Would love to shoot a little but unfortunately I'm in a non-gun shit hole.
I've got an air rifle I inherited from my dad at home that I can plink things with, but I think it's probably illegal, it's old as shit and it's so low powered a pigeon shrugged off a chest shot with it.
I don't want to be a faggot doing airsoft, so my option seems to be skeet shooting.
Any UK bros know how to get a gun fix here?

>I'm in a non-gun shit hole.
Hurrrr
Apply for you shotgun licence, then join a club and apply for your FAC.
>>31795874
You don't live in a no gun shithole and know nothing of living in such a place.
Try coming down here to WA in Australia if you want to see the meaning of no gun shithole.
1) Ask at a police station
2) Ask at a gun club
/k/ does not know about realistic gun ownership. Their constant, worthless advice is "move countries"
this is just for a physics question in my assignment but what is the bullet size and speed of a railgun
Google.com
>>31795771
kinda depends on what railgun it is
one on a ship might be shooting vw beetles at people
a tank might fire footballs at other guys
a man portable one might launch splinters
>>31795771
You must have confused this place with a search engine.
Fuck off.
Do people just forget about running or something?

Protection over mobility, anon.
Although it does seem a little backward, because I think an accurate burst of fire can kill a man even while wearing armour like this. Correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm a bit of a newfag.
Most designing takes place indoors, seated, so it's likely.
>>31795631
It's kinda hard to make an accurate burst of fire when you're a hundred meters away and an entire squad of soldiers are firing upon you.
Hey /k/, I have a friend who is kind of on the fence about firearms. He thinks if everybody in the US had one there'd be a lot more crime. I seemed to have lost my gun control/gun stats folder. Mind dumping some stuff on me?
I'm mainly looking for numbers. Stuff like how most gun deaths are suicides and stuff.
Well in the US, over 13000 people are killed by other people with guns. The total number of over 34000 deaths/year due to guns doesn't get any brighter with 21000 people killed/year from suicide with guns. It costs the US over 516 million dollars/year of hospital fees due to gun violence. Indeed, any gun owner who speaks of his deadly weapons as some range toy, some hunting tool, or a self defense weapon that they imply would use against a terrifying government does not speak for the rest of the otherwise peaceful population. Guns bring death simply because that is what they were designed to be used for.
>law enforcement and the military have guns so citizens should have guns as well!
The government owns weapons to counteract the weapons of evil men who endanger the lives of people and shake the stability of society.
>guns don't kill people. people kill people
....with guns
>a good guy with a gun...
Is a good guy until he becomes a bad guy with a gun. Who stops his rampage other than uniformed government enforcers?
In an ideal society, nobody would need weapons.

Please add +1 to the yearly suicide rate
Looking for a double stack DA/SA subcompact and I ruled out pretty much everything but this. Does anyone have one? What are your thoughts on it?
I have the full size, but due to the lack of the rotating barrel on the sub-compact they are pretty different from a mechanical perspective.
I can tell you that I really like my full size one.
>>31795520
Slide mounted safety kills it for me. Otherwise this gun would be awesome.
>>31795585
My Storm was the first gun I ever had with a slide mounted safety. I will admit, it took some getting used to but now it's second nature, I'd say no worse then any other safety.
Anyone who says they accidently engage or disengage the safety is a fool. It's located way, way too high to accidently toggle it if your trying to grip it. Never once have I come close to accidently toggling it.
What was the best type of combination of armor during the middle ages?
I for one think it was Gambeson, hauberk, and cuir bouilli. With splinted Greaves and vambrace and a full helm.
Pic some-what related

>middle ages
very vague term mate. and I disagree. a german gothic field harness would be 30kg and would cover every part of your body in plate.
A longbow with your longbow buddies.

Beautiful. Anymore?
Post em boys.
why is your company/item/etc so great?
Condor cucks all other Knives, how can cold steel ever compete?
>>31795427
I like the Crotalus and it was on my maybe list but I actually went with a CS instead. I do want to get either a Condor Kephart or Sapiens though.
Glock makes the most based handgun you'll ever need.

