Idk which one to pick, I like them all. Family is offering to buy a pistol for Christmas bc of Hillary. We're friends with the LGS owner so I don't want to buy online since we already get a discount. I own a Daewoo 9mm and have owned a SD40 and 1911. Choices:
>USP 9
>Steyr C9-A1
>P2K .40
>FN45
>Beretta 96
>PX4 (9 or .40)
>P320 9mm
I've handled them all and like them all. I can only have one, have researched the pros and cons but fuck me I still can't decide. Any owners opinions or is it all noguns now?
If you like them all then ask to be surprised.
But you're probably not being critical enough if you haven't narrowed down your wants or needs enough to eliminate all but one or two of those.
this
Get the USP or Steyr
Oh god why
Why would they think anyone wants this

>that huge Remington rollmark
Because the name is so trusted you want to proudly display it in massive font

This is one of the ugliest modern pistols I've ever seen in my life
Who the fuck does Remington have designing their shit?
I do not like the trend towards front slide serrations. It's ugly most of the time.
The 30-30 is an old favorite of deer hunters, so why not make a bolt action deer rifle in 300 blackout or 30 BR? That would offer better accuracy and allow for spitzer bullets at similar levels of ballistic performance.
>>31793182
.300 blkout is 125gr @ 2200fps
.30-30 Win is 170gr @ 2200fps
Not really the same thing.
>>31793182
What does a bolt action 300 blackout have to do with a lever action 30-30
>>31793215
That's with a 16 inch barrel. If using a 24 inch barrel, you could very nearly match the performance of a 30-30.
>>31793233
Bolt action is almost always stronger and more accurate than lever action. I can't think of a reason to still use lever action other than emotional nostalgia.
How bad are these "budget" red dots? All I have experience with was the AimPoint I was issued.
Alot of people like the halosun, around 200. The aimpoints are great if you can pay for them, meprolight is good too. Eotech is not worth the price
>>31792960
>Eotech is not worth the price
mfw I wanted Eotech and now they're kill
>>31792931
primary arms reddots are very nice for the price. bright reddot that holds zero, up to 50k hour batt life (if you go advanced model), uses ap micro mounts, warranty from a company with a great rep. its a solid choice if youre looking for a new reddot for under $200
Hey /k/. My Std Mfg DP-12...aka "Gemini"

How good is it?
Kek that manual qr code is trying really hard to be futuristic and I love it

HSGI Tacos
looking at this product as a means to run multiple weapon systems off 1 plate carrier, instead of swift clips/placards.
can anyone tell me how well 308/7.62x51 magazines (m14/m1a particularly, but also pmag) fit when the pouches are side by side, with mags in them. say 3 pouches, 6 columns across
Two pouches wide, mine worked flawlessly taking ar mags, 5.45, x39, and scar mags fine without issues
However when I got a third one, the amoint that the tacos have to stretch to take a 308 mag choked out the middle pouch so it was really tough to put the mag in and it made the pouches want to not sit flat.
So if you're going two wide, it's great. Three and you might have issues
with 308 I would definitely run a chest rig as opposed to a dedicated plate carrier. many more options man
much more room to work witj
the thing is I want
A) armor plates
B) a molle back panel for hydration integrated
C)quick transition of magazine systems
D) access to GP etc pouches
WHAT THE LIVING FUCK IS THIS. /k/ ive used my intimate knowledge of weapons and even fucking google to try to find an answer to this inigma but i cant find it. WHAT KIND OF WIDELY PRODUCED GUN BESIDES THE SINGLE BARREL SCATTER GUN HAS A FUCKING BREAK BARREL. Is the artist trying to say that the 6.5×52mm Carcano Model 91/38 carbine was a fucking break barrel? And has a fucking pistol grip? The fuck brah it doesn't have a pistol grip in the previous pics but HE SURE HOLDS IT LIKE IT HAS ONE. And this obviously is clip fed but the fucker BREAKS IT IN HALF AT THE FUCKING STOCK AND INSERTS A ROUND WHAT THE ACTUAL CUNTRUCKING FUCK IS THIS. People are calling me stupid for not noticing but i fucking dare you guys to name me a widely produced rifle that has a break barrel besides obscure failed prototype and stupid shit tier .22s. Everyone fucking calls me stupid but no fucker can answer
The comic depicts jfk getting shot

