Weird guns thread.
looks like the gun equivalent of those stupid credit card knives
>>31057430
It is.

nietsche was right god IS dead
http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2016/03/11/ideal-conceal-380-cell-phone-handgun/
>>31057512
i kinda like it actually. i wish more guns had clips or were designed to be inconspicuous as possible. I and im sure many others dont want to change parts of their wardrobe just to have a gun in their pants while people dont notice. its the only reason i own a pt738. the curve had pretty good reviews anyways didnt it?
>>31057512
I've always wondered why the trigger is shaped so goofy on those, it looks like a small hole to stick your finger through the trigger guard. Why can't it be shaped more normally?
>>31059463
i think its got a big trigger because it has no safety
>>31057512
looks pretty comfy for cc tbqh m8
>>31057424
It's a 2-shot .380 disguised as a smartphone. Now people will wonder why you have a smartphone in your back pocket and another smartphone in the other.
>>31057424
It's a cell phone.
>>31057512
I like it, and I've never been a taurus fan. It's purely designed for being a concealed, last resort, close range self defense weapon that you can tuck into your waistband and go with.
>>31059439
The pt738 is a good gun imo, even though taurus always gets shit on by people. The curve though is alright, you either like it or you dont
>>31060737
2 or even 3 phones aren't that crazy nowadays. Lots of business type people carry that many. Still weird, just not beyond belief.
>>31061240
I always wondered why bullpup isn't more popular. You get a lot more barrel length in a shorter and lighter weapon, so more powerful and easier to handle.
>>31059463
Stop shit from getting in the guard and sending .380 hollows into your body.
>>31061215
Wouldn't it be nice if Samsung and whatnot would stop removing multiple simcard slots from their western releases? I know this has nothing to do with guns but come on man.
>>31061215
This. I carry a second phone for my recreational commodities business.
>>31061184
why would they put the grip there
>>31061291
Hold it like a chainsaw, if you mean the one on the front.
>>31061264
shittier triggers, harder to use, awkward balance, generally slower to reload
>>31061291
Because fuck left-handed people.
>>31061264
-The triggers are generally terrible
-actual militaries like to stick a lot of things onto their guns. Thermal sights, ACOGs, PEQ boxes (infrared lasers to help aim while wearing NVGs) lights, grips, bipods, grenade launchers. Having the barrel sticking out the front like an M4 gives lots of space to attach things.
-difficult to reload while prone
There are other reasons. Basically, they are shorter and maybe lighter, but they aren't easier to use. There are benefits and drawbacks to each design, but seeing as how many Western militaries DO use bullpups they are pretty popular.
>>31057424
That is a two shot pistol that is supposed to fold up into an inconspicuous shape so that even the hipest of hipsters can carry a gun without printing.
Honestly, any system that gets more guns into more hands, even if it is a less than amazing system, is 100 percent fine in my book. I'd never carry it, but if a single one is sold to a single person who might not have bought a traditional firearm then it is doing good work.
>>31061378
Why the fuck would you want someone who has no idea about firearms to have a firearm? Do you want to get shot by some idiot who panicked because a car backfired?
>>31061351
I've never used one, but why are bullpup triggers bad?
>>31061468
I'm the guy who asked the original question and had some looking up and it seems to be because the mechanical link between the trigger and the hammer is more complicated and thus more prone to failure or wear over time.
>>31061436
not him but firearm owners are more likely to oppose bans, and owning a firearm teaches people about it. Not everyone can lurk /k/ for years before buying one
ooooh I got an old school captcha
>>31061479
makes sense, but triggers seem easily replaceable especially for a military
>>31061264
because bullpups are 'new' and 'weird' to the old people who are in charge of picking what weapons to adopt
>>31061264
>lighter
Actually they tend to be heavier compared to a rifle of the same cartridge, sight radius is shorter, their triggers are shit due to linkages, and they tend to be more expensive to produce.
>>31061479
The only additional part necessary for a bullpup trigger is the transfer bar from the trigger to the sear. Trigger assemblies generally are not high stress parts.
The reason bullpup triggers are bad is because of transfer bar having to run from the pistol grip to the rear of the action makes the trigger pull feel substantialially worse. There are designs that have gotten around this though the only one I can think of off the top of my head is the new production M17S.
>>31057512
Looks comfy tbqh, mang.
>>31057424
Does this remind anybody else of something they would make on "Sons of Guns?"
>>31061521
That has little to do with the concept of bullpup themselves and more about who is designing them. The F2000 without its "integrated" optic and a 16" barrel is .2 lbs heavier than a SCAR with a 14" barrel. Another good example would be the AUG and G36.
>>31057512
Good idea, poor execution

>Schutzstaffel magnum
>>31061184
What the everloving fuck
>>31059439
My understanding is that the problem with the Taurus Curve had more to do with Taurus than Curve.
Not TOO weird, but. Side-loaded RPK. I fucking love it.
>>31064252
i want
>>31057424
You know people shit on this but at the same time go "oh fucking cool" when they see those old time pocket watch guns and things like that. This is the same fucking thing but modern.
>>31061436
Are you actually retarded? Absolutely no one who is going to carry a gun will panic that bad. You literally sound as bad as soccer moms saying that shit. When have you ever heard of someone CCing doing that?
Shockingly people don't usually want to shoot others.
>>31061184
>>31061291
Because its a 20mm "Personal Assault Weapon"
>>31057424
HE DINDU NUFFIN IT WAS JUST A PHONE
>>31061741
I'm glad that nightmare is over.
>>31059439
All guns do have clips, anon. Some bargain guns even have an extra clip in the box.

If your dresses nice they'll probably just assume ones a business only number and the others your personal phone.
If you dress like a schmuk they'll just grumble about how millennial a are so shitty they need 2 smartphones to be obnoxious with.

Good. Left handed people are the spawn of Satan.
>>31061184
Many would say that the oppression of blacks in South Africa ended in 1994 with the abashment of Apartheid, but the oppression of left handed people has only just begun.
>>31066786
Hey neat, that was my joke. I left the thread before anyone replied regretting the fact that it would go to page 10 without getting any lulz.
>>31059439
The closest I found for sub $300 was a Tomcat 3032 .32 ACP. Very small, loud bark though.
But light enough to aim quickly and fits in average hands. Yes, it's a lady gut shooting gun, but just aim for the head . Still 4x more energy than a .22.
>>31069123
The fucking Italian police carried .32ACP until NATO 9 mm became the standard.
>>31069123
I've got one. I keep it in a suede nylon pocket holster and its basically invisible.
As for energy the 32 has 70 grains moving at ~750 f/s. I also have a Beretta 21A in 22LR and the stats have 36 grains at similar speeds. 32 is only about double the power of 22, but the center fire cartridge is far more reliable. They're both holyshitgetawayfromme guns.