Benchmade makes it better.
Califag nogunz here. Have $1200 to spend on disaster prep. What should I buy?
Goals: (1) survive WWIII -- war with Russia at the same time as a dollar collapse and open borders with Mexico. (2) ensure my friends -- a few nogunz dudes -- also survive.
My plan:
> Go to my local gun shop (run by crusty hunters) and buy a used ranch rifle that shoots 5.56. Pick it up after Cali-mandated waiting period, with Cali-mandated trigger lock.
> Also sign up for a gun safety course
> Also buy 420 rounds (1 box) of 5.56 FMJ.
> Also buy six 5-gallon water jugs. Fill these and store these.
> Also buy a bunch of oats, powdered milk, and dried fruit to last 60 days, plus some antibiotic drugs.
Is this enough?
Realistically in any sort of long-term crisis I'd probably be drafted into a support role, since I have useful skills, so I probably shouldn't worry too much...
And survival depends mostly on having social connections, so I should probably quit being such a goddamn basement dweller when not at work...
Anyway...how does that sound?
> tl;dr: rate my prepper build for $1200k
> ranch rifle
> ammo
> month of water and food.
I'd invest in a healthy amount of methamphetamines as well. Shit's useful.
>>31795358
u trolling me bro? I'm too middle-class for that shit.
>Survive WW3
Have a good night guys I'm heading to bed.
is this a shit job? one of the few people hiring in my shit town
>>31795190
Essentially sitting on your ass all day "hurry up and waiting" If you have a cunt of a driver or any of the crew it'll be hell on earth.
>>31795190
You're basically an armed delivery man.
Worked at Starbucks for a few months and I got to talking with those guys sometimes.
He said it was always uneventful. He just showed up, manager got the money, sing some shit and move on.
>>31795190
my uncle used to do it, he said its was really shitty. not just because when he did it there was always an incident or two a year of a car getting targeted and getting shot at but just because of the abuse itll have on your body
/k/ whats better
The Longsword or the Weaboo trash sword AKA the Katana.
>>31795181
it's a sharp stick. who cares.
that said katanas I found are cheaper. supply and demand probably.
Depends 100% on the person that's using it.
>>31795181
The longsword. Two edges yield more options in a fight, and it's monotempered, making the entire blade hard where as a katana has a soft spine to prevent it from shattering, but making it very prone to bending. Basically, the longsword is a bit more reliable.
How does /k/ feel about those who call soldiers murderers, welfare queens, terrorists, etc?
they have a point

Neverserveds

They're fake and gay
What does /k/ bring when hiking and camping?
My grandpa gave me this .357 S&W highway patrolman about 10 years ago as a housewarming present. It has been the only gun I've owned and shot extensively and I'm very comfortable with it. Not only have I been using it for a home protection gun, I have also been open carrying it during hiking and camping trips.
My grandpa recently died and the sentimental value of this gun has gone through the roof. I know it's not in pristine condition or anything but I no longer want to carry it in fear of losing it or messing it up. I want to get something to replace this gun for when im out camping and hiking.
I think .357 would be fine as there are only black bears and Bob cats in the area. I wouldn't mind trying a new brand, but I would like to get something brand new. Other than getting another large S&W I would like to know what you guys think of other options like the Ruger Blackhawk. I know little of guns so if you guys could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
Ruger makes some nice cheap revolvers that would work well. Also check out maybe a 1911 or some other 45. Personally I'm looking into a 12 gauge, but I have bigger things that want to kill me. Don't piss off the black bears too bad and maybe go hotter than 357. I have never had an issue with a bobcat, but don't believe people when they say their arent cougars. The cougars will fuck your shit.
>>31794907
I Bring my slr104 hiking every time.
Depends on your size and weight constraints. Could carry a mini or micro draco.
What do you guys think about that derringer that shoots 1 single .223 cartridge??
>>31794572
Modern day liberator pistol.
>unburned powder
>>31794584
And? It's a barrel, it's not like it's going to jam up.
OK, /k/. I'm looking for something to use as a lightweight rifle/range bag, and I'd like to to not be huge and scream "I HAVE A GUN IN ME". It'd be mainly used for a grab-and-go range bag, or BLM hiking bag, holding a taken down AR15 or similar, a couple magazines, and maybe some water/lunch. I've looked at the Noveske Discreet and the Sneaky(breeki) bags Covert Rifle bag, but neither is really what I want, and nothing else is really fitting the bill. What are some good, discreet rifle backpacks?

No, really, I saw a lot of people hating on him in another thread. I thought his videos on medieval topics were pretty well researched and interesting.
I non-ironically agree with him about the Bren/Spandau
>"When someone wins a Victoria Cross"
>Wins a Victoria Cross
>Win
You dont "win" a VC
He had some intersting points but doesnt know what he's talking about
>thought his topics was well researched
Found the problem.
He has a tendency to confuse options and personal theory with fact
