So I work at a ship repair yard and since we have been getting more and more naval contracts come in the company has stated that we are going to be going armed. Our manager has asked us for any suggestions as he gets to put forward the request to the bosses for our particular site.
I'm planning on Suggesting the AUG A3 due to its compact size while keeping barrel length.
Is there any reason why this would not work well as a shipyard weapon?

I'm about to purchase my first firearm. I'm looking for an all around good 9mm. I am stuck between a cz 75 sp-01, glock 19, and browning hi power. Any recommendations besides those? Which one would you prefer between the three?

Also for contex I've shot a berretta 92fs but didn't find it all that special if that helps...I heard the only con from having the cz is the trigger assembly is pretty complex, I'm just worried about having to replace one of those pieces in the long run. That's the only reason I'm leaning more toward the glock.

I highly doubt you will be able to wear out the trigger on a CZ or a glock. They're both solid designs.
Pick them both up and handle them. Rent them at a range if you can. You really can't go wrong with either for your first gun, so just pick which one is more fun to shoot.

Just got done dealing with the police after having my apartment broken into. Was able to hear the guy fucking with my roommates window and within seconds I grabbed my 870, racked a round and kept the guy at gunpoint until the police arrived 45 seconds later. Living in Texas, I could have pulled the trigger but I didn't. Still calming down from the whole situation.

Hey guys, I picked up a Polish P-64 recently. Came soaked in oil. I cleaned it, took it to the range and worked like a champ. Today I took it back to the range and it was having some major feed issues. Same ammunition, haven't changed anything other than cleaned and oiled from the last firing.
Anyone have any ideas as to why I am getting this issue? If the recoil spring was put in backwards would that possibly cause an issue. Note, these are all factory issued parts I haven't replaced any of the workings of the gun.

Round feeds into the chamber, and you've got another half into the chamber preventing the slide from going into battery. If you rerack it and go, it expells the one in the chamber and loads the one causing the slide from moving forward

Battleships get shat on alot here as being obsolete. I agree that they are obsolete against modern ships and missiles. But why aren't they used as escorts for oil tankers and other valuable civilian ships in high piracy areas? They may not be able to compete with a modern destroyer, missile cruiser or aircraft carrier but they can damn well handle pirate vessels.
