Is artillery, especially towed, obsolete?
>>31800967
No. Not by a long shot.
You could have Googled this.
It is cheaper than a plane full of bombs.

What about SPGs
Hey /k/. Just finished my first AR build and I thought id share it with you.
Here it goes (be nice please)
> spikes tactical upper and lower

>>31800880

What would you have suggested instead.
With the impending election. I'm feeling as if I need to do more to stockpile. However I'm not convinced they will send droves of oath breakers to my house to confiscate my guns. They will do it through fines and liens on my property and home.
I want to buy some 80% lowers and a quality jig so that I can buy my own.
Do any of you have any good websites for some quality jigs and quality 80% lowers?
I'm not the owner of a standing drill press just yet however I have access to one.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your help gentlemen and women.
Edit. not buy my own. Drill/mill my own.
nice try NSAFBICIALOL
>TFW I want to build an AR15
>I'll buy a 80% upper and mill it myself, it'll be fun!
>buy drill press
>buy cross vise
>In the hole $1000 + effort to mill a LR that would have cost me $150
>CSIS up my butt because manufacturing unregistered funs
>my butt is now a free glove test-fitting for CBSA every time I cross the border
Let's play a little design game, /k/. Design the best PDW that a person could build with minimal specialized tooling.
Rules:
Must play by burger rules, NFA is not only allowed but encouraged.
Must be chambered in something better than typical pistol rounds like 9/40/45. Better meaning flatter trajectory out to 100 yards, deliver more engery, have better wounding, ect. Basically, you need a ballistic reason to carry this instead of or in addition to a pistol. Super bonus points if the projectile crosses the magic 2,000 FPS mark.
Minor cutting, fitting, threading, welding is allowed. Something that needs intense machine time doesn't count. Let's say you get $100-$150 to use at a 'smith, but no more. This opens up some possibilities like milling for a red dot and the like.
Budget has no max, so you can buy infinite off the shelf parts as long as it doesn't violate the $150 machine time rule to combine them.
And go!
>>31800787
Would that be classed as AOW because of the front grip or would it still be a pistol because it is designed to hold a spare magazine?
>>31800828
Neither because its a nerf gun painted.
>>31800787
Basically a SCAMP
How can they fucking do this?
For you non Australians or unknowing Australians. The police ministers of the country are fixing to make lever action shotguns of greater than 5 magazine capacity Category D. Meaning only police and professional contract shooters can own them.
A FUCKING LEVER ACTION SHOTGUN
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY. If this passes, a semi automatic shotgun will be more accessible than a lever action shotgun. Fucking jesus christ.
>>31800784
>If this passes, a semi automatic shotgun will be more accessible than a lever action shotgun
I wouldn't mention this too loudly

Luckily the NSW police minister is trying to veto their attempt to make it Cat D and trying to say it should only be Cat B if it has to be a new category.
Got a question /k/. Since I'm not good at physics could anyone tell me if it's best to have the load on a club centred or spread out?
Pic related
>>31800643
Centered at the top, more weight on the end means more force from a hit. Also, that's not a club. This, is a club.
>>31800643
considering you dont have alot of weight i would say centered but for the most part they should be top heavy.
no go away or go to /diy/
>current year
>not using a legal pipe bomb for home defense
Well? What's your excuse, /k/?
I can made a 100% legal pipebomb in about a minute, currently, for free. The manufacture of explosives is not illegal as long as you use them on premises, within 24 hours.
>home defense explosives
>>31800442
Sleeper sandniggers are everywhere. You have to fight fire with fire.
I'm a special snowflake lefty and I'm sort of new to handguns, but I'm in the process of obtaining a CCW license. I was wondering if anyone here is a lefty/ambidextrous and could recommend a good CCW semi-automatic. So far I'm looking at the Beretta Nano, Glock 26, and Walther PPS.
leftists belong on reddit you dumb cuck this is trump territory

Would you rather get shot with a 3 blade broadhead from a crossbow, or a .22lr?
>>31800096
People don't intentionally hunt bears with .22lr. They do with crossbows.
Bullet>Arrow
>>31800096
As a bow hunter, I rather be punched by Mike Tyson, and then shot in the stomach with a 22. Than to get shot with that head.
Say I have only 600 dollars and I need a semi-automatic weapon with medium range.
What do I consider?

Why are Gavin's such amazing vehicles? With over 80,000 of the things produced and people who we consider our enemies using it, why hasn't it been updated instead of these misguided attempts at replacing it?
>>31800041
Here is a proposed and likely to be adopted airborne version of the Gavin. This vehicle could take an airbase by itself by landing on their run way.The versatility of this vehicle is astounding to say the least. I bet an M2 tracked vehicle wouldn't even come close to doing this. Only thing the M2 does better is consume more of the logistics line.

As for the stryker. Those in the U.S. Army that think that they are being "innovative" and the "advance guard" for positive change "transformation" because they want to slap a computer into an immobile, vulnerable rubber-tired armored car because it LOOKS DIFFERENT and LOOKS SEXY so they can claim that they were great "visionaries" are actually going to handicap the U.S. Army with less vehicular mobility and the resultant foot-slogging to try to protect the armored cars from destruction along roads will bring us disaster in the next war. The true visionaries were the WWII and Korea blooded combat men who created the air-transportable, amphibious, all-terrain mobile M113 for a truly "transformed" U.S. Army of thinking, smart, self-reliant warriors not current politically-correct, blind-obedient robots micromanaged from afar by top-down, stay-in-your-lane high-tech bureaucracy. If in our rush to exalt ourselves and our own ideas, our ego prevents us from recognizing the good ideas from others, especially the combat-proven and enduring culminations of many people's ideas from the past---the M113, the B-52, the M2 .50 caliber, the C-130....than the disease of arrogance reflects in our own mirror.
>>31800107
Here is a comic someone made. Really hammers home that M113 Gavin is the Army's version of the B-52--a combat-proven, durable platform we should be upgrading to get "transformational" capabilities not pissing our money away on inferior lav3Stryker rubber-tired deathtraps

Why do we have no-knock raids that get people killed in the US instead of just pinching the suspect when he's getting into his car or stepping out of the 7/11 or something? Good investigation and proper legwork could make no-knock raids entirely unnecessary.
Good investigation and proper legwork are expensive, and don't allow police to feel like bad ass motherfuckers.
Because muh
>what if they flush the evideeeeeence!!!1
>>31800001
>Good investigation and proper legwork are expensive
Yeah more expensive than kitting out a SWAT team and doing all the training and giving the unit MRAP its maintenance each month...
If sensha-dō were a real sport, would you play it? In what role and in what tank?

Probably a loader. I'm shit at driving, shit at math, and unable to make decisions.

On a related note, what does an assistant driver do?
Anyone here done the Archangel stock for the mosin naugant?

give back the rifle you took tyrone
It won't trim completely, it constantly wants to nose-up during flight, yet this navigation tutorial wants me to stay level during flight. Coming from civilian flight simulators, this is extremely enraging.
Anyone else here play DCS and understand how to control this bloody thing? It's all fucking over the place and I paid money for it so I have to learn it.
>>31799532
reduce throttle and then trim, you retard.
>>31799959
Did that, still controls like ass. And when I say that I mean that I'm constantly having to move the stick around.
