worse, inside is almost perfect though. Little to no rust.

Barkeeper's Friend and some elbow grease. Wear rubber gloves.
Any other Bren owners out there?
Absolutely in love with mine.

looks really nice! has it given you any issues?
Is the bottom of the grip open or plugged? I need to know this

It's a compartment
How useful is Range Officer certification?
>>34699918
Are you trying to get a job at a range?
>>34699918
For what purpose?
>>34700319
It would be better than my current job, although probably more just a hobby.
Why...
>>34699836
That's not a unusual price these days.
I went by cabelas today and everything was outrageous. Gen 3 glocks for 580 bucks. I hope they follow gander mountain and fuckin die
>>34699902
IIRC Bass Pro has been trying to buy them out.
What was the best pound-for-pound air force in WWII? Who punched above their weight? Who punched below?
>>34699829
The USAAF and US Navy punched above and below their weight. By the end of the war they were kicking toddlers.
>>34699829
This is almost a loaded question, because on one end you have the Luftwaffe with pilots like Erich Hartmann who racked up amazing kills but were expected to fly until they died, and on the other end they had insane issues with having good pilots in general by and after the mid point of the war...this makes appraising that organization as a whole, difficult, in spite of the off the charts k/d ratios they achieved at times.
Then you have Air Forces like the USAAF and the RAF that were good at training all pilots to have good general abilities, and shining stars were allowed to become trainers to teach new techniques to beginner pilots. I'd say the western allies were best at being generally pretty capable.
I can't really decide, but I think I'm leaning towards the RAF or USAAF. I won't even talk about the Red Army Air Force.

There is a point where this needs to stop and we've clearly passed it.
Just watched 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (yeah, I'm catching up on movies slowly). I was struck by just how much of a clueless prick the head CIA guy in charge of the compound was, as well as how unappreciative and condescending some of the other CIA employees were. Are company men really incompetent idiots, as suggested by many films and video games?
>>34699455
As i understand, some liberties were taken.
>>34699455
It's like you've never watched a movie about real events with a strong narrative bias, before.
Everyone the writer doesn't like is dumb and awful, the people who oppose them are heroic and awesome and perfect. The movie was propaganda, pure and simple.
>>34699473
>Everyone the writer doesn't like is dumb and awful
this doesnt preclude the cia from actually being dumb and awful
what's /k/ doing tonight?
and what's your nearest gun?
Night /k/ is pretty much defunct at this point, but that's okay.
I'm trying to find a glock 17 stl file that isn't stupidly complex to print. Plenty of 1 to 1, but I just basically want a solid model without all the guts.

Do any of you guys own this black dildo pistol? How bad is it?
>>34699294
$219
Well, better than most of the $250 market so far. I anticipate a recall when they discover the trigger always engages itself when pointing at unborn fetuses or something. The thing is massive so it isn't really competing with most of the 250 guns that are subcompact.
When Robert Nardelli, Cerberus Capital Management, and Freedom Group showed up and squeezed every penny they could out of the Remington name, there was nothing left but shit. Same thing happened with Bushmaster, but that wasn't an epic, legendary name like Remington.
Remington products are now garbage, and less than worthless.
A friend recently bough an 870, and the magazine spring follower shattered on his third round, and the end of the spring coil snagged a shell in the magazine tube, so he couldn't even unload his shotgun without tearing it apart.
Old Remington firearms are excellent, but you can only repair them with NOS, or gunsmith forged parts.

>>34699460
>>34699563
Friendly reminder that many Remington guns now use Tapco triggers and this as caused multiple deaths.
/k/ QUICK!
You're dropped into 13th Century Europe with an AR 15, 1500 rounds of ammunition and a standard Tier 1 operator loadout and a single goal in mind.
Size as much power as you can as fast as you can using only the skills and gear you possess
How far do you believe you can go? What could you achieve? YES you do have knowledge of all modern history and stuff you know, such as medical aid and so on.
Give her the ol bumpero
>>34699230
Realistically could you become a god and takeover the world with just a standard tier 1 kit and an ar with 1500 rounds
>>34699230

Hey /k/, just saw this on Armslist and I was wondering if it was a good deal. All the PSL prices seem all over and I was just wondering about this one, thoughts?
