Can I use my nails as a useful weapon, or does the cost benefit ratio not scale well
There's a reason we evolved to ball our hands into fists, while fingernails became useless.
>>31925669
disposable thumbs?
>>31925669
Because we were apes.
Primate musculature is MUCH more robust than ours.
Andre the Giant couldn't beat an average chimp in a fight. Apes are beasts.
>>31925622
Yes, fingernails are absolutely weapons. That's the first thing they teach in Women's Se;f Defense classes. Take Keratin to harded your nails up, and grow them out (a little). It's easy to tear skin, and pain will scare off most attackers.
A house cat probably won't kill you, but it'll hurt like fuck if you pick a fight.
Claws are very effective weapons.

Colonel, the Soviets got a tank that reloads itself. They can make tanks cheaper and smaller targets.
Well that sounds like a real swell idea, we should build something like that. Let's get the Germans in on this, they're good at tanks
That sounds like a pretty good idea, we should do that.
>1971
Congressman, the MBT-70 project will revolutionize America's armoured doctrine. The autoloader has nearly...
GENERAL, you've wasted billions of tax payer money. We're going to redirect funds to a new tank, and by God we're going to build it the AMERICAN way.
>2016
>M1A2 Abrams is the best tank in the world
>Autoloaders aren't as good as having another crewman
>Retards who think you can't just have a fourth crewman doing useful things PLUS an autoloader
>>31925510
>larger profile and extra 15 tons for literally no reason
manually loading was outdated years before M1 Abrams began testing.
>rotating driver in the turret
That design choice probably killed the project by itself.
ok boys so i found out that pipe guns are 100% legal here in NZ if they comply with A category firearms licensing
must be over 30''
but im unsure of what i want to make, tossing it up between .410 and 12g
but seems to be a bit of dispute in what pipe to use and what shells i can use in them
any help would be much appreciated
PS: homemade general
>>31925469
>but seems to be a bit of dispute in what pipe to use and what shells i can use in them
you use whatever pipes you can get your hands on that are the right dimensions
if you have the option avoid galvanized pipes since they get toxic when heated
if thats all you have just use galvanized its not like its fatal
you are going to need some files to clean up the inner seam
cut with a hacksaw do not use pipecutters since they flare the barrel
>>31925491
the only thing i was worried about was the pipe splitting down the seam, what are the chances realistically
(pic is a home made mace OC)
>>31925536
>the only thing i was worried about was the pipe splitting down the seam, what are the chances realistically
not much the pipe you end up with is like 2-3 times thicker than a real shotguns barrel and youve got a second pipe over it with even more thickness
the real danger is your endcap blasting backwards or having a loose grip on the receiver pipe and having that fly backwards
Which makarov is the best?
Also...where is the best place to find grips and magazines?

What's the argument in not owning guns if you're suicidal?
I could easily kill myself with a steak knife but don't.
>>31925385
>I could easily kill myself with a steak knife but don't.
Then why haven't you?
>>31925385
Either man the fuck up and an hero or get a Glock .40 since you no longer fear death.

No, seriously what the actual fuck is this shit?
This is a bolt action rifle trying to be an AR-15, why the fuck would anyone even buy into this?
>Shit ass optic
>Combined with just as shit ass Iron sights 90% of the time
>Short as fuck useless barrel that ruins ballistics in exchange for trying to be a tactical rifle
And if you want to argue that 200 ft/lbs of energy doesnt matter you're a loser
>Tacticool sling
>gimmicky concept made by an instructor who NEVER saw combat in his life (people will ACTUALLY defend this, its amazing)
>claims to be a gun that can do everything somehow
>shit at long range
>fucking ludicrously inadequate for close range
How did anyone with half a brain-stem let this catch on?
>>31925362
Anon the scout rifle concept isn't a combat rifle.
it's a rifle for the bush, against animals.
>>31925362
I'm going to need sauce on the snakes

so... its a just as awful hunting rifle?
I fail to see how this gives it any saving grace
What are good, yet affordable brands for gun safes and storage?
How do you store your firearms?
Should you invest in a safe, and how much should you spend?
Gun storage general
Spend as much as you're comfortable spending. My safe cost $400 on sale. Its contents cost a lot more than that. Safe snobs will say that you need to spend at least $1000 for a good safe but if you bolt it to the wall/floor it'll do the job of defeating most intruders who are looking for easy targets. Yes they can hack their way into it with an axe or saw through it but a determined attacker can do that to many, many safes.
>>31925231
Brands of safes are irrelevant then? Are electronic safes worth the extra money?
>>31925241
Always check on reviews of the product before you buy, one of the best ways to deter thieves is to make the safe out of sight, in a closet or the basement for example, preferably down or at least up a flight of stairs, and basically what >>31925231 said.
Another way is to never tell anyone you have guns who you don't trust, don't go advertising what you own, when you get the safe try to be discreet about it and get it inside before dindus see you.
Don't let anyone of your friends or family who isn't trust worthy know where the safe is, or the contents either, loose lips sink ships, so just don't tell any of the females of your family desu.
Iv'e been browsing this board for a while and iv'e noticed that that there aren't many threads about tactics and strategy.
And your guns are alot less usefull in a revolution/shtf/whatever if you cant work together and preform group/joint operations with teams that aren't your guerrilla crew
Dunning-Kruger effect is rampant among firearm owners. Until rubber hits the pavement they will believe they are tier 1 operators and never train.

Maybe we simply don't want to talk about it in front of the FBI.

So, what's the story on MP5 flats?
It seems like an insane amount of work going from demilled parts kit with a flat to functioning weapon.
Anyone here built one? Would it just be easier to find a HK91? (But then you can't swap trigger group frames without a lot of work)
I guess nobody knows...
