They don't call Anti Material Rifles, Their Proper name anymore because their creators can't bear the shame that they cannot for fill their true role.
Until that day comes, you will never see a modern anit tank rifle.

Good, no one want's to carry that shit when we have anti-tank rockets galore that weigh much less.

>Anti Material Rifles
It's anti-materiel, POG.

Can't even penetrate my side armor, anon.
What are you good for?
>>31057415
That's because the progression in material science has been more of a boon for armoring than anti-armoring. That, and what can be called a renaissance of land vehicle design has not caused AMR's to fail their roll, but rather to change it.
They work well in their new roll. I know in the Canadian Military the MacMillan Tac-50 does excellent work against a wide range of light to medium armored vehicles (though I imagine said armored vehicles are often buhbba's technicals.) and the targeting of specific systems on more heavily armored targets.
Apparently the TAC-50 is also used on high value targets but seeing how effecting the C14 Timberwolf is at picking people off at distance using an AMR on a single super special target has a certain fuddlore feel I can't shake off.
PS If this was bait then shit, at least a few minutes of googling let me learn something

Trust me, it can penetrate cardboard just fine.

Because AT rifles have been replaces by man portable rockets.
Unless you want to lug around a 100mm cannon or something.
