Is this the greatest Kalashnikov variant of all time?

Yes.

I've heard such, but damn that stock is ghey
>>
>>31057515
It's light, plus the tube is hollow so you can store items in it

Nope. This is.
>>

I'd say RK95 is the slightly better one thanks to its easier to use rear diopter sight and gadget mounting options, but both the old and new RKs are pretty even now with the modernization project of RK62 and wide use of red-dot optics.

Galil are pretty sweet too, being carved using the same blueprints.

Personally, i can't wait for those plastoc stocks to be BTFO when someone accidentally smacks it onto a rock while jumping around in the snow, and the dumb fucks in FDF realize they just blew the entire budget on shit that looked tacticool.
>>
>>31057493
That's not how you say yhe Galil anon.

Only thing they share is the action

I just wish more RKs, or at least its civilian variant, was available for purchase. Fuck all of these importation laws!

It is nice that the RK cousin, Galil, is still somewhat obtainium, can be built, and ACE actually available for purchase, but...it's just not the same.
>>
>>31058270
Could have bought some galil stocks, but the gubment has a self destructive hatred against Israeli military products.

Valmet exported plenty of RKs to USA during Cold War, and they are almost easier to find over there than here in Finland.

The reason why they're so rare and priced nowadays is because none have been manufactured after early 1990s.

Lefties ruining it for everyone, as always.

SAKO is dead Jim. Only hunting rifles nao.

>tfw there will never be a new RK utilizing the recoil compensating angled receiver of JaTimatic.
>>
>>31058459
Figures, and my folks were too fuddy to consider any before I was born (born just before the 90s)

>>31058461
Well, at least it is survived by Galil.
>>
>>31058461
Actually SAKO was purchased by Beretta, and they try to push their plastic Italian shit to people, instead of reproducing superior Finnish steel.

Exactly my point. The gubberment sold the company to a rival company, and now they only manufacture hunting rifles.

I guess the AK12 is also not a Kalashnikov variant at all.

This. The RK62 with 95's stock would have been better.
>>
>>31057493
I really like the stock, it has this great utilitarian look thats perfect for the AK. The muzzle device and hansguard are cool as well.

Why don't other AKs have the increased sight radius? Why didn't that catch on?
>>
>>31058534
95 stock is shite though. Folding stock is a meme for the average mosa.

Also, there's a reason no-one has ever seen the fabled rifle grenades.

Look at the stock in slomo, and then imagine what it would do to a folding stock.
>>
>>31058548
>Why don't other AKs have the increased sight radius?
Galil? Polish Beryl? AK-12?
>>
>>31058381
>>31058461
M8s I need to tell you something about LV-241/141 radios, personal thermal camo nets, the spike atgms, the new UAVs etc.
They are all either made in Israel or Israeli products from the beginning.
>>
>>31057493
Yes, but the stock just needs something raised up for a cheek rest, and maybe have the shoulder rest bit be just a bit bigger for comfort and recoil handling.
>>
>>31058551
>>31058534

Lots of 95s had a pretty horrible wobble. Mine was so loose that I had to jam a casing in there to get it stable enough for range days.

The 62TP on the other hand seemed to have a pretty good folder. Very sturdy with zero wobble. Could be just the one I had though.
>>
>>31058548
>Why don't other AKs have the increased sight radius?
because most other AKs have wobbly as fuck dust cover that would not hold zero. RKs have very little room for play with their parts.

>>31058381
they've been putting the stocks of old and busted 95's on good condition 62s for a while now.
