either you don't run comms in which case you should have gotten a full cut. Or more likely you run yours comms under your helmet but you've never worn your helmet for any appreciable amount of time because that shit SUCKS.

3 questions:

1) Why are you buying the gun?
2) What are you really planning on using it for?
3) Are you able to actually go practice with it?

These aren't "huur why you need gun?" questions. Really.

Are you buying it because you want to start a collection, just like guns, or no particular reason beyond wanting one? Are you using it for home defense, hunting, sport shooting, 3 gun, a combination? Do you have a range or public ground near enough to get regular practice in and can you afford to feed it?

my pops had very little interest in touching any of my ARs, didn't want to risk messing with my garand, took a look at my new M1A and said "now THAT'S a rifle built to kill people" and proceeded to strip it and tell me stuff. It's VERY hard to get him to talk about vietnam, but he did.
