I'm a cheapass so I don't have a gun to take with me when I go innawoods. I do have a longbow but it's way too bulky.
I'm gonna get a melee weapon to take with me. Should I go for a sword or a polearm like pic related?
a small axe and a walking stick would probably be the most practical tools
if anyone gives you shit start talking like an old timy prospector looking for gold. much better than a psycho carrying a sword.
Get a better education and job so you can afford a rifle that has a bayonet mount on it.
Bam. Done and done.
I could listen to this guy talk all day and not even shoot his guns. He's slowly beating Ian as my favorite.
Does /k/ like him?
>>34704740
>Does /k/ like him.
Does that matter?
I think hes pretty good, he has the credentials to talk on this and he isn't a washed up wannabe oper8r like some others. Like, hes out of the service but he is still in great physical shape. He's been in the situation of having to use his past and training to defend himself.
Hes almost an ideal.

He's not as great as I am, since I can buy a Glock 17 Gen 4 online for only $310.49. Praise me for my shopping skills. I am the deal master.

Is a Glock 42 a good carry gun? They're $349 shipped right now.
That's a pretty good deal. Pick it up.
>>34703554
Thanks, my man. Snagged a G17 Gen 4 for $310.49 a few weeks ago. Nice to see some of these glocks going cheaper. Really gotta hunt for the deals, though.

Hello /k/, I have a 14.5 ar pistol. In looking for an optic, I've decided on the Vortex strike eagle 1x6, or the Viper PST 1x4 also from Vortex. So I planned on getting the strike eagle until I saw this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kljDJi6IcaA
So can anybody tell me how they really compare as far as glass, field of view, eye relief, etc. Is the Viper worth the $150 more with 2x less magnification?
Any other suggestions in the price range? Regard the purpose as general SHTF innawoods tacicalness. Thanks.
If you get the Strike Eagle, get the 1-8. They greatly improved the quality of the glass from the 1-6. Plus you get an additional 2x magnification.
>>34695439
>14.5 ar pistol
Why man could have just gone 16" with plus velocity.
Burris is nice.
>>34695503
Got a BCM 14.5 light weight for a lot cheaper than the 16. Plus, with this brace, I can have a pretty much normal gun, and in the future change out different short uppers.
Safety procedures that should be done away with? Example: doing safety checks for Youtube.

Knowing what's behind your target is often impossible. Rules should NEVER be impossible to follow.

Fucking clearing bucket. Dumbest shit ever. Inb4 asshats who actually use it and try justifying having a fucking bucket of sand in their closet.
>>34695002
Clearing bucket makes sense you fucking moron. Do you want someone to die? Jesus fuck...
Holy crap this is genius. Why wasn't something like this invented throughout history to counter arrows?
what is it? boomerangs?
>>34691602
Because arrows fly too fast to be intercepted by those things. Also it'd be extremely slow to reload, and hard to get decent coverage for your troops.
>>34691602
Because better armor and better shields are way less retarded.
Also, most arrow kills are done at very short range anyway (less than 50m away).
The Ford successfully conducted it's first arrested landing and catapult launch of a F/A-18F Super Hornet yesterday afternoon. In addition, the Navy has rolled out a software fix for the issue causing excessive airframe stress on aircraft carrying external fuel tanks.

So the French have come through on the plan to replace the FAMAS and have started issuing HK416's to the regular army including the 13DBLE of the FFL.

Whys that?
>>34689571
I am left handed and it is one of the few bullpups that is 100% ambi, all the time. Also being a Burger French engineering is under appreciated here. Finally the way the FAMAS works is interesting.
Also I am aware the Steyr AUG has the capability to be left handed but requires a new lefty bolt from the armory/me to buy it in the civilian world. Also the civilian AUGs are only available in a left configuration in the "AUG mag" stock configuration and not the "NATO stock config."

How can chinks handle that their snazzy new boat would get BTFO by a USN ship over 30 years old?
>>34683640
Although you're shitposting, there are people on /k/ believe that the number of missiles on a ship is the sole factor in determining the worth of a warship.
To these people you may as well fill a container ship full of VLS and it would be a 'better' warship than the current traditional designs.
>>34683711
That'd be a lot of missle to be fair. Some container ships are massive.
>>34683711
> the number of missiles on a ship is the sole factor in determining the worth of a warship.
Boiled down it literally is. Assuming the same types of missiles are being fired, if two ships go head to head and unload on each other, the one with more missiles will always win. More ASMs, more close in defenses, more cruise missiles.
You might be able to knock out a granit with a single SM-2 but you'll definitely be able to knock it out with 8 ESSMs.
