Why do burgers think they'll just roll over China in a conventional war? It is obvious that any conflict would take place on China's turf.
The US has some serious disadvantages
>They need to to cross the entire fucking ocean to engage the enemy
>enormous manpower disadvantage
>the Chinese Navy/Airforce doesn't need to match the Americans in sheer numbers to win, the US has global commitments while the Chinese do not
>the Chinese can make equipment faster and cheaper than the US can
>the US cannot afford even another Iraq size conflict, buried in debt
>the Chinese would be willing to sacrifice more to defend their homeland
>the technological gap between the two shrinks every year
>the US would never be able to successfully land enough men in China to ever have a chance of defeating the PLA
Deal with it burgers, you cannot defeat China in a conventional war and your superpower status should be revoked
They can't.
That's the reason China gets away with everything they do.
>>31916190
Because the U.S. has the ability to cause disruption of foreign aid and the entirety of China's time would be wasted sending soldiers to confiscate food from the poor while the cities died out. Or we could just fuck with their standing wave equipment so they couldn't cloud seed and by the time it took them to get past our allies in the sea most of the farming areas would be turned into dust bowl.
Lol one us marine could take on at least 30 Chinese conscripts in a firefight and win

>In last month's issue of the magazine, a former Marine Corps warrant officer added his criticisms to the debate.
>"The turret of the XM-1 is fraught with shot traps," declared Thomas Swearengen. "A single high explosive projectile trapped between the turret and the hull can readily remove the turret."
>Reached at his home in Burton, S.C., Mr. Swearengen elaborated on his criticism of the XM-1. He claims that its glacis plate (the frontal part of the tank) "cannot absorb direct hits by high velocity projectiles nor can it withstand hits from HEAT [high explosive antitank shells.] It needs an angle of about 55 degrees to be able to deflect these rounds."
>Calling the tank "a virtual death trap," Swearengen, who served in the Marine Corps as an explosive ordinance disposal (EOD) officer and who describes himself as "a student of explosive ordinance," urges an immediate redesign of the XM-1 to eliminate shot traps and provide maximum ballistic protection with sloped armor. He adds that no amount of British- designed Chobham armor, with which the tank is liberally equipped, "can help the XM-1 in its present configuration."
Based marines knows the truth. That damn thing cant handle a T-62 ;^)
Let alone an early T-80 which is in hindsight totally not a T-64 with a different suspension and engine.
We need to listen to the marines if we ever are gona win against the russians.

So I'm a big fan of Metal Gear Solid V and I really like the design of the AM MRS-4, its like the perfect combo of a CAR-15, FAL and FNC. Now what I'd like to know is if theres anything similar to it in production. I'm not big into the super tacticool bullshit thats all the craze, I like what this offers, simple tactical. Aluminum body, side folding skeleton stock, ect.
Now if I was made of money I'd just go buy an FNC but I don't have 3k for a fun gun. What kind of obscure stuff might be around that would match what I'm looking for?
Also general Metal Gear thread, people over in >>31907239 were having a good time discussing MG earlier

What do you guys think of the cuck ball gag attachment?
Would this be a good addition to the Policeman's arsenal for a situation that they cannot deescalate but they don't immediately need a lethal option?
>suspect has a knife or blunt object but is more then 4 seconds away at bum-rushing speeds and surrounded
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToFzh7sMV6Y
>>31914646
I'd say just shoot them with a regular bullet.
If someone tries to kill you, their life is forfeit.
>>31914646
There is a reason why lethal and less lethal options are completely separate from each other.
>>31914646
When would this be applied compared to any other circumstances officers find themselves in, and to what degree do you really believe it would be useful in deescalating a situation? Let's think about this. Officers have tasers, batons, OC, their guns. They don't usually have all of the above, but if we're going to give them cuckballs, why would we do that before the other shit?
What scenario would a cuckball be useful? In a potentially deadly situation where you want to have deadly force in hand, but you want the possibility of a warning shot to show them you mean business?
I really don't imagine much of an improvement in police homicide rates with this. This would be for a suicidal/mentally ill person, and they're already not in the right state of mind. If you point your gun at them and start giving them commands, but they ignore them, do you really believe a cuckballs to the chest is going to make them suddenly "wake up" and realize the error of their ways?
We have countless videos of armed suspects standing around, surrounded by officers, being tazed, OC'd, beanbagged, and sometimes fatally shot. People like this can only ever really be talked into compliance by a calm, cool officer. This doesn't describe 99% of the officers these cuckballs are intended for.
But hey, if it saves just one homeless, drug abuser, sex offender, repeat offender, HIV+ asshole, then the millions we spend getting this out there will be worth it, right? At least that's what we'd be led to believe.