Japan and South Korea are making new friends.
Proud of the little guys. First time Japan is conducting bilateral air exercises with someone who isn't America.
Hopefully we get some sweet footage of the Typhoons later.

if I grab a soup can, assume my preferred shooting stance (weaver) and try to hold it steady for as long as I can with one eye closed, will it improve my results as a shooter? I say a soup can because it's heavier than my gun.
>>31792072
how about you hold some free weights.
>>31792072
tie the soupcan/watterbottle/whatever to the front of you gun with string
hold stance as long as you can
>>31792072
10lb weight. Do it until you can't anymore then move to a 5lb weight. Once you can't lift your arms hammer out some pushups.
I am looking to buy a rifle for the home, but I don't know much about them. I've only used an M4 before and thought it was pretty good and accurate. All I have in my home is a 9mm S&W M&P Shield. I'm currently looking at the buying a Beretta ARX100. Is this a good idea? Can /k/ provide me any better suggestions?
Anyone willing to help? Any help would be appreciated. Kinda figured this would be the best place to ask.
>>31792048
If that pic is yours, then you already have a fantastic rifle
What made you want to choose the ARX?
>>31792606
I wish it was mine.
Basically, just read a few reviews on a handful of rifles and that had mostly positives. It also has a rail system, which I feel is a must. Caliber is good for both hunting and defense and price is fair ~1500. But really, I don't know too much about rifles. Was also considering a mossberg for the house because I'm familiar with them.
Back when I was little watching Indiana Jones and such, I didn't get that tanks were no longer like how they were in that film.
Why couldn't tanks stay were they were? Fuck time marching on in regards to military tech.
The guns and armor kept getting bigger.
People that didn't want their tanks to get steamrolled had to at least keep up.
>>31791972
I kind of wish they made a semi turreted jagtiger with that sexy boxy superstructure.

>Jagdpanzer IV
>3 Track Support Rollers
Artist clearly doesn't know what he's doing. Jagdpanzer IV is based on a panzer IV Chassis, which has 4 track support rollers, as opposed to the Pz.III which has 3.
The eternal debate.
Which is the better mos?
Neither.
They're both Army shit.

Whichever one isn't too stupid to figure out how to put words in a picture without help.
>A ship that towed warships to safety during World War II and battled 40-foot waves to help rescue seven people in what was portrayed in the book and film "The Perfect Storm" is poised to be sunk off the New Jersey and Delaware coasts.
>"It's always sad when you sink a ship, but some good will come of it," said retired Coast Guard Capt. Larry Brudnicki, who commanded the ship during the fateful 1991 storm. "It's being repurposed. It's being used. If it's cut up, who's going to know that their razor blade came from the Tamaroa?"
>Long before its role in "The Perfect Storm," the Tamaroa was known as the USS Zuni, which was first deployed by the Navy in World War II. Following the war, the Zuni was transferred to the Coast Guard and renamed the Tamaroa. The vessel spent nearly five decades rescuing ships in distress, intercepting smugglers at sea and enforcing fishery laws.
>"I'd rather see her be a permanent undersea memorial than be scrapped," said Bill Doherty, a New York man who served on the Tamaroa in the late 1960s. "She has too much history for that."
>Officials told The Record newspaper the 205-foot Coast Guard vessel Tamaroa will help grow a reef near Cape May Point by drawing large game fish and boosting recreational fishing.
>To those who oppose the sinking of the ship for sentimental reasons, Harry Jaeger, co-founder of Zuni/Tamaroa Maritime Foundation, said you can put on your scuba gear and it'll be right there.
