I'm artist, I don't know what the difference between a double action and a break action is beyond the obvious bits.

So. Whats to say you couldn't make a double action revolver that can also open like a break action?

Would there be any problem beyond the little rotation screw?

>>
Let's clarify what you said since you say you don't know the diff. If this isn't what you mean about then please explain

Double action is when pulling the trigger both cocks and releases the hammer (single action only releases the hammer - it must be manually cocked)

Break action is a way the revolver opens. Pic related. As opposed to swing out cylinders or fixed cylinder.

>Break action is a way the revolver opens. Pic related. As opposed to swing out cylinders or fixed cylinder.
Yup. That's what i'm trying to say.

Is it possible for a revolver to do both? be a break action and swing-out.

Lurk more and try to not sound retarded the first time then. A revolver thats both a break action and swing-out is unnecessary and possibly useless or would just be a broken one.

in a world where people worked like ants for their government, world wars would just be known as regular ones and stuff like titans where no matter how many tracks you put on something so huge, only legs will get it somewhere

but lets just assume that's for robot overlords because humans can never be ants, lets just wait for skynet mmkay?

Walkers would make some sense if the world was completely bereft of mud and sand and instead most of the terrain featured stairs.

Hi /k/. I currently own a 1941 Savage made Lee Enfield No4 MK1* and I seem to be having a little problem. When I try to bring the bolt back to load the next bullet, it stops halfway back. I wanted to find out what was blocking its return. I notice that it's the trigger catch thats blocking the bolt. The only way for me to bring it back into position was to pull the trigger. Now i wanna ask, is this normal and if not, how do i fix the problem?

I've not had any such problem with my Fazakerley No 4, but I'm not sure if it's common. I am pretty sure it's not normal.

You said it's the trigger catch that's blocking it - do you mean the sear? Can you tell what it's catching on? I'm trying to figure out how that could prevent the bolt moving back, since the sear is rear-facing and really shouldn't catch on anything without a notch (e.g., the cocking piece).
>>
>>31057036
Yes, it is indeed the sear that's blocking the bolt from coming back into position.

>>31057097
And just so you know, the safety was off.

/g/ here. I'm getting my first rifle soon. It's going to be an M1A Socom 16. My friends like guns and have a lot, and have been getting me into it while I have been getting them into computers.

I plan to use it for range days (i guess that's what they call it?) and deer hunting with extended family.

Am I making a mistake by investing in this rifle? Will it last? Are they really as accurate and well built as everyone says?

It will last as long as you're willing to make it. Take care of it properly, and it will take care of you. Maybe you'll be able to hand it down to your kids.

idk on accuracy or quality, you could probably find a few reviews and breakdowns of it on googlechan

No, it's a very open action that lets shit in there to cause the weapon to malfunction, also it's no more accurate than anything else, and less inherently accurate than the AR design.
