Both the CZ and Glock 17 have advantages over the Hi Power, and the Hi Power has some advantages over the CZ and G17. I just prefer the classic for being simpler and, in my experience, handier. Of course, everyone's experiences typically differ.

Meh, I'm fine with single action only, personally. I also prefer cocked-and-locked. Fuck double-to-single initial trigger pull. I'd prefer consistency throughout. As for a decocker, again, not a big deal with me. The things that most bother me about the CZ (though I LOVE the design) is the short little slide that makes me nervous about getting a good grip on, and the headache of a complete disassembly (that little fucking spring and that little fucking plate in that fucking manual safety I swear to fuck...). The Hi Power doesn't have those issues whatsoever in my experience. As for the disadvantages I mentioned...

There is probably more, so it's not like I'm touting the Hi Power as being the greatest pistol ever to grace the world of gun owners, but for me personally, it's the best 9mm I ever shot. Even managed a 2.5" group at 10m before with 4 shots. That was a good day... I felt proud that day. Focus on the front sight, get a good sight picture, sloooooowly squeeze the trigger, don't anticipate the recoil, and it was just beautiful. They actually didn't all have the same point of aim either. They were printing to the right (likely too much finger on the trigger, which I did not know at the time), so I constantly compensated by aiming SLIGHTLY to the left, resulting in a nice little line of 4 shots with VERY close placement in terms of elevation. If I had shot all 4 rounds with the same point of aim, I shit you not, I think I could have managed a 1" group at 10m with my last 4 shots that day. I tried to guide them to the point on the target that I wanted to hit, though.

Did I mention that pic related is a Hi Power made during WWII? Nearly 70 years old at the time, it was.

The only things I liked more about my P01 were the grip ergos and the aesthetics. Everything else was extremely mediocre. The trigger especially surprised me. Out of all the handguns I've owned, it had by and far the worst trigger, except for maybe the Sig SP2022 I had. It wasn't a bad gun, just not as good as it's hyped up to be on /k/.

CZ ergonomics are stellar. Glocks are good guns but feel too blocky. Tried a friends g19 gen3 and his g22 gen4 and liked the larger frame more, but neither have the same glove like feel of the CZ.
PS Don't tell nobody but I'm kind of fond of the glawk trigger, it goes bang real good every time.
