Since we're baiting, the Judge
/k/, I was recently assigned as the SAW gunner for my platoon. I've never fired the SAW before except in Basic. I wouldn't take the position that serious except for the fact that North Korea is getting more stupid by the day and since I'm stationed in South Korea, things could get out of hand at any time. So, with that being said, what should I get for my SAW, if anything at all? I was lucky enough to have mine issued with a vertical grip but that's about it. Thanks for the advice!

Do you want to hunt or to shoot ?
308 is less expensive and marginally more accurate.
30-06 handles heavier bullet better, which is practical for hunting because is makes for a wider range of loads in the same gun. Although this is now defeated for the most part by the progress of bullet technology and terminal ballistic.

Anyone here do any trap shooting? Post tips if you got 'em. Shot trap this morning for a personal best of 19/25 in a round. One thing I did learn is that it is annoying to stand to the right of someone with a semi-auto shotgun since I was literally being hit every other shot this lady took.

I have gotten single digit scores when trying to change up too much of my technique. I'd spend several hours reading and watching videos online b4 going to the range and then shoot 8/25. It sounds stupid but I shoot clays best when I turn off my brain and just "believe in myself". Interestingly this is similar for me to trying to play FPS games on the PC... think less and just let it happen.

If you really have an issue you can get Magpul AICS, Alpha Industries, or even Ruger polymer mags that all function exceptionally well.
To answer OP, yes it could be the one and only if it really came down to it. But if you were in active combat (pro tip you won't be) you would probably be better served with a semi auto platform.

Hey /k/ommandos,
So I've got the opportunity to get into a Kareen KA-MKIII Hi-Power Clone for under 3 bills (similar to pic related). I am very seriously considering it, but would like to get your feedback on it.
Do any of you have experience with this style of pistol/hi power clones in general?
I've done research on the gun, and apparently the MKI's were made in Hungary at the FEG plant, and the MKII-MKIII's are basically a Bulgarian Arcus 94 copy (possibly assembled in Israel from Bulgarian parts -not sure). But I find conflicting reports about this. Apparently they were developed as a more durable alternative to the FN Hi-Powers that wouldn't stand up to the overpressured SMG 9mm ammo that the Israelis were using in their Uzis. Is this bullshit? Does anyone have any more historical info on these guys?
In short - wtf is this thing, is it a decent gun, is it made in Bulgaria or Israel, should it buy it?

buy 20/30 round magazines get either a psop or a optic mount/optic of your choice. you can have a battle rifle with a thumbhole stock or get the $40 stock adapter to let it take standard ar furniture. also get a mussel device the thread protector can be removed relatively easily.
